I just got the same car, virtually the same spec from Santa Monica (Simonson)... aside from the armrest color and seat inserts (I got the cross stitched all black/charcoal interior), the exterior and night package are identical. I love it! Hands down my favorite AMG car I’ve ever owned... that includes 2 G wagons, a previous and current c63s, and a former sl55 AMG,... this thing is a beast.

Very gorgeous opulent vehicle..Perfect for family and business travels.Amazing and impressive interior designs. Classy and elegant. Different mode on seats comfort, absolutely amazing..The front cameras touch screen are more efficient and clearer. Very nice.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! The GLS 63 exterior design isn’t my favorite of full size SUVs, but it definitely doesn’t look bad. It’s the best GLS design since the vehicle was introduced. The front has presence!

They do go in automatically when you lock the vehicle. That button is just a way to fold them manually

Is your test car equipped with the E active body control? Any experience you can share if applicable?

Yes, all 2021 GLS 63 models come with the active anti roll bars activated through the EQ Boost starter/generator. The GLS goes from soft cruising to high level, stable cornering in a second - it’s amazing! For more driving impressions, I did a full review: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXyjl5t8hd22gLg.html

That particle filter and the turbo's are really killing the sound. And I hate that they add these ridiculous pops and bangs, when lifting off, to sort of mitigate the absence of a proper exhaust note.

I love your videos. Beautiful in all aspects. I saw you test driving the X7 m50i. In your opinion, which is the better to own, the Mercedes GLS or the BMW X7? In South Africa we currently have not received this amg engine, but it is scheduled to arrive soon.

Thank you for the support! It’s a tough call, but I’d go for the GLS. It’s more comfortable and has better tech. The styling is a toss up for me. Long term ownership cost is probably a wash. Both BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles get very expensive when it comes to maintaining them.

Both of them are not for car guys who love to work on their cars on Sunday morning. These Bmw x7, Gls AMG 63, and Range Rove are a nightmare to work on.

King•Le Roy Or getting them somewhere else. Schools aren’t going to be open again for a long ass time. Maybe not even until 2022, or until there is a vaccine. This vehicle is sick, but it will be plentiful on lots. People won’t be out buying 150k SUV’s for awhile. Mercedes dealers may have to adjust their pricing if they want to move these.

Question for you: How did you get this model even before Mercedes can brag about it? The largest model with both AMG and 4Matic on their site is the GLE 63 S 4MATIC. I can't find anywhere stating the GLS in 2021 will come with both.

When the time comes to repair those electrical seats. Rising, lowering, folding and moving automatically. The bill going to be as much as the car and mortgage note combined or more. Repairs going to be mind blowing 🤯.

Not all Mercedes are like that tho... but you always should buy warranties for high end luxury cars like Mercedes or any car in general

Buying this model or shopping the competition? I’m a big fan of the GLS 63. The options list can get expensive, so my advice would just be to only pick the options you really think you’ll use. Check out my review for more detailed advice.

Endorion depending on ur region u can still go to a 580 if you want, it’s fast and still got that nice v8 engine. AMGs are unnecessary, they are good and fun but u don’t need it

This is the “normal” spec, yes. There’s a chance a GLS 63 “S” will come later - especially if BMW makes a full X7 M, but it’s not guaranteed

The previous generation gls looks so much better to me. I can’t bring myself to buy this, not even the gls 450

I've had a GL63 and was gonna get this but 2021 Escalade might edge it out, just because of super cruise.

If the manufacturer quoted a 0-60 time, I use that, but if not, I use C&D

I prefer the exterior of the X7 M50i. But the interior of the GLS 63 is on another level. Which car do you prefer?

Completely agree. I’m not a huge fan of AMG suv exterior design, but their cabins are incredible. Between the two, I could get over the exterior styling and embrace the GLS as my daily

exterior looks like a bubble compared to the predescessor.

This or the Lexus 570?

100% this if you don’t plan to do any serious off reading. The LX 570 has a slightly plusher ride, but the look and tech are way too outdated for the price.
