Just put 250 down for a holding good to see everyone's happy with it any complaints?

When you initially set the cruise control you can do it by thumbing down to SET or thumbing up to RES. I found that out accidentally and it was confirmed in my owner's manual.

Just ordered one last week, I’m pumped!

I spent over a month looking for the right car. By the end I was exhausted and figured I’d never find the car for me for the price I was looking for (under 30 grand). I wanted a leather wrapped steering wheel, “leather” seats, a sporty feel, all the new driver aids, good gas mileage, over 8” of ground clearance, a cargo space big enough to sleep in, AWD, and a nice interior. The RAV4 was too expensive for what it was. The CRV was also out of my price range. The Mazda cx50 is nice but MPG was meh and it was a new car, and not made in Japan. The cx 30 was tiny. I was about to give up until I found this. WOW! Thank god I didn’t give up. This car literally fits all my needs. What an amazing machine’

I am really happy with my 23 limited. Fully loaded with the Harmon stereo package. 😍I originally wanted the sport but fell in love with the leather seats and other cool features on the limited. The seats are super comfy. Perfect car for me!

@@evynj9294 the leather seats were a big thing for me. They are really comfy. I also got 18 inch alloys over the 17’s on the sport. The upgraded stereo system was another big plus for me. Not sure if you can control the temp with your voice in the sport model but I can in mine. Really great feature to have so you don’t fuss around with the knobs when you are driving. To me it’s like a little luxury compact SUV ☺️

I was debating between the Premium and the Sport trims but wow. This video has made me lean more toward getting a sport trim. I'm test driving one tomorrow so fingers crossed that I like it.

I've had my 2023 cool grey khaki limited for almost a month and I love it! It's a comfy ride! Only had to wait a month to get it so not bad.

Hi Alex Love the videos! Just got my 2023 Crosstrek Outdoor (I believe its the Canadian version of the US Sport) and loving it. Can't figure out how to change the weather setting in the info bar- shows New York not my area in Canada. Any assistance is appreciated.

I frickin love this car. My Daughter got it a few months ago. I would have got one last may but power seats was a must for the wife. We had to get something else. I am happy Subaru is do well. Competition is good for us, the consumers. Partnering with Toyota was a genius move. I look forward to the redesign.

I have six thousand miles on my 2022 Sport and absolutely enjoy the model. The Pearl White is a great color. The mpg is excellent if you drive with care. Very pleased with the Crosstrek.

I previously owned two Subaru Foresters and loved them. The reason I haven't decided to buy another Subaru is because of the CVT. I know that when Subaru switched to the CVT they had lots of problems at the beginning. I am now considering a Crosstrek Sport. Thank you for the video very informative.

I've got a 2021 sport, which is essentially identical to the 22 sport and 23 sport as far as I'm aware, and I've loved it so far.

Does the 2023 with the larger 2.5 engine/CVT come with a button to disable that annoying auto stop/start feature? I've seen where it can be disabled on the new Outbacks on the big screen...and the Forester has an actual button on the console...but what about this Crosstrek Sport?

I just bought a 2023 Sport . Question: does the black dots/tint just behind rear view mirror, does the eyesight look through that or is that not in the sights of the eyesight cameras?

How's the Power of the 2.5 ? I had a 2009 Impreza sport with the 2.5 and it was great. Then a 2014 Crosstrek 2.0 and it was awesome but the motor was slow. Thinking about the 2023 Crosstrek Sport. How is the motor ? Will it get out of it's own way with the extra 30 ponies ?

Hi Ales have had my New 2023 cross trek sport a week after three days noticed wrinkles in Black molding not smooth can really see in sun have you heard any one else mention this ?

Just put my deposit down last night, the dealer opened the trunk and to our surprise the crossbars were in a box, those usually need to be ordered, I kayak fish so this made me very happy to see. This car looks amazing and has all the bells and whistles, very excited to purchase it today.

Thank you for your video. It’s because of your video I purchased a Crosstrek sport. I only wish you could have gotten the commission.

We have an older couple who are neighbors that bought a Crosstrek 2 years ago. It’s her car and they both love it. They have the 2.5L engine and he states that when they have to go to Seattle over the high Mtn passes, they get 33mpg. When they go to Spokane, WA they get 35mpg. They enjoy their Crosstrek and he told me that when it wears out, they’ll replace it with another one. The Crosstrek is a bit small for our needs, so I drive a Forester and my wife drives her Outback.

I would be very interested in a Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness Trim. Hoping that as Cresstrek Wilderness is available soon. Excellent Review.

Ordered mine end of July. Got a call on Friday saying it was 'in transit' (On a truck in the states somewhere). And they were were running my loan through so I'm guessing they are confident its on the way soon.

Darn...just called my dealer to see how my order was going and it got pushed back to October (no specific date yet). Apparently unlike the Outback or other models manufactured in Subaru of America Indiana Factory, the Crosstrek model is still only manufactured in Japan. It is then shipped over and placed on a transit truck to be delivered to Colorado. Oh boi. Hope everyone else is getting their car faster than us in Colorado.

I'm in Utah & ordered my Crosstrek Sport on July 5th, ETA was set for September. I got a notice end of August that new ETA was now September 7th, the 7th came & went with no word but on the 9th got word ETA was moved to the 17th. On Tuesday Sep.13th I got notice it was on a train & would be here Thursday the 15th & on Friday the 16th I drove away in it & I LOVE IT! Colorado is close to me so hopefully yours will be coming pretty quick now, have fun with it... ☺

Sometimes I take my mom’s crosstrek to the Dragon, handles so good!

You're welcome! Yes, I sell to people in other states quite often! You are however required to pick up here at the dealership. Most of my customers are in the mid-west but I have had customers travel here from as fas as South Florida.

Just purchase 23 Crosstrek W/Manual and unfortunately not all crosstreks come standard with X mode.

Couple weeks ago I did a build on the Subaru website for a Crosstrek Limited. It wasn’t my first time playing with the build feature thanks to one of your previous videos but first time going all the way to point where I could save the build and download a PDF. Extremely impressive! Now just need to make a decision. Oh decisions, decisions! 😃. Question: what’s the estimated turnaround time on a Crosstrek Limited from order to delivery? Like many others I’m sure, I’m looking forward to you posting a video of your Outback when it arrives. Thanks again for this very informative video.

Glad I could help! If I order a Crosstrek Limited today, it would arrive the last week of December. Unfortunately, our 22' Forester orders are closed right now but the 23' is expected to open mid-sept. My guess is that those orders will arrive in January. Both are great cars so it's tough to decide. The Forester is larger and has a higher price tag.

I ordered a loaded '21 in late August last year. I was told 12 - 16 weeks at that time BUT 😁. Thankfully another dealer had ordered 1 the exact same way I wanted mine. So my dealer struck a dealer to dealer business trade and I got it in mid-October, instead of late December - early January. Had the dealer add a few other things after it arrived and I walked out the door msrp'd @ $33,600.

Happy to help! The side mirrors fold in manually. So you just have to push on them with your hand to fold them in.

To open the gas tank is it a button or can you open it just by pressing the gas tank or can do both options? And does the gas tank have a nozzle on it ?

there’s a latch on the bottom by the driver door on the floor. you have to pull it to open the gas tank and yes, there is a nozzle

I do know that the Canadian spec is different but I'm not sure whether or not it has the dark grey wheels.

Im bummed of the 2023 sport i got last week.. i found two faults already,, my infotainment screen has this "peeling" on the top corners.. too early for this to have it.. and also, there is a gaping of the black cladding near the passengers door.. will bring it back to my dealer for fixing.. but just sad this happened to my unit..

The 2023 Ascent orders are open now. Our Ascent orders we're placing right now are coming late November. The 2023 Forester orders are expected to open mid-Sept and those orders will be projected to arrive late Dec/Jan.

i have a 2014 forester right now, been thinking of upgrading to a newer subaru car but not sure if i should get an outback or a crosstrek, i live in PA so we sometimes get deep snow, i love the crosstrek but unsure if the smaller size would make it not as good in the snow compared to an outback or even another forester. is the crosstrek's smaller size that big of an issue or would it still be good, also cargo capacity. would i have that much bigger issues, not really hauling a lot with my forester, would it be better to stay in a bigger size just in case i ever have to haul something big or?

Both drive well in the snow so you shouldn't see a difference there. Both have a 1500 lb tow rating. I'd choose whichever one feels most comfortable for you to drive. If you like the smaller and more nimble feel of the Crosstrek, go for that. But if you need more space than the Crosstrek can offer, step it up to the Forester. Both are great cars and you can't go wrong with either!

I am in PA up by the NY state line. Tires are the biggest issue in snow. I don't run the OEM rubber on my Outback touring XT in snow. It would not get up the hills we have even in xmode.

@@Wrang15 Bridgestone Blizzaks have been the best snow tire I've had over the years. Goodyear makes a good one also. Firestone WinterForce are the worst I've personally tried. Which also includes tires from Dunlop & Pirelli.

I live in Alaska where we have real snow and the Crosstrek does just fine just put on some good studless snow tires and you’ll be good 👍

My fiance got a 22 limited and she loves it! Its such a safe vehicle. I myself and waiting for the dealership to get a forester limited. When are the 2023 Foresters coming?!

Not on the sport. But you can use Apple CarPlay/Android Auto which a lot of people prefer (including myself)

They have been arriving on-time with some even coming in earlier than expected. However, I haven't seen any 23' Outbacks yet. Mine was originally expected to arrive the last week of Oct and is now showing last week of Sept.

Is there a substantial difference in the power feeling between the 2.5 and 2.0? I don’t need bells and whistles but if the 2.0 is laggy I’ll have to go with the 2.5.

the 2.5 has 30 more hp and 30 more lb ft of torque. I personally don't think it's a substantial difference. I would suggest driving both if you have an opportunity to compare. The Base and Premium (lower trims) have the 2.0 only and the Sport and Limited (higher trims) have the 2.5 only.

The 2022 Crosstrek orders have been closed for a few months now. 2023 orders are open but availability will vary dealer-to-dealer depending on if they have sold out of their allocation from Subaru.

Interesting, base MSRP is listed as $27,995.00 on the official site...quite a price drop.

Those who have driven a crosstrek and rav4 which would you prefer for longterm ownership?

The Crosstrek is much quieter and a better ride. Consumer Reports barely has a recommendation rating on the RAV4

Hi Alex! I just got this car new a couple of months ago. I am in Canada so the sport version here is called the Outdoor trim. I have the Startex seats. I wanted to ask you if you e heard of people complaining about back pain from the seats? It was fine up until about the 2nd week, just a 5 minute drive is causing me very bad back pain, to the point that I barely drive the car because of it. I’ve tried everything, lumbar pillow, seat pillow, every sitting position imaginable, nothing works. I even read about people removing the hard plastic lumbar support in the seat a couple of weeks ago that doesn’t work. I do not get back pain from any other seat, not just from vehicles, but any seat. This vehicle has been literally crippling me. Thank you for posting your videos man!

Sorry to hear about your issues with the seats! I haven't heard of any complaints with the seats. Subaru did however redesign the seats for the 2024 model to make them more comfortable. They also added lumbar support to the lower trims here in the US, which Subaru previously didn't have for us.

You can use nav with your apple carplay/android auto. The built in nav is only on the limited with the optional package.

You forgot to mention the seat back protectors. I was told that the Sport comes standard with them.

nope, the only "protective liner" it comes with is for the floor of the cargo area, all others are an addon package.

Nice Crosstrek..... but I think Subaru should offer what I have in my 2018 model mines lifted 2 inch rough country with primitive racing plate guard under engine bay and transmission with Fumoto quick easy oil drain valve set with 15 inch method rims with bf Goodrich tires 235 75 r 15 carriage rack and complete JBL system with JL sub with 5 channel amp I think SUBURA should make this the standard LIMITED MOUTAIN off road PACKAGE they would sell like hot cakes tbh

Most annoying part about my 2023 Crosstrek sport is the stupid automatic engine shut off when you hit the breaks. It's such a stupid feature I wish I could just disengage it for good. But you have to hit the button every time

Great question. Sorry nobody answered. Only thing I could say , I got a new car with leather, last May and the smell is still strong. I would guess a year. If you have a garage and could keep the windows down all the time maybe just a few months.

Really liked your video but I don't believe Op 22 gives you the Reverse Automatic Braking feature like you said. 😏 Rear Cross Traffic Alert yes but not RAB like in op 33.

Hi Alex-if you are unable to answer this perhaps you can check into this-I've had my 2022 Forester Sport for about 2000 miles now and one thing I have noticed is when in cruise the rpms are substantially higher than non cruise mode. I haven't been using it which is annoying. Otherwise it seems like a nice car. Really like you vids and look forward to them👋🍀

Hi Alex, Great video. We have a neighbor who bought a Crosstrek. They enjoy it very much. They have grandchildren in the Seattle area so several times a year they have to go over the snow and ice covered passes during the winter months. Subie’s are awesome for traction and are far superior with their AWD system. That’s why we bought our Outback. Anyhow, when my Rav wears out I’m thinking about buying a Forrester Touring, as I need more interior space than the Crosstrek has to offer. Is it true that the Crosstrek and the Forester are on the same platform? The price of the Forester Touring is the same as the Toyota Venza Limited or the Lexus NX, both of which are hybrids. Hmmm, a Subaru Forester or a Lexus for the same price and the NX is a hybrid…

Hey David! Yes, the Forester and Crosstrek are both built on a similar platform. Both will perform well in the snow so I would suggest picking whichever one is most comfortable for you to drive. If you need more space, go for the Forester. The Forester is also most comparable to the Rav4 in size.

@@alexpmo That’s what I thought. Thank you Alex. We always have large dogs, so we need room for them. When we travel, we take our Outback. It has plenty of room for our luggage and our (current) 120# chocolate Lab.
