I’ve always loved the exterior styling of the Tacoma. But the engine and interior are long overdue for a redesign .

Rubber bed mats purpose on these are to lessen/stop items from sliding around in the somewhat slick composite bed, not so much just for protection from dings or scratches

I just bought the 2022 Tacoma TDR off road, and there is no navigation system built in and I keep getting the runaround that there isn’t a factory navigation system that can be installed, and that I have to use CarPlay. Yet there is an entire section in the manual specifically targeted towards the onboard navigation system (which did not come pre-installed on my vehicle). Do you know anything about this or a possible glitch/fix so I can get a navigation system installed and not have to rely on apple carplay? I can’t seem to find an answer to this anywhere online, and the 10 customer service/dealers/service managers seem to be clueless as well 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Thanks in advance, if you have any suggestions!

I'd still make that thing launch all it takes is a big heavy boot and it'll be just fine.

I really want to get into a Tacoma, but I feel like some convenience features are a settle. Canyon/Colorado has more space and updated features that the tocoma lacks at a 50k price tag. Bummer but maybe they’ll update eventually :/

I want a Tacoma, but as someone who’s only 5’10”, I feel like I’m sitting on the floor with my knees to my chest while driving. The power also leaves a lot to be desired.

You would compare the f150 tremor to a tundra pro or off-road. Tacoma is a midsize truck. Full size always have more power but they can struggle on narrow trails. So ranger, Colorado, and frontier would be the competitors.

50k for that truck? Damn they want as much for that as a well equipped Bronco. But the TRD is always nice. They have been pretty good forever. I've driven one ince or teach but they were the older models and everyone says that trucks drive different than they used to, but I don't think so.

Tailgate is heavy? Maybe you need to work out. Secondly, the bed mat is needed. The composite alone means items in the truck box will slide around easily. The bed mat adds that bit of grip items require - and for the owners shoes/boots as well.

Cluster, buttons, interior in general looks old fashioned as hell. Was going to buy one but damn, does not look worth it honestly especially for a TRD

For being the top trim, and for the price, the interior is incredibly lacking. Pretty disappointing.

These trucks drive much better with 4.88 gears.

I had a 2019. Got rid of in in 8 months. That auto transmission sucks. Constantly shifts.

I had a deposit on this truck. Test drove it once it came in. I absolutely hated it. I’m 6’3 and it was very uncomfortable. I had high hopes for this truck as I’ve had tacos before and was currently in a tundra crewmax offroad. I ended up buying a Honda Ridgeline 2022 black edition. Hands down the RL surpasses the taco on all levels with the exception of off-roading which the taco does better than the RL. I don’t Offroad and only haul dirt bikes to and from races. The RL made driving fun again and won’t be buying Toyota any longer.

1st time I have heard the term "taco" used to describe Tacoma 🤣 I suppose you prefer burritos over tacos🍑🍌🌮🌯 🤣🤣 anyways... there's a video on KZread where the guy cut out a van and it looks exactly like a Ridgeline 🤣🤣🤣

My first thought was "awesome, a new TRD review" then @ 1:26- "and then you have the venting here in the center". Ummm, no. On to the next video.

Love tacomas but needs a interior update badly that steering wheel is just ugly
