I'll take 39 mpg highway for a good size sedan all day long.
Yesterday, I purchased a New 2023 Camry SE. Firstly, thank you for your video. I was shocked as I was leaving the dealership that the passenger seats were manual. I am coming from owning BMWs and Lexus. I am over the exuberant costs of maintenance for those cars and decided on a practical and reliable car. I had no idea that Toyota sells the Camry options a la carte, so I was taken by surprise that the driver's seat is automatic, the passenger seats were manual. I was also shocked that it didn't come with home link. The plus for me is the Camry I bought is old school. And this is exactly what I wanted. It is a key start (not a push button start). My starter on my Lexus stopped working. Cost to fix $1000. So I asked for an actual Key Start. My Camry doesn't have BSM, a feature I did not want. So if my windshield gets a chip or crack, Safelite can come to my home and replace it. I had a crack window on a prior car. I had to drive to Safelite, wait 4 hours, because the windsheild needed calibration with it being equipped with BSM. My Camry takes regular unleaded. Prior cars were unleaded plus and premium. My Camry is worry-free, meaning I don't have to worry where I park it. My BMW was keyed and My Lexus had a door ding and it pissed me off, because these to me were expensive cars and the inconvenience of having to get them fixed. Anyway, I can always trade this in later for an Audi eTron S Sportback (a dream car, if not for the 240 mile range) or Tesla (wanting the new 2024 redesign) cars I was considering before the Camry. But for now, I am going to enjoy not having to worry and baby a car and paying high costs on maintenance/repairs, something that is far more important to me than driving a luxury car.

Stick with Toyota and Lexus and you'll be fine. The biggest fear when considering buying electric vehicles are getting trapped/locked inside when they glitch and totally shut down while you're driving on a busy highway and not even the flashers or lights work and you're totally locked out of everything you're literally dead in an electric coffin car.

@dapperlygrungy3189 may I ask how much was the end price for the vehicle. I'm trying to get an estimate before I lock down on anything ya know.

@@robortiz5993 The 2023 Camry SE I bought was approx. $28,500. With CA tax and license it came to around #31,800. I specifically ordered an SE that has a traditional key. I didn't want auto keyless key fob, because if you don't monitor the low battery on the fob, you are stuck having to find a place that sells batteries at 1 am like it happened to me in my Lexus GS. I also ordered without sunroof. I didn't need it and I never used mine in previous cars. I also didn't want BSM Blind Spot Monitor. I also have the shadow trim. The decals are all in black. This came to $28,500. They offered me $500 off MSRP. Are you in Southern California?
Thank you so much for such GREAT info!
New subscriber here! I have been watching a ton of Camry videos because I just bought a 2024 Camry 2 days ago... You are the most through and touch all bases of any other video I have watched on you tube.. All though this is the second Toyota I have owned, I still learned things from your video that I have wondered since buying my first Toyota 4 yrs ago... Love the way you explained the Eco, Sports, and Normal mode.. Great job! You made me subscribe!

Toyota Camrys Are Very Popular Vehicles.
Toyota camry cars are so reliable
I just bought the 24 Camry Se Hybrid Nightshade for more power, you are right the power and looks does not match without the hybrid set up.
Nice but I prefer the black/white wheel of the regular SE
Considering that the 1968-1969 Mustang with the 302 V8 (non-J code) only put out 210-230 horsepower, that Camry's 4 cylinder isn't doing too bad. I still ordered my XSE with the V6 though.
What about the engine start stop function? Hopefully it doesn't have it. Thanks
The 2023 SE looks great, especially with the OEM exterior black out emblems and side window trim blackout. The reason for no foglights in the front fascia panels if most likely for cost and maybe supply volume. There's always the aftermarket for these popular cars. People tend to make those aftermarket accessories and customization parts. I might end up getting a Reservoir Blue or Calvary Blue FWD Camry SE.

Fog lamps are available in the aftermarket vendors.
I get what Toyotas doing but even a base of $31k should have a bit more features! If people would stop paying these ridiculous prices then they’d have no choice but to lower prices for average people. Not that long ago a fully loaded xse was $36k
Now in San Francisco it is a 36000 dollars car with dealer's enforced markup price

You are paying for Commiefornia and the Pompous ass governor!
when you push the accelerator max, there is no difference. the difference is before the middle of the accelerator.
Don’t like the Lower profile tires. Toyota should configure the car with the same tires as the LE. I won’t buy it specifically for this reason,
So it's not remote start?!come on

You are not driving sporty in the rain, fog, or snow. Stop. This isn't a WRX.
