Excellent review, thank you!
I really like the simple lines of VW's SUVs. Thanks for the nice review!

Same. Some people call it boring. To me I’m sick of the crazy over styled designs coming from other manufactures. This will still look good 10 years from now while the others will be outdated because they put in a lot of design fads.

Hey Gold Pony I have a new (and much smaller than yours) car review channel, I was wondering if you had any tips for getting cars from dealers? I havent had an issue getting cars from GM, Ford, Hyundai, or Nissan dealers but others, especially VW seem tougher. I know its probably a regional thing, but do you have any tips for a smaller channel? Great video!
awesome content

You mentioned you were going to talk about what features are new for 2020... I don't recall hearing anything highlighted as new for 2020

Sounds like the same features we've had in Europe for years (the US too?)
Looks a lil better than its brother the Atlas. but can i get a Reliable Edition?
This is review I'm looking for. Can't stand the halogens and Fake exhaust tips. The hands free tailgate on only the SEL premium r-line is a bummer. Does the SEL have electronic folding side mirrors?
My 2018 Tiguan was the biggest nightmare. At 9k miles it had been to the dealer 10+ times (a couple major failures in that mix too). Now own a 2019 Santa Fe and 30k miles trouble free. I do miss how it looked though

Damn I’m sorry you had all that trouble and had to trade it in. The Santa Fe is supposedly really good. I have a 2029 Tiguan SE. I’ve take it to California and back to my hoe in California. It’s been trouble free so far but I just turned 14,000 miles. I hope to have a trouble free ownership experience for the next 5 years. I like it a lot. I’m glad you like your Santa Fe. I thought of getting a Kia Sorrento next time around
Just a quick question is the bmw 3 series m sport better tan the tigaun can’t decide I could use ur help
I’m looking at this and the Toyota rav 4 I don’t know which one is better... especially when it comes to maintenance and paying for repairs in the future
@riaxchiara

I’m doing the same! The Tiguan is super nice and sleek but a lot of people are saying they can be endless money holes, plus they won’t last as long as Toyota’s do! I love the look of the Tiguan I just wish they would do better with their reliability
9:03 - fake chrome exhaust tips, actually. You can clearly see the steel exhaust pipes pointed towards the ground.
What is better value and drive experience
My wife got rid of her 2018 in less than a year. The transmission was why. 1st to 2nd gear had the dredded VW delay not to mention after the 9th recall it was time to go. Buy a VW for looks not if you care about reliability.

Huge refinement and accompanying noise issue with DSG in Europe.....VW though are stating the issue is a ‘characteristic’.....a get out of jail free excuse for VW!

I own a 2019 with no problems and I haven’t had any recalls. I do know that all the manufacturers are doing recalls like crazy these days. I’m sorry you had all those issue. I only have 14,000 miles now and I’m super happy i selected it. But I will trade it in a heartbeat if it gives me any problems like you had.

666DW Volkswagen hasn’t offered DSG transmissions in North American Tiguans since 2018 when they offered the latest generation. Not sure what country you are in but we don’t get those.

Joshua Michael I’m in UK 🇬🇧 As your in USA VW only offer Aisin 8 speed auto gearbox due to past history of quality issues with DSG in the USA. I believe all US Tiguan’s are assembled in Mexico and are the 7 seater ‘allspace’ derivative? I have a BMW X1 x-drive 2.0i with the same Aisin gearbox, and although not perfect it is far better than DSG.
The optional third row seat in the Tiguan is no doubt a torture chamber for anyone other than a small child. But it's worth noting that the legroom in the third row, while cramped, is more than offered in Toyota Highlander. (27.9" vs 27.7")

No thanks they lowered their warrantee because their reputation for reliability lately has gotten really bad.
@stephenhendricks103
4 жыл бұрын
Nothing could be farther from the truth. They've reduced the warranty period/miles and compensated with 2 years of maintenance (a much better deal for consumers) in large part because VW no longer faces the same level of skepticism about their reliability as they did several years ago. And with good reason.

Stephen Hendricks I was just watching another video about cars that are unreliable and do not hold their value and this was one of them I don’t know who to believe but I am not buying another Volkswagen anyway the last one I had was a Volkswagen dasher diesel that was a great car until the motor blew up at about 60,000 miles and it never ran right after that.

Kwaminho yes it was a long time ago. It was a great vehicle until the timing belt broke and lunched the whole engine and I had to replace it after that it never ran right again the dealer just kept telling me the reason my gas mileage went from 56 miles to the gallon down to like 39 miles to the gallon was because the diesel needed to be broken and I dumped it I wasn’t gonna wait that long.
don't know why I watch these.. loves everything because they like to please the manufacturers and get paid to have these cars loaned to them

VW...the power plant is a joke!! 184 hp....?!?! More powerful engine options.
Might be a late comment, but the US Tiguan motor is a gutless joke. We really need the 300+ HP Tiguan.
