I have ridden it twice ,I didn't like it. I like the Beast better and What used to be the "Top Gun" I Love the "Anaconda" and the Rebel Yell and the Bobsled at Kings Dominion as I from Virginia bigger park better rides. Oh I do love also what used to be the " ITALIAN Job" Kings Island.

I actually worked on building the Diamond back. I did all the drilled pier inspections and tested the concrete. In college I worked at Kings Island as a summer job for 4 seasons, being there when the Beast first opened up!!! I've gone there since 1972 when the park opened and almost every year since.

What kind of air content did the concrete have during the pour? What is slump for footings on a rollercoaster? Curious as I do construction inspection as well.

@@240devil1 I really don't remember. Was working for Terracon then. Maybe 5 or 6 inch slump. Probably plain concrete with no air. Just guessing. Possibly some air just don't remember. It's been over 10 yrs ago. I worked as a construction inspector for 42 yrs. Just retired at the end of last year.

13 times! You beat my record of 9. Diamondback is a great ride.

After a few rides in other seat locations, I sat front seat for two rides on this a few years ago. It was unreal. IF you can convince your mind to trust physics and that weird, triangular bar at your waist and what feels like a bicycle seat underneath you, then hanging your legs and arms out, spread-eagle style, down that first drop and back up to the second peak, is something special. WoooHooooo!!!!!

Yeah, that was definitely my Holy sh*t moment! I broke my one rule by looking down on that first drop. The open air trains with the clam shell lap bar added to my WTF moments

My favorite B&M hyper, easily.

My favorite roller coaster in the park. You really get a flying sensation while riding it.

One of my favorite coasters. No coaster does floater/ejector airtime like Diamondback!! The perfect hyper (except for the trims)!!

I have to agree! I rode it a couple of weeks ago for the first time and that airtime is truly terrifyingly amazing. I rode in the front row and broke my #1 rule of whatever you do, don’t look down… that was a “Holy F**k moment. But I rode it several times that weekend.

My favorite coaster in the park with Banshee at a VERY close second. Floater airtime for days on this beauty!

It's something else, for sure. Smooth, Smoother, Smoothest. The first drop is pretty quiet as far as track noise. Those wheels seem to loose contact with the track on the free fall.

I tried to watch some of your videos and he is sorry to tell you but they are almost unwatchable due to the many movements of the camera. I recommend that you invest in a camera with a better stabilizer or anchor the camera better to a train that won't move.

Ok.. I’m sorry for anyone who disagrees but I will gladly trade i305 at KD for this!!!! I wish I could have the opportunity to actually ride it some day

I enjoyed it very much! But the last time of was there I road the beast, the new Woodie 2-times each at night so the next visit I'll do it again plus hit Diamond Back and the New One 2-times each at night as well! I've always loved going to KI since back in the 80's but the thrill I missed the most, 'literally,' was son of beast! I'd always call KI before I'd plan to visit! Was always told the Son of Beast was operating but when I'd get there! It was not! Pissed me off! I go back so far going to KI the Bat was up and running back then! Sad!

I'm sad that by the time I went to ride this the other day it broke down...and I had to leave before the got it running again

i’m going to kings island this summer after chickening out on diamondback last summer. i’m kind of scared of the height and just the first drop in general. i’ve ridden flight of fear, racer, back lot stunt, and mystic timbers. any advice?

I was deathly afraid of this ride too until I finally rode it this year. For the first drop, just try Beast near the back first. If you ride Diamondback near the front then it will just feel like every other roller coaster drop you've done, just a bit steeper. Racer also has very similar airtime to DB but DB's is just incredible and definitely something you shouldn't deprive yourself of.

mm it gives floter airtime as opposed to the ejector air time of Mystic timbyrs in fact this is a much smoother ride most coaster lovers prefer Mystic timbers but i prefer this

My favorite coaster there. It would be the Beast, but damn. Have you been in those wait lines when they call a time out?????? So, Diamondback gets first place in my book.

You name it, it's probably in there. Gum, hair bands, wrist bands, more gum, lighters, vape pens and vape carts, cigarette packs, snack bars, half eaten whatever, more gum, probably a sealed condom or two. And gum, in case l forgot to mention gum, there's lots of gum. And about $100 possibly more, in loose change.

Hair bands. It's all hair bands. It's etiquette to not throw anything other than hairbands on that roof. It's similar to throwing underwear on stage at concert.
