Picked up my Staccato P yesterday. Your vid is a very good "walkaround" of this gun. I found the molding on the grip to be a little less smooth than on my Staccato C. The low end of the back of the grip dug into my palm, but a little light sanding removed it. The right side of the grip, near the bottom of the trigger guard was likewise rough; again a little sanding took care of it. I used the overboard method of breaking in my Staccato C: 150 rounds, field strip, clean and lube; another 150 repeat strip, clean and lube; 200 rounds, strip, clean and lube. I have 4600+ rounds of 115, 124, 147 FMJ and JHP through the C without any failures! I also appreciate your later holster vid, but for the present time the IWB holster that came with the C fits the P nicely. Likewise, I can't wait to get to the range. Stay safe and healthy all.

That recoil system has been around for awhile. I put one in my Springfield Armory TRP Operator years ago. It's a Dawson Tool-Less Guide Rod; and they made them for several firearms.

Nice pistol. I just bought it's little brother last week. I bought the Staccato C2. But I really like the Staccato P as well and I just may get that one next. The C2 I have is very high quality, and the fit and finish is perfect. I really like the way it feels in my hand and it shoots great. So I imagine that the Staccato P is going to be the same. It's on my "buy next" list.

My Staccato P became my favorite gun after only 2 mags. Unbelievable gun. Incredibly accurate and soft shooting and it’s been 100% reliable with fmj and hollow points so far. I’m only at about 500 rounds but it’s looking great so far.

Keanon Gilliam Don’t be too jealous. I did all my shooting before the pandemic broke out. We are shut down here too. I’m in a similar spot as you, as well. I picked up a Staccato C after enjoying the P so much and it was right before everything shut down so it’s sitting in my safe unfired. Lol.

I was patiently waiting for the DWX, Guess Dan Wesson wants to keep it's release a Secret. That's ok I brought my New Staccato P home today! Think I'll be passing on the DWX now!

I have this and love it. didn't go through al the comments so i don't know if this is a repeat but, the target is shot from 4 yards and is a function test only. I got that info from a guy at STI.

As a Duty/Home defense 9mm pistol, which one would you recommend? Dan Wesson 1911, Staccato, other 2011’s? Thanks! Great videos!

That is almost exactly what I'm saving for now. I'm actually going to go for the Staccatto P Duo which as you said, has the cutout for an optic. I love these pistols, but I'm afraid they're covered in crack. LOL Congrats on that new super Delicious pistol!!

They definitely are covered in crack. Beautiful guns. I’ve only held one in my hand and it fit perfectly. I’d love to shoot one.

I love STI pistols. This one is very nice but the one I am going for is the XC congrats.

I must tell you my Springfield emp 4 inch does shoot about same groups sizes at all distances . But sti is lighter, and couple of rounds less in the magazines. Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy K

Keanon Gilliam Sti is one of the best 2011 manufacturers, I have shot the Bul viper just recently which is amazing , it has a comp and shoots flat but they are at the price of a Wilson combat Edc I like to stick to American base companies for service and value .

I got my 2020 Staccato P DUO a while back and must say...IT’S AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I added an RMR and Surefire X300U, as well as a Magwell from Dawson Precision. What a beautiful beast!!

@SinisterCadillac fits perfect. It’s made for the new grip and I use both 17 and 20 round mags with no problem.

Why is it molded though not milled ? I dont understand for the price ?

My impressions: First 150 rounds. Ran flawless with very nice reset. Duty trigger pull weight of 4.5 lbs is heavier than I like. Caused me to shoot 2" low and 2" left. I'l compensate with sight adjustment and hope after more rounds it will lighten a bit. 3-3.5 lb pull would be perfect for me. Overall very nice shooting and fast. Grip isn't as good in my hand as my CZ's but i'll get use to it. Happy with my purchase.......

@@George-nx5lo It's fine for a duty trigger. To say I know nothing because I like a lighter trigger than you might show who knows nothing. You might think Glocks are the best pistol on the planet, I don't. Could be you're not use to using a really good trigger? And I never said it affected accuracy, I said it caused me to pull low left. Yes I can adjust my grip and sights to how I shoot. Never said the group was bad but you seem think I said a lot more than I did?

C Kim I’m a 3 gun champion and have used every trigger out there. A standard mil spec single action ar trigger is over double 4lbs. A 4lb single action trigger is very lite. My long range rifles are measured in ounces. 4lbs is a competition trigger weight and by no means duty at all. NYPD duty trigger is 11lbs. Glocks are just as accurate as my staccatos btw

C2 16 rounds and 17 mags . The c is single stack 8 rounds it’s confusing with 2 models . I have the c single stack pistol accuracy and reliable, you get what you pay for .K

4 years later are you still happy with the Staccato?

I just dont like the adjustable sights. Is it just me. Sticato needs a different option, a few more. For that much money maybe yeah.

Is it steel or aluminum frame wtf give me the stuff I got questions about are the aluminum smoother function or the steel???

@dave g The trigger guard durable polymer is made into the grip module, so it's all one piece. It's a proven design for years, so you shouldn't worry. Everything else is steal.

I want one! Where do you recommend I start looking for the best price? I’m hesitant to get it because of the polymer but I think I’d appreciate the light weight. Is the slide riding on Metal or polymer?

@The Golf Life Firearms like Glock, M & P etc all have a steel slide that ride on a polymer receiver. You won't have a problem. The receivers (some) have some type of metal on the rails depending upon manufacturer. Best pricing, you really have to shop around online to have sent to a FFL. Sights like Gunbroker etc or order from you FFL who may use several distributors. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!

@Drew Stillwell I know some people are going back to the tree bark type grip. Still sold by Staccato and another manufacturer. I don't have an issue with these grips though.
