Is it just me or does the front of the GLS63 look much much better than the 580. This car looks like the evolution of the old GLS. The 63 AMG is just pure baller.

To me the 63 has a more in your face aggressive style. The 580 is more elegant and classy

Man I am late reply but it's considered cheap where I am especially it being a brand new GLS. It would cost you at least $400k here just for the base price of the car..

this SUV starts at 100k, and fun fact, when its options are maxed, it costs below 125k(about 120k)

Yes, the flatter face of the G Class leads to a bit more wind noise

So overall from what I am seeing is the AMG vs the GLS 580 is the AMG is louder when it comes to exhaust and has more horsepower. To me, if I could afford to spend $150K, why not buy the AMG 63 GT instead. To me the GLS 580 seems like you get comfort, power, not as much horsepower as the AMG but still very powerful and fast. So I think this is worth the $100k considering the Cadillac Escalade and some of the other larger suv's are right up there in price. But, not as much horsepower as the GLS 580. Great video.

You summed it up pretty well. I will say that the GLS 63 is much more entertaining to drive than the 580, so if you have a family and need the third row, but want to have fun, the 63 is a great option

Love the look of the wood, but they’ve got to make that leather look better, like with the stitching in the BMW X7 or the Navigator Black Label. If I’m going to pay 120k for a vehicle, I’d prefer not to have the leather look like it came out of the Honda Pilot.

I believe that you can upgrade to a higher quality leather. Agree with you that this leather looks too cheap for this kind of luxury vehicle.

the GLS580 starts at 100k, and if you want better leather, you can upgrade it, it will still cost below 120k. Full option of this car is about 120k

So what we’re all wondering. Is the GLS63 worth the extra money compared to this one?

I think so. For the extra money, the GLS 63 is a do-it-all solution. It’s exciting to drive, swift in corners, and yet every bit as comfortable and luxurious as the 580

Wel there is a huge difrence in price of the 2 but performance wise its little on paper 📃 i guess ..except for the noise .. 0 to 60 4.3s gls vs 5.2 on the 580 Both hav similar top speed
