    I changed from my 2020 RS to the 2023 RS (in cosmic yellow) two weeks ago and can't believe the improvement over what was already a great bike, the handling is definitely sharper yet still planted and the new gearing has pepped up acceleration in low and mid range revs, my only gripe is the TFT which IMO is a little too cluttered, the smaller supposedly budget TFT on the R is better as it's much less complex and everything you need to know is right in front of you but overall it's an absolutely brilliant bike that's raised the bar for middleweight nakeds once again. I've had 31 bikes in my 45 years of riding, ranging through two stroke 250s, 350s and even an RG500 Suzuki, CBR600RRs, R6S, GSX-R750 and 1000R, R1s and Fireblades and the highest compliment I can pay the new Street Triple RS is that I rate it higher than all my previous bikes, I'm in my 60s but every time I get on the RS I get the same feeling I got from my Yamaha 350LC when I was 20 years old.

    I‘ve been riding my 23 RS for approx. a month now and I have to say, it is a great bike. Handling, seating position and the engine are great. Interestingly, the display is not an issue for me. I see the liquid temp, the air temp, speed and the revs without any issues. Sure, it can be cluttered for some, if you add the trip counter, avg. speed and so on, but imo it‘s always a personal preference whether or not you want to see lots of info or just the speedometer and the rev counter. For me, the display on the R is a definite downgrade.

    I changed from mt09sp 2021 to 765rs cosmic yellow. Everything is fine for now. There are also some shortcomings. For example, there are no steps in the electronics (TC 1, 2, 3). Whether it is needed is debatable 😊.

Sundays nothing is open but I've had a few "security" cars drive by and one actually stopped and talked to us to see what we were doing and he said "ok have fun and keep safe" but bottom line is no one has ever cared as long as we were really practicing and not being a hooligan. take care, Scott

    As a BMW rider how did you find the seating position? Is it comfortable enough?

  • @NothingToProve

    @NothingToProve

    7 ай бұрын

    Well, comparing my 1250RT and 1300GS to a middleweight naked is not fair at all. So with that said, I loved this bike, if some one were to give me any middleweight for free, I'd take this, hands down. This would be my track day weapon and is still a blast on the street. Seating position is about 3-4 degrees forward, typical naked position but the seat is thin and probably would get old after a few hours on it. Comfort is not a consideration on a naked, unless you are talking the Trident or Kawi Z650 or SV650, but those 3 are a lot cheaper. The Suzuki S8 was fairly comfortable but very forgettable too. take care, Scott

    @@NothingToProve Hı Scott, I recently purchased a Trident. Putting performance aside, is there much difference between Trident and the new 765 rs in terms of comfort? I really loved testriding this bike for a few hours. It is SO at home on small backroads, it’s just perfect for that! But on the highway it became a bit buzzy and unstable. Overall I preferred the MT-09 SP, it was just a better all rounder. And even if the 765 engine was great, the gruntier 890cc CP3 was noticeably stronger, except at higher revs where the 765 screamed a bit more and does about 2000rpm more. But purely for street use the lower rpm strength of the CP3 is better I think.
