I can't thank you enough I actually had a huge number of pictures, and I couldn't move them in any way, until I found your simple way, and it only took me an hour to transfer. You really are a lifesaver.

Will this work if I have around 500gb of photos and 256gb MacBook? Anyway I can put everything in my external HD?

so I've been seeing comments recently telling me to remove one of the 10 rainbow flags I have hanging on my walls. well let me tell you I go by they them on Mondays and Wednesdays and the rest of the days I am non binary and I've been like that my entire life. my parents have shut me out for it which is why I suffer from depression and anxiety now and if you guys don't like me for the same reason then the door is right behind you to go ahead and unfollow me, block me restrict me whatever because clearly anyone who thinks that does not appreciate and does not deserve to engage with members of the LGBTQ community.

You are lifesaver. All articles just point us towards downloading an app . Not one I could find any other video helping a user to go by with the existing setup. Kudos!

Ovidiu, I too am left totally frustrated by an Apple iPhone 12, because you can't do even the simplest tasks. We are just trying to save a photo (we received in an email) to the Apple 'Photo' app. As far as I can tell, it can't be done! We have spent literally an hour on this- trying every which way on the phone, and I notice the iPhone 12 is riddled with inconsistencies and misnomers. Options you need will not even be presented to the user, they are too often hiding behind unrelated options, which of course, is the last place someone will look when searching for the answer. I believe we are actually watching the death of Apple- it's a ship run up on the rocks as inexplicably as TV cable companies did with their business, they inexplicably decided at some point they would charge 4x too much while offering incredibly awful content. There is no focus at Apple on ease of use, and the Apple 'ecosystem' has grown far too complex and unmanageable- and the fault lies squarely with Apple. I'm left with anger- fully internalized anger- and I will never buy an Apple product again. I need a new laptop computer at the moment, and I am confident that a quality PC will provide a better experience.

Thanks for this tutorial. I was at full capacity and Apple wanted me to upgrade my storage to the $9 a month. I believe thats why they make it so difficult to do this so we can pay for the extra storage.

WOW, that was so much better than air dropping. I am an artist and create time lapse videos of my art process, so some videos are pretty long. Air Drop was always taking so long. This was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the video. :)

hey Rob, hence you have experience with Airdrop. If i transfer the same way as this youtube video, does it lose quality? like how do i keep the quality of the photo if i transfer to Mac VIA Photo? or AirDrop is the only method that keeps the highest quality?

@@badenbrarrar you will not lose quality in your photos by air dropping. Either method should be fine.

ok, but how do I get my photos that I've put into albums on my Photos app on my MacBook Air back into my phone in the folders, ever since iTunes disappeared I am stumped

Good video thanks. For future reference it would be nice if it was explained what the selected setting ("keep originals") actually does. I would feel more comfortable following the tutorial knowing what those selected settings do instead of trusting that someone else's preferences will match my own.

Finally a very short, precise, and descriptive video that worked for me the first time. I have a Seagate ultra slim hard drive and the usb cord keeps shutting off because its not enough power. Thanks for showing us that Image capture. All I wanted to do was take photos off an old phone to sell it but it wasn't popping up on finder. All the videos I watched didn't pick up on imagine capture as an easy way to get all your photos. Some vids just need some simplicity, thanks for that.
