Just ordered a DRO for my old Jet-16 (same as yours?). Look forward to your very timely install video. Enjoy watching your vids… especially the work on old KZ’s! Keep it going!

I just tore down the table, saddle and stoned and polished the ways, got all the crud out. Was going to film but ended up not having the time. Reason I did it now is that I ordered the DRO and will be here around the 29th. I’ll film what I can. Cheers.

12.22.23. One good thing that you do is that you video your jobs or most of your jobs, that way you could always show your customer if they get pissy with you to try to blame you because of a problem, you can show them that it was pre-existing. And yes, sometimes a gut instinct should be heeded⚠️

I don't get much "pissyness" truth be told, if any. However, in regards to documentation, what you don't see on my vids, especially on really nice (expensive) paint and bodywork, I take photos and make notes of any preexisting damage. I have a preexisting damage form (template) that when I need it, I print one out and do a walk-around, taking said pics and noting the conditions on the form. Way back in the day, I worked for Circuit City roadshop doing the car stereo and security installations (part-time job) and they had a thorough vehicle intake form, from which the idea came to develop my own. Again, I rarely have to use it, but sometimes, I do fill one out and attach it to the finished ticket.

"Knackered" is as British as "Zed". You must've wrestled with some Brit-Bikes in your youth.

Not so much, I just watch too much Snowball Engineering vids. lol. I kinda threw that in as a response to myself to the Zed commentary, just to see what came of it..
