Downtown San Diego to Julian ca Road Trip : 44 mpg going up to 2674' and then 88 mpg going downhill to ocean level. Rode like butter around the heavy country road curves. 122 miles total. I'm getting on the average 45 mpg city as well. I'm loving my brand new Honda Accord Hybrid Sport!

Just drove my mom’s 2023 Accord Hybrid. I was really impressed. The extra torque from this setup is amazing. I own a 21 Toyota Prius and you really have to give it the beans to move briskly with other lead footed drivers. Not a problem in the Accord.

How is the ride quality with the 19" wheels? And seat comfort?

The 63 degrees outside temp I see on your display is the sweet spot for batteries. If you live in a colder climate or like me, in Texas, hotter, you will average much less... I have a G10 Accord hybrid on smaller wheels (17" stock) and never get the stated mileage. It's good but not near the advertised numbers. At 70mph on highway it gets less than 40mpg. Overall average is 35 mpg and I drive slow..

Dang…I feel like I got cheated by EPA. I was hoping for 50 MPG in a consistent basis…with the exception of cold weather.

I just tea drove one of these and I’m shocked that at 6’1 I can sit comfy behind myself…. That car is roomy. The mpg is even more of a selling point

Accord is best...I have 2022 hybrid... getting 42 to 43 mpg all the time

What's your typical drive? City mixed hwy? Typical cruise speed?

You didn’t have hi regeneration turned on. That helps the mpg even more, especially in stop and go traffic on the freeway.

If I got the Accord Hybrid, I'd spring for the EX-L because I don't like big wheels with low profile tires.

Great video! do you have any test with speed set to 75 to 80 mph? that is truely real world @ Texas.

My mpg on this car averages around 35mpg at 75-80 it’s doesn’t go ev at higher speeds which kinda blows

My total average is like 36. I drive eco mode too :/ but I don’t have patience to accelarate fully ev. My ev usually stops once i speed up to 15mph

My Hybrid sport was 36-37 mpg while taking out of the dealership (4 miles). Within a month it was 44.4 mpg but never got more than that. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you’re getting pretty good mileage. Reset the trip computer and start clean if you haven’t done that already

Are you using the highest regen setting?

I have 2023 hybrid and city mpg is great! but wow wow.... highway MPG is actually worst than non hybrid. when I run 80 miles or more MPG goes to 24 or even under than that...... and since mostly using Gas on this high speed situation, 12Gallon tank Shiprnks Super FAST.....shame how they made 1.5L turbo...should stayed at 2.0L turbo hybrid. I love the car but engine.................! God damn it stupid Honda... I still love the design...but missing too much power and bad MPG on high speed.

Was this a Sport or an LX?

@@CarDietrich I know it's not a plug-in hybrid and that's not the question I asked. I asked how many miles the car can travel in EV ONLY (battery) mode. Is that somehow a difficult question for you?

29 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 32 mpg combined per the EPA, but I have not done real world testing on that model.

How come the new hybrid accord get less MPG rating versus the previous hybrid accord generation? 16-17’ Accord for example get 48-47 all around. Now it just less for unknown reason.

I regularly get 44mpg on my non-hybrid 2020 sonata on the highway. Additionally, because it has a 16 gallon tank, I can get around 700 miles per tank. For someone who drives mostly highway, I can’t justify an accord hybrid. I have seen some people get 60+ highway on a Corolla hybrid, but that’s also a much smaller and lighter car.

As a “honda guy” myself, I’d trust a Toyota hybrid more and wouldn’t dare mess with a honda HEV.

Honda Accord Hybrid Sport. I'm getting 45 mpg in the city. Much more spacious room than a Prius or Corolla btw. My family couldn't fit comfortably in any sedan/hatchback hybrid Toyotas.

Hybrids win in city driving, cause you wont get 44mpg in NY city traffic with the non-hybrid Sonata. They also use motor for braking (can go 100k miles same pads) and less wear on engine from stop/go traffic.

So wait. This Honda Accord got better gas mileage than the Toyota Camry? Toyota Camry is rated by EPA significantly higher..

The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved.

Heated steering wheel is a dealer add on. If you have an XM subscription, put their app on your phone and you can listen through your connected device.

XM Radio sounds like garbage. The quality bitrate is like half of what normal sounds like.
