What would be an alternative to the XC90 Recharge? PHEV Mercedes GLE , BMW X5? Curious to hear your thoughts!

I think probably the XC90 but the GLE a very close second, but then again how about the GV70 or the GV80?

The Volvo V90 Cross Country Ultimate would be my choice, but they don't have a recharge model, but I like the elegant look of the Cross Country, lower, sleeker vibe.

Its a good question, seeing as its a year away from EoL. Its amazing how the car has developed since its launch in 2016. I would still prefer the Volvo over the others, possibly the Range Rover could be an alternative.

Range Rover Sport PHEV. Maybe because Im a sucker for Land Rover and still miss my Disco4.

When the Chinese took over Volvo, I thought that would be the downfall of the company. I love the charm, safety and reliability of a Swedish car company. I have to admit they have been making some nice cars lately. Everyone should watch till the end very funny.

Best thing chinese did - they just invested money into a “modular chasis” and did not interfere in development or production.

I drive one of these. I had one previously as well that sacrificed its life to protect mine. I never would have even considered a Volvo but I was at the auto show and ended up sitting in one and found I really liked it. To the doubters I strongly suggest you go look at one. It's not a sports car but it is a very relaxing and peaceful driver.

Hi Anna, First thing first I don't know if you are doing another video before Christmas or New Year, so have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year and I hope 2023 brings you a success and a lot of happiness. The over thing is that you are definitely not revolting and you absolutely not fat at all. Please don't put yourself down. On to the video, Great review Anna. I was shocked again that Volvo had put a 2.0L engine in a massive SUV like that XC90 but boy it does sound like they made it work like a dream with the Hybrid motor. Outstanding performance numbers and yet getting really great MPG especially for how big the XC90 is. Brilliant and luxurious but simple design inside and out which is a Volvo thing and very practical with those 7 seats, great for a big family or taking a group of people somewhere. really love the idea that the XC90 lowers down to make easier access or help loading or unloading the boot. Well I didn't know that Volvo got taken over by Geely Holding Group. In my old job that I left recently we was making stuff for Volvo or Volvo Lorries, We was making stuff that help Volvo make parts or heat treating parts. Love the out takes. Well, all the best Anna and have a great one.

Another cracking review Anna. I love the concept of this car with the brilliant interior (not sure if the climate controls are touch operation only though) although the outside looks like it's been softened style wise maybe a tad much. I'm not a fan of the back view of the car so much though but it would not put me off considering a purchase if the circumstances fitted. Great work Anna as usual with faultless production and editing interrupted with the usual rostrum camera style stills. Many thanks for reminding me that I could really do with loosing a few KG but after the winter holidays. Have a good one.

I've got a XC90 T6 Momentum version with upgrades...I've very happy with it and for longer road trips, i's a great ride. I've hear good things about the T8.

Volvo do it very well. Three difficult choices if your in the market for this type of vehicle. Suppose it would boil down to badge preference in the end. Great informative review Anna.

Anna, I have a red XC60 with the blond interior and glass roof, tried a XC90, but preferred the 60, and a much lighter interior that the XC90 you tested needed. Bu, what a brilliant car the B4 is.

Never had a Volvo before but love my xc60 rdesign t5 ......love it thanks Anna

We have a new 2023. The most fantastic car we've ever owned. Makes our 2017 Mercedes look like a Ford. The plug in is perfect for my wife. I drive a tesla but it requires some degree of thought to keep it charged. This is a great alternative.

Good evening chubby! I have a friend with an XC60. It is a great car, the 90 looks like that awful German hearse you reviewed a week or two ago. As always informative and entertaining. Love the pussy cat! I should add I do enjoy the bloopers, it's good to see you have a laugh, life's too short not to laugh at yourself!

As a BMW M5 Comp owner, I realize I mostly watch these for legs and heels and her personality. Volvo's are fine I guess, but I vote no more jeans.

Anna as usual very good video you made about the Volvo XC90. Did you know that Volvo received an award from the UK in 2018, naming the XC90 as the world's safest car. Since no person who drove an XC90 from the first year it existed until 2018 and was involved in a car accident has died. PS! I think you have a wonderful laugh and are funny.
