Now I appreciate doing review on This trim instead of the higher one... coz everyone does that... I wanted to see what the lower trim looks & feels like. So this is what I was waiting for. Thanks Ben. Just a suggestion though if you could add a slow pan view of the interiors.. coz every detail matters when it comes to deciding about the vehicles. Like for example Even the XLE Sienna Hybrid third row only left side has USB with only 2 cup holders & left third row is just blunt.. Little details... coz Sienna XLE runs at about 42k-44k. This LX trim from KIA is way better. Yes Hybrid has MPG but only V4. I would love to try Kia Carnival all trims.

How do you deal with the floor seat rails in the back? I just imagine my kids filling them with crumbs and other gunk over time.

@@keb990 lol mine do that now! I make weekly to biweekly visits to the car wash and vacuum them out. I can tell there’s going to be constant upkeep and focus lol

The third row can be stowed into the wells. Can the second row also be stowed? Is there storage under the second row seats?

Second row seats are only removable... no under seat storage beneath it either.

Feel like if i got this trim, I'd have to order the better grille and after market wheels!

I really like this configuration. My only wishes were adaptive cruise control and passenger intercom/camera. Not worth the extra 2-3k just for those features.

Do you mind me asking the price you got it for? Did you get a base model or upgrades? In trying to figure out if I could afford it if I get it sometime next year, mid summer ish. Was it the 32k price? Or higher? (You don't have to discuss finances or anything)

Love how Kia keeps reinventing each car that it replaces. The K5, Sorento, updated Stinger, and now this show that Kia is very aggressive in offering premium products but still at a value price. I really think the Carnival shows best in dark colors like this blue, as it allows all of the details to pop. The only small quibble for me on the outside is they did not hide the door track up higher underneath the rear glass, instead cheapened out and stamped it into thr body work. And those seats aren't leather, rather leatherette that will crack over time in something like a minivan due to high usage. Other than that, Kia has a homerun.

Leatherette will last way longer than cloth seat and requires no maintenance like leather would.

2nd Generation Sienna face lift 2006-2010 uses the same V6 btw but in 2017 they changed it

Claims to have 8 seats but it’s only maybe 5 seats in the back. I wouldn’t include the driver seat or front passenger.

The 2022 Carnival engine gets 290 not 276 hp. The previous gen got 276 hp.

The kia logo looks so cool. The color looks really nice on the carnival. I would get 19 or 20 inch wheels instead of 17 inch wheels :)

All the premium trims have 19 inch wheels. Looks cool,helps with handling, but tires subject to bubbles if you hit any potholes, thus higher maintenance cost.

I got the outgoing Sedona and some people find it's abit firm over bumps with the 19" rims, the 17" and 18" had a more balanced feel while being comfort but still very agile within its segment.. plus 17" for winter tyres there is more options, cheaper and soaks up rough winter roads alot better..

@@joebrown9621 Awesome info! I was worry about the FWD and not having the AWD (money) capabilities. However, once you said something about the tires, I think I will rock the 17.

Here's what I'd like to see/focus because I've read about it and havent seen ANY CHANNELS that went over these features. Small details count! I like the fact that the actual floor is completely flat in vehicles like the prior sienna (the 2022 sienna messed it up by not allowing the removing of the mid row seats, big mistake), and the Pacifica has a flat floor when you stow the mid row, and the floor on the new Carnival is completely flat. Why is this important because in vehicles like the Odyssey (which I have) i like a custom seating for our needs so we remove the mid row seats except 1 seat so that other passengers that want to sit in the back do not constantly have to slide forward the other mid row seat (which wouldnt work anyways if you have a baby seat in it, so complete waste in the new Sienna on that). Also i measured (about 3.5 inches) you miss out on those large plastic/metal base that holds the Odyssey seats and this takes away standing height when trying to enter the vehicle into the back row!!! Now i know why the Pacific feels so large when getting in/out. I think this will give a major advantage of comfort to the new Carnival. Also, because the seats are easy to change out and the floor is completely flat, I read that you can actually flip the seats around in the mid row to look towards the back!!! Please show this!! Then my toddler wouldnt complain that he cant see mommy sitting in the back row next to baby.

Carnivals in North America do not come with the second row rear-facing seat configuration but there is a remedy for that on other youtube channels.

@@supertrooper73 I've been told differently. all trims below the top trim offer removable mid row correct? Which simply means if you can remove them (which I'm sure you can), you can turn them around. The only one you cant I believe is the top trim, which is because it's wired w/ electrical connections similar to the toyota sienna.

Sure - you can remove the second row seats but the latches to place said seats to face the rear are blocked directly from the factory here in the states, however, there are youtube videos showing how to get around this. Cheers.

Dealers are pathetic at vehicle detailing and prep. They use brushes on brand new vehicles and the finish is ruined. We've even had to paint-correct my wife's new MB S63.

We just added a loaded 2021 Pacifica S in Destroyer Grey after driving the Kia Carnival SX Prestige. The Kia was awesome and had almost everything we would need. It all came down to AWD, UConnect 5, storage solutions, and yes, being a loyal Chrysler customer, $7k off of the price, which worked out to be cheaper than the Carnival. Ben should do a comparo!
