People seem to put out false information online about situations that they have no idea what their talking about. Altima is in top 10 of midsize cars….has been around more than 25 years….only reason why those people are having CVT issues is because they don’t do proper maintenance on the transmission treating it like an automatic. Altima is a great car….Jason don’t make unreliable cars!!! I have 2022 midnight edition (with the fog lights) excellent car! No issues at all! Don’t listen to people who say CVT issues….Altimas are all over the road for a reason….new and old!

I am a full time 'RIDE-SHARE' and am currently driving my 2016 Altima SL that I purchased brand new for work and it currently has 406,492 miles on it. Mt new car is going to be another Altima but I can't decide to go with a SL or SR. I love the colors that are available with the SR but I know it has "sport suspension" and I am tryin to see from you if the "sport suspension" on the SR would be different from the SL. I drive 10-12 hours a day Im cruise if it would beat up my back from being so hard or is there not really that much of a differencein the suspension and ride quality? Thanks so much and keep up the amazing videos!

Don't get too happy. Nissan CVTs are suspect on reliability. It will strand you. Hey Nissan do us a solid and put in the 9 speed transmission you put in the Pathfinder. CVTs suck anyway, on top of that unreliable. Nissan's especially. A great car needing a transmission to match.

@@odnamorvr3053 Nissan Altima Sport Rally (SR) with paddle shifter, AWD. Nissan is adding all the “sporty” elements to this “economic car”, You don’t even have to drive hard, the CVT will fail on you. I have a 2017 pathfinder, babied it since I bought it, did CVT fluid servicing, and etc, the CVT oil pan already started leaking..hummm… not having much faith in Nissan anymore.

The bad cvt transmissions questionable many isuuses with the cvt price tag on this vehicle should be 25,000. I am not impressed at all he said turbo no thanks on a cvt transmission

Never thought this guy gave a good review; mostly an opinionated personal ideas of what he liked. But saying an Altima with a CVT (which appears to turn him on) is going to replace a subaru. For what, 0-60, maybe. Off road...not close. First it is a JATCO CVT; noted throughout the entire internet and in real life by Nissan owners to be a complete POS, while Subaru CVTs are pretty darn good. Then the sticking out exhaust pipes...really. Ever take this Nissan hunk down the roads Subaru owners take their Subarus will have those nice round pieces bend to crap in no time. But it proves again, he has no idea of what he is supposed to be reviewing even if he is not actually reviewing but offering his opinion. (Do a search for Nissan CVT problems or JATCO.) And to be fair, most of the people giving "reviews" of vehicles on youtube are just offering their opinions more than just a review. A review is a factual representation of the vehicle.
