And i have nothing but respect for the American 🇺🇸 “Blue Angels” 🤙 & every time i hear the name “Thunderbirds” i can’t help but chuckle because for a certain age group there use to be this 1960’s & 1970’s TV show called “THUNDERBIRDS” which was a kids tv program but not cartoons but “puppets” on strings which is super hard to do plus all the detail that went into each puppet & all the scenery back ground etc that went into creating that kids tv program & the famous saying for the start of the show… “THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO”!!! LOL!! I don’t think i’ve ever seen the real “Thunderbirds” though in which i’ll check out after this magical masterpiece of aviation greatness & to my American🇺🇸 friends please check out the Canadian “Snowbirds” 🤙

These people work and train harder than us mortals can imagine. Our country is blessed to have these truly devoted Aviators.

They are phenomenal. Such precision & great maneuvers! I hope they always remain safe!

Being a female Navy Corpsman, I loved seeing Lt. Amanda flying. It was an awesome show!!!!

Proud of you too. I was a C141 mechanic for USAF 1979 to 84… also trained to fly on Cessna 150. Ladies flew in WWll also. My cousin is retired pilot from United Airlines. She began around 1980.

@saedrix9807 calm down white Knight. We live in the time of gender and representation quota. There are thousands of Navy F18 pilots. More men than women. So in terms of probability she already loses out. She may be truly good, but probability states that there is a high likelihood of other men being on par or better than her. It is simple math. Doesn't help her case much with the woke era we live in. Bring this back 20 years ago, I'd agree that it was purely based on her skills. Now, nah! Facts hurt, so just take a seat.

GO NAVY! I love how the Navy was the very first service group to allow females to fly fighter jets! My Uncle was a Pearl Harbor Survivor on an ammunition ship, my father was a former US Naval officer and scientist. Dad helped to build the very first Atomic reactors for submarines Admiral Rickover's program/ Westinghouse Corporation, and I was a US Navy Nurse Corps scholarship student in college! 🥰🤗🥰⚓⛵⚓

Huge congratulations to Amanda Lee! You go girl! Gotta admit though I'm team T-Birds. My dad was a Thunderbird for 4 years. So proud of these amazing pilots from the Air Force and Navy. You are all truly the best of the best! ❤

I smiled the whole time at the end. To me these guys and gals are a true inspiration and they are the real hero’s and deserve much more recognition than the Hollywood celebs.

@@dawnteed4469You are both partially correct. You can hear Amanda reply that she is the first female F/A-18 demo pilot in the Blue Angels, Katie flew the C-130 named Fat Albert for the Blue Angels.

And far better pilots were overlooked because of this.

When seeing their show in person, my favorite moment is when you have lost track of two planes usually flying separate from the formation of four - and one suddenly roars over your head from behind low and perpendicular to the flight line. Obviously, they have permission to fly over the crowd that others don't have. It is quite a visceral feeling, and you can't really experience it watching a video.

Yes a number of years back when they had several crashes. That hurt , the crashs that happened. They kept at it and cleared up the problems. Sure is fine to see them performing.

I first saw them in 1967 when they were still flying F11F Tigers, I was nine…and I’ve since seen them in action every chance I get…countless times now, but always a thrill and always memorable! Thanks for posting.

I just saw a video of Blue Angels & Thunderbirds as a team. They were great together as much as they act or seem like rivals .

Just outstanding! I've seen the Blue Angels every time they've come here to Offutt AFB. Breathtaking. I get goosebumps and teary eyed just watching. God Bless all of them and keep them safe!

Very happy to be alive to see Amanda in #3! First saw the Blue's in person in 1972 at Willow Run and that show made me decide to have an Aviation Career. Retired at Willow Run in 2015 when we hosted the Blue's on my final year!!

First female tactical demonstration pilots. I believe that distinction needs to be noted, because women have had a long history of service with the team. But her achievement is noteworthy.

Very interesting to see two Thunderbirds riding along. Much more collaboration between the Blues and Thunderbirds these days. Good to see.

Thank you SpencerHughes! This is, without a doubt, the best video of the Blue Angels low show that I've EVER seen! Over the past 40 years of going to the shows, I've gotten some good photographs, some of which I even got paid real money for, but making good video has been a challenge. The best show I was ever at was the Reading, PA air show in the late 1980's, just a few years after they started using the F/A-18. I had to work on Saturday, but was lucky enough to be stuck in a traffic jam just off the end of the runway. While I was sitting there, all six planes did a formation pass at an elevation about 50 ft then all six planes with 12 afterburners pointed right at me pulled up in a Max climb. The thunderous roar of those powerful engines shook the ground and the cars, and sent chills up your spine. Even people sitting in their cars in the traffic jam gave them a round of applause!

I have always called the Blue Angels "AMERICAS ANGELS" ABSOLUTE BADASSERY

Wow! Nice to see super slick flying in beautiful a/c. We also were slick, flying taildraggers, taxiing in S turn formation; flying and landing in formation; shutting down together. Drinking our faces off in the Mess that night. "Once we were warriors!"

God bless the men and women that serve to protect America, you can just tell how proud they are to be doing what they do so well.

Really? Imagine your 18-year-old loved one has just enlisted in the Navy She calls to explain that she is confused because a person "with a penis" was in her locker room shower today. Your response, Darling we love you but, the new DoD Policy of Gender Equality permits people with a PENIS to be in the female locker room. GREAT CAMERA WORK!!

Looks like the blues are giving the Tbirds a ride along. Stationed in Pensacola in my first tour of duty at the Naval Hospital. I used to watch them practice their low-level maneuvers outside the 2nd floor snack bar.They were required to maintain a considerable distance from the hospital due to the jet wash being fairly noisy. Met several of the crew members. They gave me signed posters which I still have to this day. That was over 30 years ago. Saw them during a show from Pensacola beach. It's nerve racking to see just how close the wing tips and canopies are when they fly in formation while doing rolling loop.

Well, also the stunts when you think they will crash head on !! And when then the 5 & 6 sneak up on everyone from behind!!! I missed our air show this year.

I remember how unusual it was when I served on USS Lexington and USS Forrestal. A few female pilots. This is historic and me being a female, it's a great moment.

As a Brit I love the Red Arrows. BUT, the skill that the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds pilots have flying in such tight formations with these jets is amazing.
