2021 Ford Escape Titanium Review - Walk Around and Test Drive

2021 Ford Escape Titanium Review.
Ford has been going through a lot of changes over the years, adding the Bronco and Bronco Sport, and replacing all cars with the crossovers. The 2021 Ford Escape is here to bring practicality, efficiency, and fun driving dynamics to the compact crossover segment, but can it outcompete the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, or Mazda CX-5? Let's find out!
Huge thank you to Acton Ford for providing the 2021 Ford Escape Titanium for this review!

Your video was in depth and easy to listen to, watch and most importantly to learn about. I enjoyed this very much, and now I will test drive one. Thank you so much for your channel.

Good review, thanks! There *were* turn signal mirrors in 2020. Ford cost-cut them away for 2021. Not available at all on any Escape. So the US Escape mirrors have no turn signals, no approach lamps, and no power-folding option. ALL of those features are available in Mexico, even on lower trims, as well as a pair of rear-seat release handles in the liftgate area. In fact, there's no rear-seat heat option and no front-seat cooling option. Both of those are available on the Equinox. That's embarrassing. And the Kuga (the Escape outside North America) has three different front ends, plus ST and "Vignale" trims that we can't get here. Stop the cost-cutting, Ford. You're cost-cutting *customers* away. And the sales figures prove it.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan at all of any of the designs and appearances of the new lineups, I do like thier digital dash and some of the components interior, but as an individual I'm just not pulled to the new lineups.. Atleast as of yet, I liked some of their prior looks as I felt they were more sportier. Otherwise great review and insight, thanks for the overview!

I am down to the escape (turbo). SEl or titanium, mazda cx-5 reserve turbo, or a nissan frontier. Each has merits.

How is the quality? Is the 2.0 4Cylinder engine reliable or a nightmare? How sad is this car?

My work requires me to drive all the time. How comfortable are the seats? Do they have lumbar support, are they heated? Great video.

I'm a baker with back and hand pain and never understood how much I needed heated seat and steering wheel after a shift. The seat shape wasn't immediately comfortable during the test drive and the salesfolk agreed that people mention that issue but once I got adjusted to it, it felt great

Good review, as usual. Keep it up! One point tho…how do you define “european looks”?

  • @sjb2471

Well it was primarily designed and styled, and almost fully engineered in Europe, just like Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo (Fusion), C-Max etc. It shares visual design elements with those cars…along with some other Europeans like Aston Martin and Porsche SUVs, cheekily! It’s a pity the US doesn’t get the European version, especially the ST-Line and Vignale trims - it’s called Kuga in those markets - check out Ford’s UK or Australian websites to see them - the European made model is finished A LOT better in terms of materials and fit and finish, and has more features (weird little features were left off the US market vehicle, like remote flip down rear seats, fully carpeted cargo are, flat-bottomed steering wheel etc)

The Titanium comes standard with a 2 liter turbo 4. The 1.5L 3 cylinder is standard for the S, SE, and SEL with the option to upgrade to the turbo 4 for the SEL
