2022 KLR 650 Preview. Was it worth the wait?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The KLR 650, after decades of dominance, got canned by Kawasaki in 2018 and a lot of people were expecting a replacement bike and frankly, expecting a huge upgrade. But what most people are finding, is that there isn’t that much to talk about in upgrades. Let’s go over them.
Not much has changed, but neither has the competition for the 2020 KLR 650. The Suzuki DR 650 remains the dirt alternative and the Royal Enfield Himalayan is the only "new" competition. So really, when you are putting bikes that directly compete with this new KLR, it has a lot to offer.

I think Kawasaki did the right thing. Lots of riders out there that still enjoy simple. KLR had a long production run because they sold, and it will continue with the 2022.

Big Papa I think you are right. Once you get a new seat, this is a pretty well rounded bike for someone who doesn’t have crazy off road skills and just wants to take it safe and easy down the highway affordably. Which is a pretty high percentage of riders out there.
I'm glad it's heavier than before.
the 652 cc is due to the refit of the ring and piston as the old ones 2008 to 2011 burned oil after 3 years Had a 2011 so I know. they fixed the doohiky and oil burning.

Krav Maga SMA Master Solomon that’s great to hear. Thanks for letting us know.
Did he just say LEDs take up more energy than Halogen? Uhhhh....no. They don't.

Ray Channel I did lol...it was a slip of the tongue that I didn’t catch till after it was uploaded...good catch.
Port fuel injection is great. Direct injection is shit and has too many issues and failure points for a bike supposedly known for super durability.

That’s true...the owners of these want reliability.
Na, still has a weak 5 speed single cylinder engine. Why not a 1000 cc engine & a 6th gear for better hwy usage? Why not shaft drive? Why not have a center stand standard? Honda Africa Twin or Vstrom 1050 is a better choice & worth the extra cost.

If they spaced the gears properly it shouldn't be a problem. Hard to say until people start riding them. I am tempted to get one.
