    Just upgraded from my Civic to the new Accord Hybrid EX-L and this review is spot on. This car feels like a luxury car. I didn't think I would ever own an Accord but I absolutely love it. It really does ride incredibly. This car looks the best in black with the black leather, which is why I got it. I don't know why people think this car doesn't look good. It has the best looking Honda exterior in my opinion. It's worth a look if you're shopping for a hybrid sedan.

    How do you like it still after a year or so of ownership? Since they took away the 2.0T i was looking at getting the hybrid but this just looks soooo slow in the video. And I mean i drove a 1.5T … what words of wisdom do you have? Things you don’t like about the car?? Thanks!

    @@bkhavityoway23I know this is a year late and I don’t necessarily drive a hybrid but I have a 2016 Accord LX with the 2.4L and CVT and by all means it’s not slow it’s less hp at 185 hp but it’s plenty for a daily commuter and quite honestly 212 combined hp is more than enough for daily driving. I’d like to get a hybrid like this eventually if I replaced and upgraded from my current Accord which would be a pretty massive upgrade for me if I did get one.

    Got the heated steering wheel for my 2019 EX-L 2.0 T as an accessory (installed by the dealer). Worth every penny. Also got the Sport Grille accessory since I didn’t like the Unibrow. Makes a big difference in the front end. Honda built an amazing car...

    Always found it weird that these supposedly "green" cars come equipped with low profile tires that reduce fuel economy and make ride comfort terrible. But I guess that's what buyers want? Weird. I will say, though, that Honda deserves credit for not using gloss/piano black plastic in this interior. Thank goodness for that.

    Agree but it depends.. what if all cars are hybrid? Would you then want a 19” ? What Honda is really doing here is decreasing the price gap between regular and hybrid(1500-1700$)

    @VSV659

    Honda has built 2 totally different Accord hybrids targeting different customer segments - all the hybrids up to the EX-L target the eco-conscious and the mainstream segment. The Touring segment with its 19 inch tires and other options seems to position the car against a vague near-luxury segment that cannibalizes the Acura RLX hybrid, though that came with AWD, and the Lexus ES250 hybrid. With its choppier ride, it is going to lose out in that segment. The EX-L hybrid would be a better car to buy

    Slight correction, there is no eCVT, it's just that most people don't understand how the car works, the main electric engine is linked straight to the wheels like in a tesla and that electric motor is the main drive of the car, the gas engine in most situations only runs like a generator to charge the batteries and get the electric engine going, only after 45mph and only if the car "needs"it does the gas engine run in parallel with the electric to power the car. This car is has absolutely no gears or transmission to fail.

Really wish Honda would step it up a notch and release an accord type R

    Perhaps I'm letting a little bit of my Honda bias show here, but this iMMD hybrid system is so underrated. As stupid as it sounds, it's essentially a gas powered EV that can do direct drive from the gas engine in certain situations. You get great EV traits such as smooth and linear acceleration, as well as fantastically accurate throttle response. Then there's the ICE benefits of not dealing with charging shenanigans. Just pull up to a pump, top it off, and away you go. It's so relaxing to drive. I recently drove an 8 speed LS460 and genuinely preferred my cars powertrain. The only issue I have is the typically four cylinder NVH issues, and even those are relatively minimal. A V6 based version of this drivetrain would phenomenal in an Acura product.

    The center console door not always opening has been a problem in Accords for decades. My first car was a 2005 Accord, and the door didn't open about 30% of the time I tried. I had a friend who had a 2015 Accord, and they had the same problem. I just bought a 2021 Accord, and while it's better than my old car, it still surprisingly doesn't open sometimes. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but the more reviews I watch, the more I think the design Honda uses is just broken for some reason.

    I think that's the 19" wheels adding to that. I have a 2019 Hybrid Accord Touring with the 17's and barely hear the road. Especially compared to the Accord Coupe with 19" I came from and had driven for 11 years. The new Accords are much quieter.
