I’ve had the last 4 sls. This one is perfect for my needs. You guys are dead wrong. It’s a really nice ride for some customers. It’s great that there are choices.

You can open the roof with the button. Press it twice and hold the button then the roof opens or closes.

It will out accelerate a 470HP Lexus LC500 with a V8. I have no problem with a 4 cylinder or 5 cylinder engine if it gets the job done and you can buy one new for less than 120K. Also there is a physical button below the screen to lower and raise the top. Plus I would want auto start/stop disabled automatically if I were driving aggressively.

It is great that it comes with a 4 cylinder. But the 55 should have been a 53 so they will be one for everyone 4,6 and 8 cylinders. It is the first time in 50 years that there is not any 6 cylinder in a SL.

In our opinion the base model should come with their great Turbo 6-Cylinder at this price point. And as you said, Mixing in the 4.6L may have helped the lineup as well. With that motor & if we didn't have all the ongoing issues, it may have been worth a look. Really a bummer what they did to the SL this year, it's a legendary nameplate.

For that price I can get a middle of the line F-250, a bass boat and trailer, and a used lotus for the price of that car 😂

Have you driven one? Sadly, it just isn't a good total package. sad, but true
