In Germany everytime you saw a Jeep, Corvette, Dodge, RAM or Ford Mustang on the Autobahn you knew: - There must be a US Mlitary Base nearby I regulary drive on the Autobahn towards Metz, France from here in Germany (Usually from Frankfurt am Main) and when you get in the Area around the US Airbases it feels like you suddenly ended up in the USA for like 30km and then suddenly Germany again. I always wondered why so many US Soldiers stationed in Germany have either a Muscle Car, a Dodge RAM/Ford F-Truck or a Corvette (seen all from C3 to C7)

Have a story I was told a couple years ago from a guy at the company that makes Humvees (AM General): They attempted to partner with Fiat to produce an actual military-grade Gladiator. The executives at AM General kept hyping the idea up for their employees by talking about how they were having meetings with Fiat on how to coordinate such a partnership. Turned out these meetings just involved the AM General guys excitedly talking about all the possibilities, and the Fiat guys rolling their eyes wondering why they had even agreed to discuss this in the first place. In the end, the AM General engineers were tasked with how to take a new 100% stock consumer-grade Gladiator and convert it to a military variant. Reason being that the only option AM General ended up with was buying a standard Gladiator from Fiat just like any other customer. What a fabulous "partnership".

I had tried loading a car on a trailer trying to move out of state. Tried every which way and decided the only way it was going on was to use the driveway, blocking the road. I went as fast as I could, everyone turned around and went the other way to get home, but not a Karen in her Jeep truck, no, she honked and honked, after we told her we’re sorry you can go another way, “ DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO!” was her response with windows rolled up. She threatened to call the cops, was videoing us, saying we’re being illegal. She waited the entire time just honking at us as I took my sweet sweet SWEET time. I hope you see this video Karen, and this comment too.

By contrast, some other car-focused channels: Donut Media (at least their original and most well known things like B2B, Up 2 Speed, Wheelhouse): "How did this car, brand, law, or other aspect of motoring come to be?" Top Gear/The Grand Tour: "How can these cars bring about middle school behavior in three old British guys?" ChrisFix: "How do I fix this car?" MightyCarMods: "What stupid crap can we do with this car?" Garage 54: "What even stupider crap can we do with this -car- Lada, but somehow it actually works?" Dug Demuro: "Is this car any good?" I always love your sheer brilliance and how it's coupled with a razor-edged wit, delivering the goods in only a way you can. Also, thank you for mentioning Bantam! This old-school Jeep nerd appreciates the nod to history. Well done, sir :) Now, I know it's probably not all that easy to do, but I'd really love to see you guys review a REAL Gladiator some day.. like, one from the 60s or 70s, when they were kind of a big deal in the truck market. "The Beautiful Brute", as Kaiser-Willys exclaimed, could do it all; equipped with a V8, an automatic transmission, 4WD, power brakes, power steering AND air conditioning, the (OG) Jeep Gladiator was first to offer all of these conveniences as factory options that weren't all available at the same time in each of the big 3's offerings... without looking like you had something to prove. Plus, they had some of the most crisp lines and design language that only the 60s could bring us. Definitely sharp looking. P.S. You should totally review a train. It only makes sense!

@@1598hi I wholeheartedly agree. Probably the best modern Jeep I had was a 98 Cherokee that I got up to almost 300,000 before having to trade it in.. next owner drove it everywhere 4 more years, so who knows how many miles it had on it. Later I had an 01 Grand (all my Jeeps exclusively have inline 6s) that had around 250 when I sold it, and the guy that bought it off me is still driving it 6 years later! This new stuff is very whelming. Like, it’s literally nothing I’d ever write home about, and my newest vehicle is a 4Runner because it’s closer to how Jeep used to be, and that’s what I want: stone cold reliable for many years and miles and easy to maintain.
