You should definitely have your own tv show Edd. Excellent 👌 review
Lovely review,well done Ed. 👍
Given the very large orders now starting to come in for this and Rivian / Arrival EV vans among others, I wonder how long it will be economically viable for manufactures to make diesel versions ?

in regard to the range is the van empty when tested or is there a % load.

Wltp for vans is with 50% of max load, I understand. So in this case 500kg. But of course, these are still official numbers. Would be less in winter etc.
Can you fit an 8 by 4 sheet in on edge.?
I like the idea that van drivers take notice of payload weight...
Well done PSA, hopefully will be replacing the diesel vivaros (and siblings) that seem to be the staple delivery vans at the minute.
Best presenter ever!!!!
Nice review, thanks! - but it didn't cover the burning question for me. Is that 205 mile range with the van empty, or fully laden with the one tonne payload?
@conorlanders8401
2 жыл бұрын
The 205 range is optimistic. I'd say I get around 180ish with a reasonable payload. With it full and towing on a motorway you're probably looking at closer to 100ish miles range.
I am a simple man... I see Edd, I click watch and like the video...
Is this also the same model as Toyota Proace ? Would love to see something like this in the US, but want a few reasonable things I will wait for. 300 mile range, 15 minute charge to 80%, 110v power plug in the back, overnight Air conditioning for 7% of the battery. Able to run Air conditioning while charging. on board solar charging option to get back 15 miles per day with a single 500 watt 48v solar panel.
Great to see Edd
Charging times?
Awesome vlog ❤
I like it, much better than the ABT VW. A bit more range and i can see this as an electric camper.

Need more incentive to change £10.000 more than diesel engine van a big factor when I change
Why have the psa group reduced the spec on vehicles and offered no compensation
This is way better than the VW Transporter 6.1e ABT, that was a joke. Who in their right mind would spend money on it and why was it signed off?
I just wish these electric vans were here 5 years ago. Speaking of, Toyota had squandered far too much in not giving us a hybrid van. Petrol and diesels were just profitable for them.

Nissan E-NV200 came out 7 years ago, I've spent 5 years driving one. I have worked out I am approx 10 grand better off after 5 years compared to if I had bought the diesel, plus all the other advantages. Wish the public chargers were easier to use , although i have never ACTUALLY run totally out (touch wood ) .
75 battery upto 205 mile range now load it up with 3 people put more in the back of over a ton (real world use) hitch your trailer and put a ton on that and go for a drive. That max 205 mile range will turn into imo if your really lucky 100 miles. The other thing nothing was mentioned about how long it will take to charge. Your paying £10000 more for the pleasure of owning very short range EV van oh the joy.

You have to remember these vehicles are currently designed for the city. I understand what you mean with towing because the weight will use more power but the idea is that you only tow short distances to somewhere like a tip, building merchants etc. There’s no way you could tow a caravan with this but it’s pretty good for an early van. Just imagine what ev vans can be capable if companies put there resources towards electric vehicles.

1.8mi/kWh at 40mph. I'm not seeing over 200 miles there. Infact I'm seeing sub 100 in the smaller battery one and if you do 70 its going to go down a long way.
The official (?) claimed range, is it with all the 1226kg loaded? I doubt it. So, what's the actual range of this car when carrying load?
@siraff4461
3 жыл бұрын
It was reading 1.6-1.8 mi/kWh at 40mph. At 1.8 that would be around 135 miles from the big battery and around 90 miles from the smaller one - presuming all that battery is usable. Thats in an empty van with one guy in it. If you travel at motorway speeds that will drop a long way. I would say on a motorway you're going to be looking for a charger after 50-70 miles depending on battery.

@@siraff4461 50 to 70 miles on a fairy drive with no loads?
@siraff4461
3 жыл бұрын
@@menifo4334 At motorway speeds thats what it looks like based on its use in this vid. Even at 2.5mi/kWh that would only be 125mi from the 50kWh and 187.5 from the 75kWh - all presuming the whole battery is usable which means you're going to be looking for a charger around 100 miles and around 165 miles. 2.5mi/kWh is what it was showing with an average of 31mph so thats the best you're likely to get around town. Also remember this is unloaded, one driver and no rain/ets - all things which affect ev range. At 1.6 it would be 80miles for the small one and 120 miles for the big one. Take out some to find and get to a charger without running out (around 20 miles if you don't like playing Russian roulette) and you're left with 60 or 100 miles. Of course a load and more speed would reduce that. So would rain, cold, etc. The speed is the big range killer. As I said - drive that at 70mph and you're not going to be going too far.

@siraff4461
2 жыл бұрын
@@ShinShinoke No - thats based on that snapshot and over 10 years of ev ownership experience with various vehicles. Even from the battery size, weight, CDa and so on you can make a pretty good guess at what its likely to do. When you know what kind of heater it uses, how (if) the battery is cooled and so on you can get fairly close. My point was I have no reason not to agree with that snapshot based on the information available and since an accurate current meter and speedo aren't difficult its fair to assume its not all that far off.
The range is disappointing? There are EVs with double that range right now.
Would you pay £44,000 for one of these?
M-B e-Vito? Would it cry if you drove it in Argentina?
Can never understand why those who design quite a few vehicles nowadays is why they put reverse function in the forward position (in this case its a button) To my mind I want a function lever to push forward to ? and yes pull back to go back.
@markparker5585
3 жыл бұрын
It’s because that’s the way automatic gear selectors have historically worked in petrol/diesel cars and vans, and manufacturers don’t want the aggro if they make EVs the sensible way, and people crash. Yes, forward for reverse and back for forward is, unintuitive, and for EVs, unnecessary.
@patrickjr11

@@markparker5585 Agree, it is odd pull the lever back to go forward. A lot of the EVs are switching to dashboard buttons or rotary dials to get around this hangover from auto-gearbox days

They have a multi seat version and really good taxi it would make as such a cheap vehicle to run
And like all good psa group cars the electrics will fail a lot as psa cars have really good electrical systems and it will fall to bits at will
The whole mode selector module is in the wrong place, it costs space of the middle seat. It should not be there, really.

Blade Batteries
Something I’d like to know, all this electric revolution seems great... I tow with a conventional vehicle, but electric cars /vehicles don’t seem capable of towing any distance, if at all, also what about lifespan of vehicles and batteries vs lithium waste from the batteries

This van has CCS and a decent range, so should be perfectly good enough for 95% of business daily miles now. I can see it being a very popular van.
