There comes a time when you got to know when to retire from the stage. We all reach that point sooner or later. Nothing wrong with staying in shape and continuing to be your best.

That is a sad lineup.... they should have all retired.

Pretty sad and pathetic to make a comment like that. Weren't you a competitor/promoter? Wow. So much for mutual respect.

@@SS-pi7sj I won my pro card at 50 and retired. I am a firm believer that everyone should know when to hang it up from the stage. Staying in shape is a whole different story. For that they all have my respect.

@@kenarsenault9863 Many people are not life-long competitors and go on stage for 10-20 years. Some just do it to see how the experience is and how it can help them in other aspects of their lives. I really don't have a problem with older guys competing, especially naturally. Sure, the 50+ guys are going to come in all shapes and sizes but it's just a competition for a little trophy, so whatever brought that guy to the stage, good for them. Many do it for various reasons. I competed back in college in the ANBC (which I'm sure you've heard of) but hadn't since then, well over 30 years. I did this not to get back in shape but to push myself at 54 after overcoming cancer and see what would happen. Many people get inspired by seeing the older guys because they know they probably have lots going on in their lives and at the same time, they're still committed. If you gave your ultimate best to be on stage at that moment, then that's all someone could ask for. BTW, I'm the guy who won here. Never the biggest, never the best body shape, no genetics, etc. but for me, this was my best and I'm proud of it.
