Day 2 of Mississippi Region’s August Autocross event at Columbus Air Force Base.
It was a small event but with good competition near the top. Taylor George and Ed Fisher keeping the pressure on, both alternating podium positions.
I was able to get some last minute testing in before Solo Nationals and although the surface is concrete, it’s got much different dynamic grip than Lincoln Airport. Hopefully the car is ready.
There were about a hundred T-6 (?) airplane touch downs occurring all day about a 1/4 mile from the edge of our course. We had a front row seat. Perks of racing at an Air Force base.
