4 dots = H on the Morse Code. (My father used to be a ship 🚢 🆘 radio operator) 17:33
4 dots is morse code for letter H.. for Hyundai. Got mine 9 months ago here in US and I love it! This car is so much more comfortable and a level above where my 2020 Tesla Model 3 was.
I have this car since April last year and loved every minute driving it. Sana mapabilis ang EV adoption sa Pinas.
Good thing Hyundai is selling this absolute gem here in the Philippines
Man I like the review, I like the host, I like the videography, I like the edits. You guys are hitting all the right spots on your target audiences~
The only thing that's missing is a decent EV charging infrastructure. One fast charging station per municipality would be enough for the EV industry in our country to boom (and to eliminate range anxiety).

Im not sure how decent is the standard, but if you google ev charging stations, it will give you quite a long list from north to south and even some outside metro manila.

@@whitecloakandhalo The infrastructure that I'm referring to is for the whole Philippines. My mother's ancestral hometown is in Leyte and I know for a fact that there are no EV charging stations in their area. Since I would like to travel from Pampanga to Leyte without worries, I want a decent EV infrastructure for the whole country. This is what I got after a quick search (the list is as of Jan 30, 2023): SM Aura, B1 Parking SM City BF Parañaque SM City Bicutan SM City Fairview SM City Grand Central SM City Manila SM City Marikina SM City San Lazaro SM City Sta. Mesa SM City Valenzuela SM Mall of Asia, 3rd Level North Parking Building SM Megamall SM North EDSA, 3rd Level North Parking Tower SM Southmall The Podium Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower Two Ayala Malls Vertis North Circuit Makati Seda Hotel BGC Greenbelt Glorietta Alabang Town Center Trinoma Unioil EDSA Guadalupe Unioil Congressional Avenue Fairmont Makati Robinsons Galleria SM City Baguio Solaris One Baguio Technohub Solenad, Nuvali (Laguna) Laguna Technopark Vermosa (Cavite) Unioil Subic (soon to open) ACEA Subic Shell Recharged Mamplasan, SLEX Northbound This, in my opinion, isn't a long list. Are those stations enough take to me from Pampanga to Leyte (around 1020km) without stopping for a long time due to charging with the mobile charger?
4 dots is H in Morse code.

Finally found an answer to my question lol
Even as an EV skeptic, I think this car looks really good. The best looking out there imo.

Yeah. I like its design better than Tesla's which is too futuristic looking and super-minimalist. M-Benz EQS's design is the best in the luxury EV category for me though.

I am only EV skeptic because initial cost and maintenance in the next 4 years is higher than my newly built 160 sq.m floor area bungalow house

True that. Cars like these that give out such charisma make me want the government to speed up development of the EV infrastructure.

As an 80's kid and a Back to the Future fan, you gotta have it. It really is like a Delorean: it gives one both nostalgic and futuristic feelings. However not having any charging stations in the Philippines may be a problem.

Theres some charging stations in SM, BGC, Shell, Unioil, and Meralco.

Finally!!!! I had been waiting for this forst impression. Now, I am excited for the behind the wheel. That achooo moment caught me off gurad!! 😂😂😂
this is definitely definitely better than the other channel LOL! keep it up!
Looks like something that came out of Back to the Future! (In a good way!) also that NWJNS playing 💖🤣 The time I've seen and rode an IONIQ was in SG, totally blew me away!
This car is BEAUTIFUL! And Caco definitely went to Starbucks before this review. He's pretty perked up. 😅 The raised instrument-infotainment panel fits this car perfectly as it is maximized with those screens' real estate. With the Stargazer though, it looks like a nuisance and can get to your OCD. Anyways, what a car! With all the tech, a sliding center console (first time I've seen this honestly), and a 9-seater (as demoed by Caco himself 😅), I think it's worth the price. Great review, Autodeal! Cheers!
saw this personal along Eastwood to ortigas. the video doesn't do justice mapapalingon ka talaga
I have a car like this. The only thing I'm worried diyan sa Pinas is yung baha (flood) na galing dagat or from storm surge. Normal na rain water na baha ay OK lang. Check out what happened in Florida after the typhoon, mga EV's bigla nalang nagliliyab O nasusunog. Maybe has something to do with salt water and the battery when come in contact.
I love watching reviews of cars I’m sure I can’t buy. Haha! Anyway, nice review Sir Caco. As always.
Cacao, the best car reviewer in the Philippines bar none!
please review the standard range. does it have safety features/adaptive cruise control?
You guys are so entertaining 😆
Just fyi, check your local versions for included features. In Indonesia, for example, the center island does not move. There's also no AR HUD and some navigation features.
Been waiting for this!
Hyundai should pay you for making the most entertaining review in KZread.
Placement of the AC vents for the rear passenger are the same for Santa Fe 2-2.5 generation (2009-2011).
Will the 160mm ground clearance be an issue on road humps? I.E. humps that are quite high? Added info, I'm a bit overweight.
Is the price gonna remain the same? Zero tarrif for EV's just recently got signed by Malacañang
Very enthusiastic review. Ang laki pala Ng car or maliit lang talaga the host
That Sneeze was contagious, did one right you guys did.
Achoo time. We need more of those! 🤣
7:55 you forgot to fold the rear seats. you also forgot to mention about V2L feature, like you can you power your house with this car during a power failure.
Yes, it looks futuristic. Like a Supercar Blondie feature. Great EV review.
Aha! Jack saying "oh my god" referencing the song displayed in the infotainment system! I see what you did there😂
Is the range of the standard range variant enough for metro manila traffic?
daaaang! hope they could bring the grandeur in the Phil! please give us a behind the wheel review please!

Hyundai won't sell a sedan priced like a BMW or Mercedes Benz anymore

Grandeur is great, it's Hyundai's flagship sedan (outside of Genesis) but the market here in PH gravitates towards crossovers/SUVs so I don't think Hyundai will make one for you.
i LOVE the car and the song choices !!!
Ever since I saw this from Song Hye Kyo's series "Now we are breaking up", my thought was I have to have this!!
Ang eyecatching talaga ng sasakyan na to. Lagi kong napapansin pag pinapanood ko yung Crash Course in Romance.
So can you go to Welcome Rotonda Manila/QC to Balay Dako Tagaytay back to Welcome Rotonda (will all the traffic) in 1 charge?
Oh damn i thought its small! Thanks caco!!!
It looks damn pretty. it reminds me of Back to the Future
Jack you forgot to mention the rear seats are adjustable and the magnetic pad on the instrument cluster
80's Vibes all over! Nice...
I think it is more slick if you remove the hyundai logos on the front and back. or they just replace those logos with 4 square dots to be consitent.
retro-futuristic is a great description
Entertaining, regardless of car brand and segment. Caco can really sell anything. Folks would've stopped watching after the two-minute mark where the price reveal happened but he just makes everything interesting enough for us average Juans to stick around. Hyundai better take notice, this guy might've just convinced a bunch of whales to drop the bag on this.
New jeans & Svt playing inside a korean-made car, nice touch!
Just to add, the ENTIRE back seat can also slide back and forth..for the european version, the side mirrors are replaced with cameras that activates once you flip the signal light..the screen then displays what you wpuld normally see in the side mirrors..
@Seitenwerk
Жыл бұрын
That’s not fully correct. The European version has an option to go for the Digital Side Mirrors instead of regular mirrors. But the behavior you described is standard in both versions and actually uses the cameras pointing down on the side mirrors or digital side mirrors.
Nice! Support Electric Vehicle! Mtagal na my EV sa iba bansa. Kaya like it or not papunta tayo sa future tech 👌 In fairness this looks nice at probably hyundai referred to delorean.
Is this locally sold in the Philippines or imported?
this and the EV6 are the newer taxis in Korea. I wonder what the incentives are.
The center light divider is the only think i am not a fan of. Imagine if it was whole or they divided it to 3 instead. Imagine adding letter stickers on the middle.
Very nice EV review! More EVs to come please! (excited sa NISSAN ARIYA here)

Matagal pa makarating dito ang Ariya, they designed it for developed markets. Developing ones like ours won't probably get one.
I saw this car just today and I’m like what car is this!? Such a head turner. Went to the back and found out it’s an ioniq
Hoping for kind of EV that can endure all kinds of roads in PH. Good job Hyundai!

Hoping for a kind of EV that's actually affordable for a lot of people.
My boss got one of the first 10 units in Ph.. awesome!
After watching this, makes me almost wanna buy one😁
The design is like a futuristic car seen in the movies in the 80s and 90s
Caco is also listening to omg - new jeans 😂 17:08
nice review but cant find here in cebu...
You forgot to mention the magnetic part on the left part of the dashboard.
Yes Caco, the 4 dots represent the "H" logo. H in morse code is " . . . . " pretty clever.
it is nice to see EVs are now coming here and not just from the grey market. hopefully its price will normalize by 2025.
13:25 DAMN THAT'S AN 8 SEATER
Reminds me of the Back of the Future 1981 car: the DMC DeLorean!
San ka naman makaka kuha ng DC fast charging para dyan dito sa pinas?
Can't wait for the Kia EV6 now!
Can you do a review of the BYD DOLPHIN? That is a more affordable EV for the masses
Grabe ganda!!!
It seems like the four dots that engraved on the car represents the letter "H" in Mores code, witch I think the other way for Hyundai to brand their car.
Would EV charging better than gas when it comes to costs?
Caco is the BEST! 👏👏👏❤️
It’s what people in the 80s or 70s imagined what cars would look like in the future.

Basically copying what the reviewer said 🙄
wow sa wakas,
The party trick of this Car is the V2L(vehicle to load) where it can technically charge another EV incase of emergency the best part is you can Use this too to power some appliances in the house like Fridge, oven microwave and some lights during Blackout in the Philippines 😁
Sana you can include the cost of ownership for this vehicle on your next video
where is the charging network?
Can you play Nokia Snake sa tai lights? That'd be cool if you could!
Beautiful 😍😍😍
Welcome Hyundai Ionic5 🎉❤

How heavy is it. Heard ev so heavy that it consume tires. Maybe the batteries
Sir Caco, pa review nmn po next BYD Dolphin pls... waiting here, more power to your channel sir 👍
can you do comparo ioniq 5 and weltmeister w5
Yung design nya, it reminds me of our Sony stereo set in the 90s. Hindi ko alam kung bakit 😅
I think residential condominiums should start retrofitting their basement parking with wall/floor electricity sockets as EVs in the Philippines are starting to popup 😍 What a time to be alive!
A futuristic designs build with quality for eyes beauty
Damnnnn! Solid 🔥
Nice one
zero tariff na ba yung pricing neto?
Guys you have an idea when will they launch the hyundai ioniq 7
I am only going to consider a pure EV if it can travel 380kms to my province on a single charge. I guess the extended range can but then again theres that steep asking price.
Why isn't that on their website?
The four "pixels" in the steering wheel is translated as morse code. Four dots means "H". H for Hyundai.
One of my EV dream car....the other one is the name starts with T ;) Great review.... now I want to own 1.....how and when?! hahahahah
How tall are you Sir?
Such a delight to watch 😜
@ 13:00 minute area, the center console is like the 2004 Lexus RX 330 😅
Finally a full electric in the PH! Lesgoo

Design cues appear to be inspired by the DeLorean DMC-12
jaw dropping looks and features but for that price it is not the car for me. Btw really funny and informative review from Caco
