I bet next year we will see extremely many of these on the Ring. Awesome car for the money.
Most impressive part for me is from 2:12 when the driver is shifting into 6th gear and holding throttle before and after reaching the top of Schwedenkreuz taking the apex with 188 km/h. That's freaking fast for such a little car and great driving skills!

@@grantorino9049 it's not a 1.6 CVVT, that engine only had like 80-ish kW. i20N has 1.6 Smartstream T-GDI with CVVD.
Just drove one of these yesterday. Absolute beast of a car. Can’t wait to drive it again

chasing, hunting down and overtaking decent porsches and bmws is well done...excellent driving skills and the i20N is surprisingly impressive
Hay cientos de videos con coches más rápidos en Nurburgring pero éste es especial, es la perfecta armonía entre el piloto y la máquina. Gracias por compartirlo con todos. Podías haber conseguido aún mejor tiempo si el Fiesta ST blanco del final no hubiera sido un obstáculo. Wow.❤ Quizás 8'13.

Excellent calm symbiose between driver and vehicle, even via screen I20N felts super fuss-free, just like on another commuting.

201ch moteur 1,6L turbo et différentiel à glissement limité mécanique à l'avant. Nous ont à pas accès à cette voiture au Canada, par contre moi début d'année prochaine je vais avoir une Elantra N auquel vous n'avez pas accès. L'Elantra N possède un moteur 2,0L turbo de 276ch et un différentiel à glissement limité électronique cependant. Mais oui cette i20N à l'air vraiment pas mal

1.6ltr turbo engine much lighter than the i30n and man it can rev for a turbo car. Great stuff. Imagine when the aftetmarket scene kicks in years later for this car platform.

@@instagib5085The standard spec for i20Ns differ country to country. The German spec is really low, same as the Se Connect but with more power

@@travis8665 Not necessarily, some of those old Porsches don't stand a chance against newer, lighter, nippier hot hatches around a track. you can see in the video that the more modern Porsches came past. I own one of these little pocket rockets, and they're wicked to drive.

Je me suis fait la même réflexion, les suspensions sont pas mal du tout, elle n’a pas l’air de sous-virer, vraiment impressionnant. Le moteur serait un poil plus expressif en haut et cela serait parfait. Une découverte pour moi cette i20N.

@@ndhkroatien999 You can also flick it using weight transfer. But if you drive it properly it is very stable, much more stable than an ST (which makes it faster).
is that water temp hitting 108 to 110c?

Looks like a good hot hatch the i20N, seem to be a little weak at the top end, but I'm sure a stage 1 or 2 map can release mush more power then from factory, going to be better for tuning then the Mk8 Fiesta ST as the i20N is a 4Pot, like it.

C'est qu'elle m'a l'air très efficace cette i20N, très stable, moins fun et joueuse que sa concurrente la fiesta St j'ai l'impression... A confirmer sur les comparatifs, mais au moins la petite Ford à trouver à qui causer dans sa catégorie de + en + désertée donc c'est cool, merci Hyundai ✅

Oui elle semble beaucoup moins piegeuse et délicate à haute vitesse qu'une Alpine ! C'est une auto très bien équilibrée avec les quatre roues bien aux 4 coins de la caisse ( peu de porte à faux avant)

The clutch travel is quite short, you only need to push a bit to get the next gear in smoothly.

@@grantorino9049 it's not math, that's how it generally works. Difference is only straight road so handling doesn't matter there and powerwise they're pretty much same.

Guess you never got an answer to this. I got my own i20N earlier this year and am looking exactly for a setup like this. Have you found something for this?
How do you mount on the camera?
It's flawed ergonomically, though. The gearshift lever is positioned some 9-10 cm backwards from ideal. But what a chassis!

Stable, good brakes? Engine seems little bit weak in higher revs.

U can mount the 340mm i30N brakes (pre facelift) , they fit. We tried in our Workshop 👌 stock Brake front is from i40 2.0L Diesel. Should be enough for daily usage

Its a pity, that this i20n didn't have a semi slick tires :C
