That’s one of your best produced and smoothest videos yet. Great, detailed information as usual. Very nicely done!
Those little edits, camera angles & beats, mega video! Thanks MB.
Great review mate! It’s actually my dream bike. It offers everything I would need. I absolutely adore this machine!
Very nice comprehensive yet not boring review, well done!
Thanks for the video - another good one. I test rode the 900 GT Pro this morning and absolutely loved it! I have a Tiger 1200 which is a great bike, but unless I ride 250 miles I feel like its been a wasted effort taking it out. I tried a Tiger 800 around 18 months ago, and liked it, but it was definitely lacking grunt compared to the 1200. The 900 though, has been improved alot in that mid-range power band; I'm lucky enough to live near the Yorkshire Moors, and so the test ride was around the lanes there - rolling around in 3rd and 4th gear was great - accelerates from mid-40s in 4th up to 80 at a rate that makes you hang onto the handlebars!! So, I think that as the finance on the 1200 is up at the end of this month, I'll be chopping it in for one of the 900's - it really is a great bike!
Great video mate. I bought gt pro in May and now have 4000 miles . It’s smooth enough and versatile enough to do a lot of different types of riding. I do weekend rides with local triumph group and commute everyday Just a good all around bike. The tech is awesome. All my triumph friends love my bike. Hoping to do big ride next summer to Montana, Colorado and Utah on it
Excellent video and all you need to know, clear and concise and non sensationalising which I like. I have on order a Rally Pro in Khaki with a load of extras ready for a trip to the Picos once we are allowed some adventure trips ! 🏍💨
Great review! More info presented in 10 minutes than others have in 40.
Another great review Bob! really top quality info and footage and editing

Great video! Along with your other videos reviewing other bikes. No unnecessary comparisons, no unnecessary nitpicking, just honest bike reviews. Great stuff here, and some bad ass editing!

Great video as always. Looking forward to the comparison with the ktm and the differences between that and the 850 sport
I have the Scrambler 1200 but the Tiger 900 Rally pro is also one hell of a bike that i enjoyed thoroughly.
That Urban GS is achingly beautiful, Bob. I must check out your dedicated video on it. 👍
Yes! Best trade I made, the Rally Pro is a fantastic bike
I remember that the cruise control on my 93 XR650L was cheep. $1.65 for 2 hose clamps at a truck stop. You put one on the throttle grip. Take a dime (.10c) and put it between the left grip and the switch pod. Just get to the speed you want, take the dime and tighten the clamp. Put the dime back and your set.
Good review, I absolutely love my rally pro. However, your front seat looks like it isn’t fully in the lower setting. The front edge is sitting up to high, there is a second bar for the seat hook to engage that is lower.
Great video I love both bikes 800 and the 900 but didn’t feel any vibration on the 900 but really looking forward to the new bigger tiger going to be interesting 🤔
Bought mine last year. Love the features and I've put several thousand miles on (not my only bike). Only a couple things I'm not crazy about...the seat attachment system is clunky and leaves a fair amount of movement. Ride modes are great but I don't like the way they've laid out the TFT screen. I like the one on the 1200 much better. Other than those things I love it!
How lovely the tiger 900 i love it so much.
Great video, I’m considering this bike.
Awesome review keep them coming 🙋♂️🇺🇸

Great review Bob, love the place you chose to film as it really inspires the adventure style 👍. You mentioned some other brands have their cruise control on the right which is a pain, but wasn’t it Triumph who were the main company using the switch on the right with their Explorer 1200 and Trophy?

Great review. Would love to hear your thoughts on GT Pro vs KTM Adventure 890. I am in the market for one or the other and you speak highly of them both.
I love this bike!!!!!
Very nice review, i was thinking on get a Honda African Twin but i think it is to heavy and big so i also looked at KTM 890, but i wil buy Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro and i find that is the best and have a nice price :)

Great vid mate. This is the bike on the top end of my list. The top bike is a GS1250. Is the extra money for the GS worth it? I thought I had it pegged but trying to weigh up use per month/year. I have seen the GS drop a lot with depreciation. Any advice would be appreciated, safe rides my friend.
i've watched this video 7x lol love this bike !!!!!
T as in Triumph and Tiger is an important letter. It should be used at all times and not neglected . Nice bike by the way.
Dope 🔥🔥
wonderful video, thank you very much. do you know if there is a video how I can remove the hoods from my tiger 900, to hide wires.
I second Andy Knighton’s comment: - I’d love to see you do such a deep dive review on the TIGER 900 GT Pro, arguably my soon-to-be future Bike, after I trade my 2019 Street Twin What have you to say about that?? 🤔🧐😋👍🏼🇵🇹
Mine is full spec as well. Same Panniers, Akro Slip on, dyno jet, low rider seat which is a plus for me at 5’7” but for sure a sacrifice to the knees and the comfort over distance beyond 300 miles. Over all I paid $19k for mine. Same color scheme as yours. I run Gerbing heating gear with the Euro to US adapters for the front and rear power ports. I won’t mention the incessant up and down scrolling between features. That part sucks, along with the Navigation setup w/ Bluetooth. Do yourself a favor and just use your cell phone on a QL mount. This bike is amaze balls fun!!
Slickest video yet. Stellar work. 👌

Hope you are enjoying your 850 EBD
Bought one a few weeks ago. Love it! It feels very smooth to me and I rarely put the screen over the lowest position. That said, I have not pushed it over 120 km/h yet (run-in) and I am probably pretty used to my speedmaster... It is very approachable and easy to ride (perhaps best in class in this regard?) and very confidence inspiring off-road... Ahem, as long as you do not overstep the bounds of your skill and of the street tires it comes with of course ;) I am thinking TKC70s for my next tire after the bike (and the rider) are decently run-in...
Iv'e owned 3 800 tigers and 2 1200 and now have a 900 and don't find the "vibration" to be an issue. maybe just me but the 900 engine is a peach, low down torque with high rev growl and you still get the triple turbine whine.
Did you notice any excessive heat coming from the fans on the sides? Multiple reviewers already complained about it
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Be interested to see your thoughts on the difference between the GT Pro & Rally Pro. Especially for those of us that will be using for the road

It’s almost identical. I bought the GT pro, and LOVE the adjustable suspension. I did end up buying crash bars (not standard on the GT Pro). I had a 2014 800 XC, and I think this bike is AMAZING.
Hi. Thanks for nice video. I would to know how tall are you? What kind of sofa do you used during the trip? Thanks a lot for answer.
I wish Triumph would make it look like a different version of Norden since they are very good in making a modern bike with a classic twist
I bought it a month ago........everything is good but engine heat directly heat my knee that's too hot to endure during riding in urban
What about fuel economy would you compared to t100 or t120?
I am watching a lot of reviews of the Tiger 900 GT complaining about the bend in the leg and a slightly sport position. Did you find that the taller Rally that there was less bend in your leg?
Im just a little concerned about the reported vibration issues as compared to other bikes ..
Bro is there any news about speed twin broo
Last thing, why the need to fully stop to change mode to “Off Road”, and why the governor at 128?? 😢 I won’t get into the built in knee warmers.
How tall are your shoes when riding the rally?
Rally Vs GT would be a good review

I have the bike. Love it. I notice you have the Shoei Gt-Air 2....with a Sena SRL2 I assume. I've an iPhone 11 Pro as well. The only prob I've had is that I can't use the bike as a Bluetooth hub as it wants me to. If I do it that way, the music cuts out every 3 to 5 seconds. So annoying. I've found I have to go phone-bike. Comm-phone. Then I choose the comm as my audio out on the phone. Hassle. I wonder. Did your setup work as expected/intended? Cheers.

Same here with a Xiaomin mi 8 and Cardo free talk 2 (various problems like dropped calls i.e.)... In the end I gave up and decoupled them. I want to see the maps anyway so I am keeping the phone on a ram mount most of the time. I may give it another shot when rainy season comes again and I might be tempted to store the phone under the seat (no water resistance on mine). Wonder if Triumph does any firmware/software updates for this thing and they might be available i.e. on service time...

@@johnnikiforakis872 Yeah. Me too. It's still a shame though. You could have it set up right and also mount the phone. I mount mine also for twisty mountain farmroads. turn by turn suck for that....
How is this bike on wet roads with that 21” wheel?
I think I'll wait until the secondhand 900's drop below 8k. :) One day maybe.
Does it have home theatre?
I came from the 800xcx to 900rally pro and the vibe is noticeable, but then tried a KTM 790 adventure for a day and I think that's worse again it made my hands ache afterwards, never had that before or after the ktm

@@dafebeme2 it's an awesome bike, I get some finger tingle at 200 ish miles Mark, but most of that was because I was using Dunlop Trailmax Mission tyres, now I am on Continental ckt 70 rocks and the problem take 300 ish miles before I notice it....hope that was helpful, aside from that it's a stunning bike
That windscreen is a MF to adjust while in route. The TCS and ABS are amazing for safety, horrible for performance. I wish they hadn’t added the vibration with the T plane crank. She has plenty of go in any gear. I don’t need the vibration to know what I’m riding. Especially since I keep having to tighten the windscreen screws due to vibration. I still love this machine!!
old school thing put lead bb sin the handlebars stops a lot of buzz pack them in enjoyed the show
5.3 gallon fuel tank...hmm. Mid-range power...hmm. This is a really likeable bike in many ways, but I can't turn away from the Africa Twin Adventure Sport's 6.55 gal tank, low-end grunt and greater speed. Still, I like the Tiger 900 so much I'm gonna test-ride one before I make my final decision.
@StrayPoet

What did you end up getting? Similar predicament here.
@craigfinnegan8534
2 жыл бұрын
@@StrayPoet I've given myself lots of time so I haven't bought anything yet. Since that post, the new Tiger 1200s were released. I'm 80% on the Rally Explorer as my next bike. Nice 8 gal fuel tank, more power, and I've decided that for me, shaft drive is in, chain drive is out. Next year the 1300GS will show up, but I've decided against those killer BMW costs and the boxer cylinders sticking out to the side (I've heard the Triumph isn't much better in service costs, but for some reason it doesn't feel that way to me). I've heard the Tiger 1200 is closer to the Tiger 900 than it is to the old 1200 (impressive), including off-road (very impressive). I've also heard it's power delivery is right in-between the GS's low end grunt and the Multistrada's high end thrill (a good compromise). The only negatives I've heard of on the 1200 are questionable - there are a few reports of issues with the 900's quickshifter (which might not apply to the 1200), and the 1200's on-throttle has a slight snatch to it (easily remedied with remapping by a mechanic, and probably resolved in next year's model). The Rolling Stones had the best motorcycle buying advice I know: "Time is on my side."
I will really appreciate if some user of this machine can tell me what is real fuel consumption per 100 km. Cos with 20l gas tank is not so much potential to be "adventure bike"... thnaks for answer...
If the Tiger 900 GT Pro had normal street tires 120/70-17 F and 180/55-17 R (Or 160/55-17 R) and Not that T crank engine, but a regular triple engine, i would have traded in my Z1000SX for one in a heartbeat. Those two thing are keeping it from being the perfect sport-touring bike with emphasis on touring. I tested the Tiger 900 Rally Pro, and i loved it in every way other then the engine and the available tire choices.
@paulharrison8155

Spot on observation. I rode a 900 GT Pro thinking about it as a replacement for my R1200GS. I understand then fitting the T-Plain crank motor in to the Rally version but whoever it was at Triumph who thought they should do the same with the GT version wants sacking. They have ruined what probably would have been my next bike. The motor vibes so much at higher revs I'll not be buying one !

The two complaints I've heard about the bike are that he vibrations above 80mph are annoying and that the radiators dump a lot of heat directly onto the legs around the knees. You didn't mention heat being an issue. Is it something you noticed at all? Can't wait to see your review of the KTM 890ADV, as it is the bike I'm shopping against the Tiger 900 GT. I can't get a test ride of either in Mexico. Cheers!
@Kim_Miller
3 жыл бұрын
I've got the GT Pro and notice the heat on my knees but only on very hot days when riding in slow traffic. Once at highway speeds it's not a problem. There is an Italian company who make small deflectors that sit inside the outlet area to direct the hot air further outwards but I don't know how well they work.
I had one of these as a courtesy bike. I wasn't impressed. The engine is OK but boring despite being more powerful than my own bike. I thought quality wasn't good enough, with 5000 miles on the clock and a year old it had a lot of rust on the exhaust and bolt heads. I thought the cable routing was messy as well. The seat height is ridiculous, I'm 6' 2" and it took an effort to swing a leg over it. I didn't like the suspension either, very wallowy.
as a 8ft tall rider, does it not make more sense to keep this shield in the ability to lower it during rainy rides, helping to clean the visor?
@agro1942

An 8ft tall rider may have some other ergonomic issues to worry about rather than just a clean visor :P

I’d say it’ll feel a bit tall! There’s the tiger 900 GT low though 👍
It’s not great for long distances. It’s good offroad but the vibrations, wind pro, and brake dive suck. Oh, and Triumph can’t get the phone integration working with a new iPhone and the infotainment UI is a dumpster fire. Triumph didn’t even try to get the GoPro integration to work it’s so hopeless.
