I just followed your video and switched all my interior lights on my ‘23 Rogue. Looks so much better. On the passenger lights, I was able to pry off the front portion and kinda move it to the side enough to switch the bulbs out without taking it off completely. Made re-installing much easier. Thanks for the video, it’s an excellent resource!

Great video! I discovered a hack for the map lights in the rear seats. Still take the cover off, but then push the black housing forward towards the front of the car and it comes out of the headliner, making it super easy to change the bulb and then put the cover back on and then it literally just pops back in. You don’t have to fight with that clip in the front.

I just got done doing the passenger lights in my 23 Rogue and I can say for certain they are a beast to get back on. I must’ve been at it 45 minutes or so and was ready to give up. Finally got it but the plastic stack he mentions I stripped making it harder because it made some sort of “lip”. You really have to push that thick clip but oddly enough after getting the courage to do the other side that one snapped right back on in literally like a minute. I sat there for a moment catatonic like what the hell? That one was a doozy! I’ll tackle the cargo light later I’m done for the night after dealing with those passenger lights😂 Lastly in case anyone was wondering all the interior lights of the Rogue 21 to current model year use 194 socket bulbs and the cargo light is a festoon bulb DE3175 socket type. In my case I used a brand called LasFit. Excellent bulbs! Almost all Nissan current models use mainly 194s including the current model year Altimas.

Did this same upgrade to my parents Accord, sister's Rav4, wife's CR-V, my Tacoma. After several years, only 1 flaky bulb to report (CR-V cargo area flickers) Everyone was happy with the change! Thanks for posting.

Here’s a big hint, the rear seat lights, you don’t need to take the whole light housing out. If you just take a box cutter knife and slide it on the side of the lens that you can see a tab (rear side of clear lens) you can easily pry the clear lens right out, super simple. And if you can’t reach the lightbulb gently use a pair of needle nose pliers with the tips wrapped in electrical tape to grab the lightbulb out and to reinstall.

Nice upgrade. Did the same to my accord. I used philips led 2 packs made in Japan, pricier but well worth it 7 years later and no issues

Great video, thank you! Only one thing I did differently, and that pertains to the rear door over head lights. If you remove the ENTIRE light assembly per side, it is very easy to put it back in place when done! No having to push the fat back tab REALLY hard either. I removed the entire assembly, then easily pried the lens cover off, removed and replaced the upgrades light bulb, tested, then snapped the lens cover back in place, put the fat end tab EASILY back in place and lightly push the entire assembly up into its spot. No having to push hard and took less then a minute, really, less then a minute. To remove the entire light housing, just lightly pry under the forward facing assembly and pull down. Comes out attached to wires so don't pull to hard. At this point remove the light cover off assembly.

If you just undo the side we're the on /off button is positioned you don't need to pull the whole light out just open it enough to slide the bulp out , it's a bit tricky to get the light bulb out this way but at least you don't need to remove the complete thing out of the roof which takes away the difficult part of ré installing

How about the light in the center storage between both front seats?

What type of bulbs do the mirror lights take? I didn’t see those listed in the description

My first and only complaint before buying this car when I got in to test drive was... "wtf is wrong with the lights?". I watched this video and then bought the car. Got the teal lights and its so awesome. Wife wouldnt let me get red lol. Thanks for this video!

Thanks for uploading this. I was looking for this video for a while. Is there any precaution you can take to not blow out the breaker fuses? I changed all the enterior lights to LED in a Honda once and the trunk light kept popping the fuse so I had to leave the cargo lights as it was. I kind of want to change the lights in my rogue but don't really want the same thing to happen again.

I can not get the rear passenger covers back on! Been trying for 2 days now and can not get it to clip in even after watching your video. The big clip will not go up and in. Help!

Absolutely no chance to put back the rear cover... Had to use sandpaper on the clip to remove 1-2 mm. As we all know: still enough to hold very tight :D By the way: unfortunately I scratched my cover within this action :( Any idea where I can get this as a spare part? I didn't see any OEM part no. on it?

@@COGuyStuff I can asure you: There was a need for this modification with sandpaper. Tried it at least for an hour in every angle, force, tools. It didn't go back in

Can anyone in the comments help i just tried doing this in my car at night i know stupid i had the interior lights on while changing the bulb in the dome lights and all the lights inside no longer turn on might it be a fuse ? Update figured it out and successfully changed all but the passenger lights which i rarely have anyone in the back to begin with might have someone at the dealer take care of it for me..trunk light was replaced also thanks for the good video… i ended up blowing a fuse good thing theres extra fuses in the fuse box i swapped it out and everything worked fine
