2021 YZ85 Crashes into another Dirt Bike

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We went riding this last week to the Seven Mile off road park by Spokane WA. Overall it was a good day but it was really busy and lots of mud spots. However my son pulled in front of another bike on his 2021 YZ85 and was hit by her dirt bike. Thankfully everyone was ok!

I try to tell them no one is perfect so don’t be afraid of showing your screw ups! I am surprised how fast they adapted to the bikes they are on. Considering they don’t get to ride every week I am really happy with how they ride. Hoping to get them to the mx track again next month

Been going to 7-mile for over 40 years now, when I was Liam's age there were no fences but they did have the bathroom and the parking lot. Would go out on a Saturday morning with my dad at about 8am and ride til about noon and no one else would be there. We'd have the whole place to ourselves. Lots of good memories there and still have fun out there with my kids. Many big crashes and no cell phones back then! When I got into the bigger bikes (Yz125 and 250s) my dad would drive me out (I still didn't have a driver's license) and he would set his lawn chair up on the big hill (one by the parking lot) with my grandpa. I would ride the whole park by myself and no one else really there usually (still can't believe he let me do that!). My dad would ride out there in the late 60s and 70s before there was a parking lot or anything. One time there was a big money race out there and Brad Lackey raced it and won every race on a borrowed bike! I tell my kids it's still the best place to learn dirt bike skills.

That’s great you have been able to enjoy it for so long. I worry eventually they will give it up and let developers build on it. Hopefully it doesn’t happen. Too many memories out there

@@DadsDomain I really hope that never happens. When we had four wheelers, we would take garbage sacks out a couple times a year and pick up garbage for a nice little ride and help keep the place clean and give them one less excuse for them to shut it down.

I honestly was surprised to see him ride like that. He basically froze the first two times trying the bike and didn’t do much. This was his first real ride and he just took off. Makes me happy he is comfortable on it though

I'm curious to know this as well. It seems like most people with just the vortex, exhaust and thermostat delete don't even need to adjust the valves after 15k+ miles. I'd be curious to see what the adjustment interval is like with the cam kit and overall longevity.

I can definitely feel the power difference when I switch the bikes, there isn’t even a question about it. But off road, short of sand, I still think it’s more rider than bike. Now on pavement I wish I had that extra power no doubt. He didn’t get enough miles to check the valves this winter but so far everting is working great. We will spend more time with it here later this spring

Haha nice work boys! Did someone say Gateway computers!!! 🤣 I worked for them here in Oz before they pulled the pin. Small world. Btw my boy is learning to ride CRF125F. I have CRF250L. Thinking I should have got CRF450L which Honda no longer sell in Oz due to costs. Maybe upgrade to CRF300L when more become available. Cheers.

I was originally going to do a video on that but then my brother in law sold it. For myself I'd still want the 650 but you'd need to mod it. However if I was going to use it for some commuting, slower speeds, I'd buy the 250. Better MPG, Fuel Injected, cheaper, and is more refined. But I fluctuate weight a lot and at my weight the 250 is really softly sprung so the little extra power and better suspension sends myself to the 650
