Reallusion’s 2023 “Animation at Work” contest for Cartoon Animator (CTA) has come to a close after two months of intense creativity. 33 winners were selected from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of skills and experience; with some CTA newcomers combining software pipelines using newly acquired techniques. Entries ranged in style and topic while displaying Cartoon Animator's full potential for a wide array of applications.
As the contest ended, Reallusion was also pleased to announce the Cartoon Animator 5.2 update. This version introduces two major highlights: Motion Pilot and Motion Path Animation, a natural evolution of contemporary puppetry. Motion Pilot is the first significant feature, allowing users to animate characters and props instantaneously, significantly reducing production time. The other eagerly awaited feature is Motion Path Animation. This enhanced path editing tool is exceptionally practical for creating precise animations across various applications.

An amazing annual contest that gives all CTA users the opportunity to compete aginst not only others in the 2D community but also themslves, demonstrating how their animation skills improve each year with practice. Unable to use the process, I found that it is difficult to create 360-degree characters, because if a character or animal needs 360 movements and directions, multiple characters need to be created. I hope to launch a pinching tool that can automatically adjust the character's head, face shape, and body size. Generate different characters, similar to vroid

You are correct that at this point, to create a character that can turn 360 degrees, you would need to create each angle individually. The reason for this is that Cartoon Animator uses a puppet cut out system for character rigs.

@@GarryPye If you only need to create a character once and you can achieve 360 degrees, that would be a good solution.

Perhaps that will be an option in a future release of Cartoon Animator.
