Coots is still the man.. and was the absolute right choice for captain.. I think he'll be even better next year

A lot of hate from the fans for Coots after he got the C. Idk if he will see this but coots is 100% my favorite player. I love watching his hockey IQ and I've seen his pucks skills go up. And to come back and perform like he did after 2 back surgeries? Crazy! I think he has the tenacity and can-do attitude that young players can learn from. He plays so smart. I hope he knows through all the haters, there's at least one guy who thinks hes the best. Keep up the grind. Prove the haters wrong.

First yr back from missing 2 with back issues. He ran out of gas after the first half. Hopefully has a big summer & can go the full way next yr playing well

Congrats on a great comeback season Coots! Most people go on disability from their desk job after 1 spine surgery. Not you. 2 surgeries & 2 years off. Truly amazing work by you. Your coach is a moron that didn’t pace your play. I guess Torts doesn’t understand conditioning since he couldn’t even make it to the AHL. Shocked Briere didn’t have your back. That will hurt him when he wants to sign free agents. You should request a trade to a team that will use you appropriately & value what you bring. I can think of 5 teams that would love to have you. Have a great summer & congrats on the C!
