Great video! I ordered a T Sportline rear diffuser for my Plaid, I believe I need to drop the bumper in order to do that, this seems to be the best video instructions.

Thanks for this video, had mine done in the drive in about 3 hours. Pretty tricky in places but got it done and it all went back together easily.

I wonder if this fit for my Tesla model S. great instruction.

6:42 you remove and flip over an un-named sensor, which then gets completely blocked by the metal bumper beam. What is this sensor and won't putting it behind a metal beam make it non-functional? Will this degrade the auto-pilot, self driving, parking, and other safety features?

Yea I noticed the same thing. It the sensor for backing up. Which will give you an alert ever time your backing now. 🤦‍♂️ other install videos (etrailer) show them tie warping to the outside of the hitch.

This is very good video and your explanations were easy to follow. Why can’t you simply explain the torque settings instead of “manufacture’s recommended”? Three more… How much is the hitch? How much to install? How long does the job take? Assuming I can find the requisite sockets after the kids have looted my tool box. Thank you.

Great video. I thought he was goi going to take the entire car apart! I agree with having some kind of closure gasket to keep crap out of the bumper. It’s nice that it can be removed and maybe covered up somehow.

But its impossible for a trailer? Since it doesn't have the trailor headlight connections with the car.

Hmmm.....so that sensor gets inverted and is now covered by the steel bumper? Also what about the electrical part of a tow hitch (trailer lights)? And finally: The Tesla 8 year warranty on battery and drive train is not affected?

It would be nice if they made a rubber gasket to go inside the cut made in the bumper to seal road debris from getting inside the bumper. For this and other obvious design improvements on basically anything, I am available for hire.

The procedure would be different slightly on 2022. The bumper does not need to be cut (there is a plastic cover that can be removed) and some pins on the bumper look different. The hitch is also different on 2022.

Moral of the story here: Just Buy a CyberTruck.
