Just flip the mirror switch on the door to the right, then the mirror tilts up again or doesn't tilt down in the first place.

My perfect daily car. Lots of people say the B57 3.0 Diesel engine is a gem and the one to go for, even over the B58 petrol in the 540i. Even Evo magazine said this, and they're into sporty cars. I'd love a 530d RWD M Sport with adaptive dampers, if I can afford one, in the next few years, nice all round package, good looks, drives well and not too flashy. Handling better on the RWD too. A mild remap to about 320bhp would finish off nicely. Just sold my E46 330i convertible after 8 years with it and missing having a BMW already. My neightbour has an F10 525d and E90 M3 so that reminds me of what I'm missing, too often. He bought my E46 in fact, I think he's really addicted to them!

Great review, there really isn't a bad spot on the current 5-series line up. Is it possible that you review an LCi 540i as well?

on the driver's door, next to the mirror buttons you can see small black slider button. If you slide it left you will not have the "problem" with the moving mirror on the right mirror. :)))))

I have the same car with cream leather. The dipping mirror switch off is button down from mirror adjuster.I like the car a lot.Start stop system only switches off when in sport mode.

You can turn it off with touch of left finger on the door, little switch it's standard feature on BMW since 1996

You have to put reserve gear and setting the mirror, so it will save your setting on reserve, i know that from other car brand with these reserve mirror system. Anyway nice video bro

Try leaving the electric mirror switch on the drivers side and it should not dip when reversing

Bro which is best 530i vs 530d ???? ..... I love quiet cars does 530d diesel makes lot of sound can you feel that from inside ????

Hey man honestly both are very good comfortable and quiet. I personally prefer the 530d because it is a 6 cylinder turbo diesel compared to the 4 Cylinder turbo petrol in the 530i

530d is so quiet,it wouldn`t bother anyone,and I have had some 80 cars inc several Merc petrol and diesel.

The chairs are very beautiful. And you must call the engine being placed "longitudinally"

Well, it's a year late, but for the mirror you just have to let the switch on the armrest for the mirrors on the left side. The mirror on the right side will only go down during reverse if the switch is on the right side too.

Sadly i couldn't test the quarter mile time. However It should be around 13 seconds. This one as equipped was about 85k Euros.

Yes if not equipped with xDrive this is a rwd Car ✅️

I have the same one 2023 year and yeah I think It´s not possible to turn off Start Stop system on this new generations of bmw´s unfortunatelly!

the 530d had little to no traction issues so if you like driving fun and a bit of drifting and the rwd feel and live in an area wirh decent weather xdrive is not needed. + rwd is lighter. Everyone to their preference though

Also the engine isn't a V6, it is a straight six. And you can't turn off the Start-Stop anymore.

It's because of being a mild hybrid and the new WLTP. Turning off start-stop wouldn't make much sense with this technique, but I don't like it as well. You can fool the system by putting the car into SPORT INDIVIDUAL Mode and set everything into comfort. So it drives like normal comfort mode, but Start-Stop is deactivated. Only thing is that your digital cluster will look like sport mode, but who cares. Thank me later

I don't get the issue people have with stop-start. The car is quieter with it off, it saves fuel, and the modern systems work well, my 2016 mini (6 speed manual) has it and I never want to disable it. The only time it is annoying is if I stall the car, which is due to the really tall gearing - about 80mph in 2nd gear for a 1.5 engine. It takes about 1.5 seconds to restart. Apparently the stop-start can be coded out but the dealers throw a wobbly if they find out.

Its wired to see you standing on the acceleration line. Why did you just go? If you do not get an oppertunity to turn left left safely just continue going on the right side until is works. But just stopping there is quite dangerous.

i am not sure what you mean? i have mirrors and check them regularly there was nothing dangerous about this if you are an experienced driver and the timing was good. But thank you for your concerns

@@Catchingcars don´t worry, but in Germany it is absolutly unusual just to stop on the acceleration line. Normally you will just metal to the pedal and then line up. I am driving cars since 40 years now and it never happened that I had to stop there or I saw someobody else doing this. This should only happen in extreme emergencys. But your video is great! I will get my new 530d in December and I am looking forward to this :)

Sorry but @Erdie65 is correct. This lane is not supposed to be used to stop if you don’t have to. It’s called acceleration lane for a reason. You cause a hazard for you and the drivers behind you. If ever you are only allowed to stop at the very end of the acceleration lane. If you want to read up on it you can do so in 18 StVO 3.

Some rules are very dumb and i am sorry i will not follow rules that dont make sense. If i am not bothering anybody and am not a hazard which in this case i was not there is absolutely no point for such over burocratic B.S.

Some rules of the stvo are very stupid in my opinion and i also drive alot actually more than alot haha and am very highly experienced... i do understand that the roads do not belong to me by myself and i am very patient with others and cautious but aslong as i wasnt bothering nobody which i wasnt i do not see a problem here no matter if the goverment which are also just people that make mistakes have put it in the stvo or not... Very Good Choice with the 530d i really did love this car. I hope you have fun with it!
