Great review, the best I've seen so far! Comprehensive, frank, sincere and very honest, seen from and empathizing with a lay buyer's perspective! And not from a pedestal or high horse as most established auto hacks have, almost damning this brilliantly conceived product from Nissan, that threatens to disrupt this uber-focussed segment and wreck the sleep of the Koreans who've been ripping off customers' wallets! Just wish the CVT had a tiptronic variant, and paddle shifters too, to take this a notch higher! Here's also hoping Nissan gets their act on market presence and after-sales support corrected at the earliest, as well as the initial pre-production road test prototype niggles that have been ranted about from seemingly prejudiced quarters.

welcome sir.. planning to buy the magnite. Need advice in this regard... 1)Sir how's the high speed stability of the vehicle... What's the maximum speed at which the vehicle would still be stable? 2)can we change to wider section tyres to 215 from current from existing 195 tyres without altering the mechanics of the vehicle and will there be any issues with the warranty if we change the tyres?

Yes, the car does feel light when on high speeds and in corners. That is also because of the steering feel. Let's wait for the official crash test reports to comment on the build quality.

@@20402928 Well, the Creta is a far more superior product in comparison. A full segment above. The Creta will be a more mature car and should age well, and with better resale. If the primary objective is to save the money, then the Magnite makes sense. For everything else, the Creta is better.

Your reviews are simply the best way a common man could understand. You justifies the riding aesthetics compared to a vehicles budget very nicely. I mean it would be high injustice if we compare ride qualities of a 9 to 10 lakh car with a 14 to 15 lakh car like Sonet or Venue. I will surely buy this compact SUV next year once I recover from a real bad accident that almost costed my life. Thanks bro :)

I was waiting for this car. What do you think EcoSport Diesel, Scross Zeta, Sonet HTE Diesel, Nexon XZ Diesel vs MAgnite XV petrol for comparison. I will be having 1500 km average travel per month. 2-3 traveller and occasional 5 passenger's for commute. Importance to safety, maintenance cost, reliability and I plan to use for 7 years.

Great review and I must say this car is a Beast! I am talking about the CVT Turbo version. I own one and love it and feel the drive is the best in segment. Will definitely recommend the Magnite to anyone looking for a comfortable, powerful and smooth drive.

Even I have exactly same requirement , but only worry about jazz is ground clearance , right outside my apartment in Bangalore there is huge hump every time a jazz or any Honda cars pass it scratches on bump unless until u make very slow move. Other thing is Jazz doesn't have traction control and hill hold , if you are first time driver then roads with steep ups and downs will be challenging in Jazz

Is the fit and finish acceptable? Considering the huge difference in pricing , should I go for Duster CVT Or Sonet AT or Nissan CVT since my r monthly run is very less ( average 250 kms per month, that too 60 pet cent in the City)

If the car use is not much, it is always a sensible choice to spend less on it. So in this case, the Magnite CVT would be the most affordable.

Hi! All points are as per experience at the very moment. Suspension wasn't uncomfortably stiff. It was OK for the class. May be the tyre pressure was a bit off on other cars? Few of us had no problem with the suspension tune at all.

Wow seems hyundai is doing a better job with it's steerings . I am confused . Could u help me out? I need a car mostly for city purpose . Performance is important so is city driving convince and if it rides and handles well and also can be used for occasion hill trips . I like the i10 nios turbo sportz but it's a manual . And the magnite because of it's pricing we can get if we pay a bit more and also convenience of a cvt . Also like the figo seems like they are bringing the petrol torque converter soon and the figo has excellent driving dynamics that i know off . So should i wait some more time ? Are even better hatchbacks comin or choose from one of the above?

Jo bhi yeh car lene ki soch rahe ho keep in mind ki cost low rakhne ke liye Nissan ne quality se compromise kiya hai so after a couple of thousand kilometers yeh Maruti ki tarah bajne lagegi. So, if you are ready to deal with rattling noises tabhi consider karein.

I hate stiff rally based suspension for family cars.. these days except nissan every other car manufacturers make stiff crazy hard suspension for driving dynamics compromising on comfort.. make something which is balanced ..
