2020 Toyota Highlander Review | A Long Term Commitment

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We do a quick review from the launch of the brand new Toyota Highlander to see if they were able to make the necessary improvements to create a more accessible family SUV for the masses. With CUVs and SUVs from everyone, it's going to be difficult to make a choice. The Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot, Subaru, VW Atlas and Mazda CX9 are just a few that compete for money, which will you choose?

I've just test driven the 2021 gas version and it stll accelerates well (I have a 2014 Toyota Highlander V6) but it also still has a lot of torque steer. Tires have become narrower (235mm wide) compared to my 2014 Toyota Highlander (245mm wide)

The third row can be used with absolutely no compromise unlike crossovers, and you're still getting like 32 cubic feet of space with the third row, whereas crossovers are only giving you between roughly 10 and 20 cubic feet.

@@ZZZRaven65 "Grammar much?" Very much! "That "sentence" doesn't even make sense." Then it must be the grammar, after all you are the brightest of them of all as it seems. "My comment was relevant to the VIDEO..." BUT IRRELEVANT TO THE PRODUCT IN THE VIDEO. I hope you will see this time. "in that it was interesting and informative, regardless of the product." Without the product, you can't conclude this. Besides, they usually lift the product and make comments while checking the under carriage. Those who are familiar with this channel are familiar with the informative, we don't need you or half ass fake admiration notes to appreciat5e this channel. "I have nothing to gain by "brown nosing" Mark" Yes, you are. You are of those who would start disagreeing him when the product such as this one is a superior product and over European and Kourean products. And will give a false image of Mark, as if he has changed and lost his touch with reality and he can;t see the light anymore by not appreciating a crappy European product. This is a typical marketing strategy. Everyone knows that Japanese brands are superior in quality to others, especially European out of factory junk brands. If you can't make your product better then you can bad mouth the competition, either by lying about the product or lying about the promoter of the product. You are now at the stage to gain trust of Mark by buttering him so that when you lie about a TOYOTA - It is product for you, you want to be trusted for your lie to be accepted. "... just wanted to give him some positive feedback on the hard work he puts into these videos -" People who do that usually do this by mentioning the product as well. You have an ulterior motive. "that we get to watch for FREE." It is not him providing this video for free. It is KZread. If you are not aware actually his presentation was cut off with a few commercials. For me it is acceptable for this was a good review of a god product. "If you don't like it, feel free to not watch and move on." LOL! I don;t have nay problem with his videos LOL! My problem with idiots who does not appreciate a good product such as the one that is reviewed int his video. "No need to be a DICK." Nope! You are the DICK , not me. I simply stat the fact that your appreciation is a fake because you wouldn't put such appreciation remark under a video that was about a European car or a Kourean car, with complete disregard of the Product and focus on the reviewer and how admirable he is. Not everyone is willing to give in your (pl) marketing tactics. Get over it DICK!!!!

It's ugly and clunky by current standards, but I've rented many new cars with absolutely beautiful and highly responsive systems that are utterly infuriating to use (esp with voice commands), crash frequently, and will outright refuse to route to some addresses. I bought a Highlander in 2002 and drove it for 225k miles before it started having repair probs that I felt exceeded its value. I wish I’d kept it and repaired it. I feel like the Highlander is the sweet spot on size for usefulness and safety while was still reasonably fun in the twisties for a small suv. Comfort was great. If I had the funds, this 2020 seems like a great choice still. Agreed on the flat screen nonsense. This stuff won’t age well and the lack of ability for ease of aftermarket for head units is a turn off for me.

Savage geese love your videos, constantly sharing them with fellow car enthusiasts. Re watched your frs videos, do you think an Rx8 is a good buy if you keep up on the maintenance? What would you recommend that tickles frs fun to drive but doesn't leave you always wanting more? 6'4" miata is unfortunately out of the mix for me.

I'm up in the air on deciding between the 2020 Honda Passport Elite and the 2020 Highlander Platinum. I don't need the third row, but want something bigger than the Rav4. I really like the Passport as it's a bit sportier, seems roomier, but has problems with the infotainment system hanging, the dash cluster blanking out, etc. On the Highlander, the driver's seat height is not adjustable, which is a problem because my wife is only 4' 10". Would you suggest the Passport and hope that Honda finds a fix for the infotainment issues, or get the Highlander? Thx!
