From what I've heard, a lot of the Europeans at Le Mans loved the ZL1 because of how loud it was. It was a great change of pace from the standard supercar sounds traditionally heard at Le Mans.

After their restructuring in 2008 they've genuinely committed to improving. Both in motorsport and consumer vehicles.

5th and 6th gen Camaros have a genuinely excellent chassis under the fancy bodywork, and the ZL1 1LE model is arguably the most potent track car you can find at its price point.

They need the full team of V8 Super car commentary guys, they always get excited over everything makes it fun. 1 just feels lonesome.

limited at 8000rpm just to keep the engine alive for 24 hours. same engine as the oval racer just unrestricted for more hp (500/570 for the oval racer vs 750ish for the le mans)

Not taking anything away GM and from the Hendrixs guys, but that was a heavily modified Nascar. Without the modifications, I do not believe that they would be putting it on the WEC cars on a road course

It was design to race on Nascar not le mans, it serves a different purposed and needs to be moded for lemans it is a HUGE work and effort from them and I can tell you to finish 9th place this was hell of amazing of an achievement

Literally double the downforce of a standard Cup car, 500 pounds lighter, paddle shifters, half an inch wider tires in the front and 1.5 wider in the back, all of the electronic aids the other cars have, and roughly 750 horsepower. Remarkably, most of its advantage wasn't top speed, but pure acceleration; the massive dive planes and rear spoiler generate a huge amount of drag compared to a GTE car.
