I absolutely love my 2023 HRV AWD LX trim. Great, beautiful car for the price. Even the basic LX trim still feels luxurious and still provides all the really necessary extra features of the higher trims. Handles and rides beautifully, and I really appreciate the ease of getting in and out of the car. This has been a huge complaint for me with all the newer vehicles. I either fall into the low ones, having to use a crane to lift myself back out, or I have to hoist myself up into the high up ones, and use a parachute to bail out. This HRV has the perfect sensible height for access and egress.

This seems to have a better awd system than the crv.. just bought a 2023 hrv sport yesterday. It’s rare to have a vehicle that still has a port injection and is naturally aspirated nowadays. I found the cvt transmission surprisingly smooth as butter..

Love that you tested it in a blizzard, honestly it's really cool!

I just got the 2024 Honda HRV Ex l Navi in urban gray pearl a month ago, love the look of the exterior and the look and the leather of the interior, love the smooth ride and all the features that the car has.👌❤️

I will be getting the 2024 in two weeks. When looking for a car in the $30,000 price range this one I kept going black to. I like the interior as it doesn’t look cheap.

I use only Nokian on my Ridgeline trucks, RDX, MDX, Civic cars, 2020 2.0T Accord, 2023 Integra, past ODYSSEY and 2009 Ridgeline and other vehicles and love them. I may get this new hrv for my daughter and Nokian for winter.

Awesome vehicles, i recommend Nokian tires and have no issues for 15 years on all our Honda/Acura products including Civics, ODYSSEY, Ridgeline, Accord 2.0T, rdx, mdx, etc

Rear fog lights would come in handy here

It really is a bummer that the magic seat is gone. I am shopping now and lack of magic seat for the 2023 HRV is a deal breaker and takes it off my list. With the loss of the awesome Element for dog owners the magic seat HRV was at least passable for dog owners. Still lamenting the loss of the Honda Element which was the perfect vehicle for those of us dog owners and people that find functionality to be most imp.

I got a HRV Sport last week. Love it. Way better on gas consumption than my 2011 CRV..

He mentioned about the idle stop start feature. I thought this car doesnt have that thing?

Really appreciated the comparisons new vs previous and to Subaru. Is that a heated front "windshield" or rear window? Last headed windshield I saw was on a Land Rover Defender$$$.

Great feedback -- the heated rear defroster is on the central climate control system in the middle of the dash. The button in that video is for the heated windshield, I believe additional heating elements for the wiper area not the actual entire windscreen itself 👌

Nice looking set of wheels. Definitely looks bigger than the outgoing model. A few more ponies certainly would be welcome. That back seat looks like it could be challenging. Can’t wait to show my kiwi mates what a whiteout looks like. Nice work Justin,yet again.

@@richardguse3410 it's super handy, especially with the wet blade wipers. Would actually sway my decision this way given how much winter driving I do. With some Rain-x fluid in the tank, visibility is fantastic, easy cleaning in a second or two with no ice buildup!

Can you do snow test between HRV and Corolla Cross please?

So I have an HRV versus Corolla Cross video in the works, although we weren't able to shoot the Corolla cross in the snow. You should test drive both for yourself, personally having driven Toyotas all-wheel drive hybrid in the snow in many other applications, I could safely say my preference would be for the more conventional Honda AWD system as a driving enthusiast, though both will get you where you need to go.

You'd find it adequate I'd imagine, but not much more than that. In the extreme winter weather where I live, I think I'd be having a better time in the HRV too. The Corolla cross system is easy on fuel but fairly limited power to rear axle. Enough to prevent getting stuck tho. Good luck!!

So I haven't driven the cx-30 but I know I need to soon. Between the Crosstrek and HRV it's a pretty tough call. I think I smell a comparison test coming up

Torque is way too low.

I just bought a brand new 2023 Honda HR-V with it's most desirable upscale trim package: The Mazda CX-30 Turbo option. It's almost as if Honda is trying to make it's pods extra fugly.

It is an AWFUL vehicle. The worst vehicle I've possibly ever driven. The seats are made of stone, the steering over OVERLY heavy, and the suspension is jarringly firm. You will feel the car crash over every imperfection in the road.
