I want one but if I'm going to speed 2k for a firearm it's going to be a rifle. Like a Arsenal AK, a PSL or a m14 or some sort of .308 AR10. I Could get new flooring for 2k. Idk I just can come to terms with dropping 2k on a pistol.

I’ve never heard it called the marshals series, but I also do like the looks of the older one and the grip. Although the 2020 p shoots nicer, by that I mean in tracks better. Shorter and more consistent return to point of aim. Also felt recoil is less, obviously with a longer barrel. Not sure if the new recoil system has anything to do with felt recoil though. My next ones the c2 you have. How’s the recoil between the two guns that you have?

Loved your video and review. Excellent! Thank you! Loved the fact that you went straight to the subject, no politics, no hot air, no stupid jokes, and no loud abrasive music. Just a minor correction for you: it's ambidextrous not ambidextrious. Otherwise, a great honest review. Think I might go ahead and get one. The Duo P, but I will go with the Dawson Precision optics for the simple reason that it fits on the frame WITHOUT needing a plate, so that would have alleviated the issue you mentioned, though by far, my favorite red dot is the Trijicon SRO and I have it on all my Pro guns. Thanks again!

I say give it a shot. My astigmatism makes a dot look a little like a shrimp 🦐, but it’s not a precision weapon, it’s a pistol lol. Since even at 25 yards a 3moa dot covers ~1inch of target it’s a non issue. You also find in use, outside under the sun ugly astigmatism dots clean up a bit.

I have an STI DVC 3Gun. I had to send it back to the factory to have them fix a few issues. Sucks it happened and its worse that I hear it from other people. However, the customer service was amazing and the gun has run flawlessly since. The issues were; gritty trigger, a "lip" in the magazine well, and the big problem the magazine not falling out or going in all the way without extreme force (if that makes sense).

Great review. I've been looking at these online for some time and just might get one after seeing your review. I have to rely on reviews like yours because STI has eliminated many of their dealers including the one near me, so I can't actually handle one. However, I have an STI DVC 3Gun and it's an awesome piece, so I expect the Stacatto P Duo will be a great firearm as well. I've also heard that STI has been acquired by another company and may actually change its name to Stacatto. I guess that doesn't matter as long as quality doesn't suffer. Now if we can only get 9mm ammo again...

I did ended up buying one. Fantastic pistol. Mounted an RMR06 on it. Smooth as butter and runs like a Swiss watch! Just the right amount of heft to help keep the muzzle down. 250 rounds through it so far without a problem. Nice crisp trigger pulls at 4.4 lbs on my scale. Nothing to complain about. Well maybe the price, but I have 1911's that cost more than the Staccato. An interesting factoid is that the MBX mags I bought for the DVC also work in the Staccato. The factory mags aren't interchangeable but the MBX's are.

Did you replace the plate on the tan surefire for the 1911 rail....I believe they come with the Glock style rail insert from factory. I have both styles on several of my STI’s and always replace the insert with the 1911 insert and it slides on just fine.

  • @kspeacekeeper7894

Brad Yes sir it has the pic plate not the universal. The problem was the overall width. It was too narrow (surefire rail) to slide onto the STI rail. That is until I loosened the surefire’s rail. I have been looking at this for duty carry. Like a lot folks comments, test firing is not an option. Maybe this is stupid question but what is the difference between the Staccato P and the Staccato P DOU. Besides the price of course. Currently we are not allowed to use a RMR so I planned on going with Staccato P. But if that changes in the near future can I install an RMR at a later time. Or do you think I should just go for the DOU out front and pull the arm RMR off. Currently I carry Sig 1911 extreme, but looking for more rounds . After recently attending a vehicle CQB course reloads were killing me.... literally! I've decided that 21 rounds vs. A max of ten may save my life or buy me extra time when it counts.. again if you can explain the difference between the model P and the model P DOU in layman's terms it would be much appreciated.

The Golf Life Unfortunately right now “Best price” is kind of hard to say. For one it is a relatively new firearm, two it is somewhat in demand, and three atleast around here and places I’ve seen online due to COVID and some panic buying most firearms are bringing more than pre COVID. I don’t like paying retail for anything. I would hold out awhile (I haven’t bought any firearms or ammo since this COVID thing started). STI/Staccato has a hero program if you qualify for that I would see about going that route. So long story to your question, I’d hang on rather than buy one now unless someone had a used one they were trying to sell for a reasonable price.

Xavier D My only thought would be the weight. Size wise, sounds like concealing it wouldn’t be an issue. For me personally the majority of the time I would prefer concealing a firearm with less weight atleast for extended periods of time. Could I conceal carry this, yes, but for me there are better options but I can’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t carry.

snowman03gt No I’m good with it now, but I was bummed out when I went to pick it up. I really liked the shorter barrel and tree bark grip of the 2019 version. The more I shoot this thing, the more I like it though.
