I was too young to remember the run from 07-11, I was 5 when they won in 2008. This past run was the first time I've ever experienced the Phillies in the playoffs. Something I'll never forget

Well they were basically the Nationals of 2019 only they couldn’t cross the finish line, in spite of that they put up one hell of a post season and made the Astros sweat for real.

Also, if you’re in Philadelphia stop by and Tell Bryce, Rhys and Kyle that if they keep swinging so hard their arms are gonna fall apart. Technique matters as much as power, same reason deGrom is always injured, dude throws too hard.

@@joshuapatrick682 i mean sure, they shouldnt swing too hard all the time, as theyll most likely whiff on 90% of pitches. but major league players can swing in excess of 70+ mph. so no, in reality swinging like they do will not allow their arms to fall apart. but also, they are there because of their skills and talent. i think them, and their coaches know more than you and me.
I have never been happier than this game right here
I cried this day ngl

I look back at this Padres team. And wow I am shocked we beat them. They were truly stacked.

I was in tears of joy after this game
I’m not a Philly fan by any means I’m from Boston but when Bryce hit that laser over the left field wall. The roar of the crowd sounds like a Bomb going off. They have such a passionate fanbase love em or hate em.
I remember watching this game, and thinking, "wow... The Phillies are going back to the world series. Last time this happened, I was 12."
One year ago tonight! 🙌🏼😄 *Meanwhile today 10-23-23...Philly Streets Dept. will grease the Center City poles, hoping history repeats before the day is over.
When we first signed Bryce and he was not performing I questioned it. But now? That one swing was worth every penny of his contract
When they had the run from 07 through 11 I always said they should have red towels instead of white, though I get the reasoning. I still have towels from back then. The red towels are so much better though and glad they went with those
We all know that is this had been Matt vasgersian (the most overrated announcer ever) he would have been screaming over the crowd during the Harper homer for about 30 seconds. Soo glad we got j&j to call this game.
2 pitches 2 outs...its like Phillies' Phlow 🎉🎉🎉
1:31:00 that is some Rookie of the Year shit right there....67mph as your strikeout pitch?
For me its the small things. Remember the pitch Harper took for a ball right before the home run. I think any other hitter would have swung at it.

Agreed. Watching this live, I couldn’t believe Bryce didn’t swing there. Nasty change up that Bryce took there.

@@chrisbromley7214that pitch was a strike up until the last second. And with 2 strikes? It took a world of guts and discipline to take that pitch
I still do not understand why the Padres bunted with 1 out in the 9th inning. I could understand if there were no outs. But you gave yourself only 1 chance and you did not have your best bat at the plate. If they had Soto or Machado up after that i could understand.
I loved this game. Not because I give a single 💩 about the Phillies, I just ❤ watching the Padres lose big games! 😆
