My father in law, brother in law and now my nephew have been sprint car and modified racers here in Missouri since the mid 60's. We've had the pleasure of being around him dozens of times and he's even nicer in person than he comes across on TV. A fun family fact. A.J. Foyt got his first his first USAC win at Olympic Stadium in here in K.C. My father in law ran 4th!

Both the Kennys....Schrader and Wallace....may not be the best out there in any discipline, but willing and more than capable of wheeling any type of car, anywhere. A couple of true racing legends in their own, albeit unique ways!!

Schrader is the best example of a pure old school ‘racer’ I can point to. Plus he’s an absolute hilarious lovable nut - which is pretty dadgummed cool too. I’m pulling for Schrader in whatever he’s wheeling. Be it a Cup car, a super late model, a riding lawn mower, a motorized bar stool, or a wheelchair. 👍🏼🇺🇸

I’ve only made it through the heat races so far… but this is awesome racing. Hats off to the series and to the racetrack for putting this on. I’d say something nice about the drivers but this may literally be the highest-ego fields I’ve ever seen in motor sports. Love it.

Thanks racefan84! Watching this reminded me of a kid racing karts with P Tracy. His driving style hasnt changed much. Cant get within 5 feet of him or you wind up in either the fence or the grass lol. For the fans of women in racing, i hear Tony is already planning on getting @KatieHettinger4922 into the series.

That nostalgia for the Thunder intros.... I miss Jenks, an the 90s era Thunder that'd cover everything. I forget, does the revived Thunder also cover USAC's series and dirt and so on or...? SRX is doing great year on year. Nicole Brisccoe seems to be invested in the series, this feels like it would have been at home on the 90s ESPN with Jenks an Despain and slotted in between the USAC series, Tony has something great with this

@@MrChristopherHaas I’ll agree. KZread stars got rides and talented drivers don’t! Back in the late 90s and early 2000s you had field fillers that could take the same equipment some of these kids have today and win races! Deegan, Natalie decker and a few more are a waste of seat time anymore and their are far better female drivers out there. Danica although she wasn’t very successful could run circles around the women drivers today in my opinion and so could Cobb.

Well cobb really didn't win any stock car races in the bigger more competitive series around the country and a complete zero in any kind of races held with nascar as the sanctioning body

I absolutely love to see Clint Bowyer race again oh, this is going to be a great season. I'm behind the mark a little bit but can't wait to catch up

The whole point of this was to not have current nascar drivers and the home track had a top series champion compete with the star field.

Everyone talks about how the Andretti family Is from Indicar. but Mario drove in Nascar and is a Daytona 500 Champion. as well as John being Primarily in NASCAR for the 43 for a long time.

I was there it rained and stormed so bad the wind almost blew me away my camper was the farthest spot ever I almost got struck by lightning and then at the end of the night people were lighting fireworks in the parking lot during a storm

Thank you for this, NASCAR needs to follow their model. I love that we know the race is Thursday night on ESPN, NASCAR makes you search for time and channel

She seems to get swallowed at every single restart no matter the class. What's so hard about being inches from the car in front of you when the green flag is dropped?

Deegan is probably thinking what new toy am I gonna buy and what kind of video I'm gonna do next. Really had high hopes, just seems she's not 100% into driving and getting better. More shop time and less social media.

With the titanic amount of pressure and every Camera aimed right at her every move I can see why a Veteran like Simone Biles cracked under that type of scrutiny, criticism and Fan attention at every waking moment. Look at all the others who have failed at the media attack of popularity. It looks to me like She has found a very effective way to cope and combat that with her own Social Media in which she controls. It's effective for two reasons that are clear. She can answer to her recent race and she shows how grounded and Family orientated she is and includes friend as well. It's also one of the most popular channels on KZread.

ESPN should be ashamed That was in my opinion one of the poorest announcers of the race They didn't say anything. About the race unless you front four. I was impressed with Degan after all the Bullshit she has been thru to finish 5th Well done

Paul Tracy is the worst driver I've ever seen

Am I missing something here? An entire field of past and present? drivers, each with hundreds of hours of experience and yet there is one “also ran” that doesn’t deserve to compete with these legends of Motorsports. The PC is glaringly obvious and turns me away from this series. Another complaint is car recognition, can’t tell who is who over the advertisement! As a child my family attended races at Stafford and other east coast tracks on a weekly basis when we weren’t suffering our dads chicken and beer farts at the drive-in! The old Ford station wagon gave us plenty of distance to escape the violent femmes and an opportunity to peek at the r-rated movie playing on the opposite screen before mom busted us and made us concentrate on “MASH”, the murdering of thousands of Americans for NO reason!!! Our local track? was Thompson but later in life I attended many Thursday night thunder events in the heart of the great state of Indiana, Winchester and IRP come to mind! Bring that content back and I will subscribe, not subscribing to politically correct content involving twelve cars, eleven belong!

Fixed race. Newman would have had him in 2 laps. They cut it short for Denny. Sucks.
