This is the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz, the first pickup truck from the brand to land in North America. Except, that's not really the case. It looks like a truck, and sure it has a bed in the back and yes it can tow, but Hyundai is refusing to call this a truck and instead they're using the term Sports Adventure Vehicle. Today, we're going to see what this new vehicle is all about.

Exactly
OK, now show us the base, least expensive version of this wonderful vehicle. I won’t spend $40+ on ANYTHING but I would consider the least expensive model of this.
Having Apple Carplay/Android Auto as standard is not weird. What other non-luxury brands offering that as standard? It's a fantastic marketing strategy if you ask me. An average Joe like myself, can feel special having that touch of technology that only restricted on high-end trim models of different brands. The Limited trim already comes with a bigger screen, ambient lighting, and blindspot camera..Hyundai is known to throw in value feature for the money. I'm just curious why Journalists is not even taking notice of it. Let alone, applauding them for having wireless Carplay/Auto as a standard feature.
I like it. I’d rather have an Elantra n tho.
Both engine choices don't have auto transmission, the bigger engine has a dual clutch which is not exactly an automatic. Also the Ridgeline is a bigger vehicle (mid size) vs the compact Santa Cruz. Apples to oranges.....come on man.
Hate all these tiny pickups with NO GROUND CLEARANCE. One of the most notable features of pickup trucks are GROUND CLEARANCE 🤦♂️

I bought one, limited trim white exterior. I love it. I don't want/need a truck with ground clearance. Been there done that. I ended up selling my real truck after 2 years. I just want a crossover except with more room for me to haul stuff away. Perfect for someone who lives in a suburban setting who does minimal projects around the house but hires licensed and bonded contractors for the major stuff.
