Although it has blue-collar roots dating back more than a half-century the 2022 Range Rover's high-end interior and first-class curb appeal are designed to attract wealthy, white-collar buyers. While its transformation has been decades in the making, this leather-lined limo has reached a point where it's nearly six-figure starting price seems an appropriate ask. The cabin features upscale finishes such as leather, wood, and thickly-piled carpeting. And there’s plenty of tech too. Buyers can choose either a turbocharged inline-six or a thundering 523-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine, but all models come standard with off-road-capable features, such as an all-wheel-drive system, a rear-wheel steering system, and an air suspension that can be raised for extra ground clearance. Few Range Rover owners would dare to venture too far from paved roads, but knowing you could if you wanted to is, in fact, a luxury.
Like the outgoing generation Range Rover, the new model offers a plush interior decked out with rich leathers and woods, but buyers who want a more sustainable cabin can opt for a new leather-free option, which subs-in wool or other textiles. The interior can be arranged to seat four, five, or seven depending on configuration and wheelbase. An optional motorized divider for the cargo area helps keep things from moving around too much during travel, and the Range Rover's split rear liftgate can be used as convenient and comfortable seating for outdoor events.

While we wait to see what Toyota does with this new model on our shores, we can dive into the specs. It weighs a claimed 440 pounds less than its predecessor and uses two new engines: a gasoline twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 with 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque or a turbodiesel twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 with 304 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission and-naturally-four-wheel drive are standard across the board.
The new design doesn't look radically different from the current model, but the front end has a more prominent grille and a snazzier lighting setup, while the rear has new taillights and a reshaped tailgate. Inside, the cabin benefits from a significant upgrade with a large tablet-style infotainment screen and a cleaner dashboard layout. Three rows of seats will be available, and the third row appears to fold into the floor-a change from the current model, which requires you to flip and fold the wayback seats up towards the windows for more cargo capacity.

There is no comparison between these two cars. Land Rover was created to be soft, provide means of protection and safety, and be very comfortable. As for Land Cruiser, it is manufactured to withstand harsh and difficult conditions and cross all roads. It is also distinguished by its durability, solidity and the quality of its materials.

The Land Cruiser is an extremely reliable car, making it hybrid would definitely compromise it’s reliability. The Toyota is a real all-purpose vehicle, instead the others you mentioned are just show-off cars.

Always preferred Rover''s shape but if my life depended on a vehicle Cruiser is the one. Rover can challenge a Cruiser when both are new but as years pile on, the Cruiser will just go on n on while the Rover's at the mechanic's.

Thats more boring and in reliability of the model s not for offroad not for luxury not for reliability just plain boring just point a to point b and sometimes you even need to charge it on the road and it takes time unlike the land cruiser, lx 600, range rover they are petrol powered its faster getting gas than charging a car

The design of range never made mistake
Range is good but Landcruiser better. After using them you will realise that maintaining a land cruiser is so easy and doesn't need lots of specialised care. When u doing a long distance, it won't disappoint you like a range which incase of a small hitch will need to be lifted to a dealer to fix as you are left on road to look for other options. That is the main thing but on specs range is top.

Maybe the LC of old can be fixed anywhere, but the LC300 is tech heavy. I dont think it can be fixed on the roadside, but then according to some posts, it shouldn"t break down on the roadside either.

If the RR is your first choice, then add also the LC just in case. However, if you have more points to the LC, then you can settle with that and maybe rent the RR ocassionaly just for fun.
I don’t think Range Rover can jump like LC did on the off road LC just proved it, Range Rover looks stunning too

Land Rover on looks but I heard they break down a lot. Land Cruiser beautiful just not the same level still I’d be happy with either of them. No way I’m taking either across a rocky terrain. Highway only for this driver.

@@koyosu maybe you take agood care of your car, bc range rovers are really unreliable, i put 100 miles on my velar, and i was having issues, and it lost value when i sold, i enjoy long travels, and i'm actually moving to land cruiser or lexus.... it was really tuff watching my dream car losing his value...
