Base models is not my thing. But this is a great buy! Standard wireless Carplay and Android Auto is unheard of for its class. Not grant it, the bigger screens don't have it. But there is an aftermarket dongle to resolve that issue.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this channel. 🤝

The LX does have wireless Apple and Android Auto. It's the EX and SX prestige that don't. Seems backward that the base model is the only one that offers wireless.

@@micahferguson5059 strangely enough, the large infotainment screen does not have wireless, yet the smaller, base level screen does. Backwards I know.

​@@danwake4431 It's an software issue on the bigger screen. Hyundai/Kia want to use their factory embedded GPS. They don't want a 3rd party to control their GPS network, like Google maps.

This car is really surprising for an LX trim, the only thing that i kinda hate that is not a push to start on 2023

I know right? Push to start should really be a standard feature from now on even on base models. For what you do get though, it’s a pretty good buy.

you can push this and your 360 camera comes on. I don't recall trying it at higher speeds ( i believe it is speed limited), but i use it a lot in parking lots.

Our 17 Sportage has the 'locking diff' button but in reality, from all my research, its actually just a 'start in 2nd gear' mode. It doesnt lock the differential at all. Not sure how kia gets away with saying it does.

I thought hybrids only come in EX and SX class?

Supposed to be a great vehicle but some reviewers are reporting that the max milage they are getting is 31 mpg. I would be really upset that I paid extra bucks for a hybrid and didn't get the promised milage. Also, you need to be careful with Kia. I purchased a new Soul in 2020. I had to take it in a few months after purchase to have my transmission reprogrammed due to a recall. My milage dropped from 28 mpg down to 20 mpg and it will never get back to what the sticker showed when I bought it. I apparently have no recourse. I'm waiting for the Honda Civic Hybrid to get to the U.S. in 2024 and I'm probably making the switch then if EVs are still so expensive at that point.

I heard putting it in Smart mode gets better MPG than in Eco Mode.

@@CJ-fh5xq I just got mine this weekend. Definitely SMART mode gets me the most MPG. I drive 6 miles on city and 11 miles on highway. Smart has gotten me 42-45mpg, ECO 35-38MPG..

Oh why oh why is it turn key and not push button start >.< it's 2023 for christ sake

but how easy is it for someone to mistake it for one of the models that's easy to steal? When you live in a city where 10% of Kias has been stolen, I'm not sure the clowns doing the thefts will pay close attention to what model year these are. Otherwise it looks like a great car.

My number one concern.. how on earth are they still using a key. I want this car but having had my Kia stolen twice in the last couple months I cant do a key-based ignition.

What has Kia/Hyundai done to address the epidemic theft of their vehicles? It is child's play to smash a window, rip the steering column apart, and drive away.

Why does it have all that tech but still has keys????

All that gross piano black surface all around the console/shifter...just look at all the fingerprints, horrible.
