Husqvarna 350s seem to be more popular now than KTMs. When I got my 17, it was usually the only Husqvarna 350 on DS rides with over one hundred riders. Now they’re popping up often. An old friend that won multiple 125 SX races, now races a Husqvarna 350 against the 450 at the Sunday SX next day events and holeshots and still has his winning ways. Smart choice.

In 2020 HSQ separated the 350 into the fe350 and fe350s. The s comes street legal from the factory with CARB compliant stuff on it. I bought the non-S because we don’t plan on doing much (if any) street riding or dual sporting.

Project Millennial Falcon The FE 350 has the same carb stuff. Where it differs is in the ECU mapping, map switch that aren’t available on the S model. Also dropping the additional lights, brackets and wiring eliminates 8 pounds. So yeah, if your not in need of a California plate, it’s better to go with it. Now if you decide to eliminate the carb stuff, you’ll save a couple more pounds but it won’t gain any power. If you’re interested in an racetrack smog elimination kit, I can point you in the right direction.

I just picked up my 2020 FE 350 today and the shop forgot (I'm giving them the benefit of doubt here) to give me the owners manual so this video was very helpful, thanks.

I’d highly recommend ordering the service manual disk. Got mine at RMATVMC for under $25 And yes, your bike should have been delivered with a nice owners manual in a binder with spare fuel filters and a few other things.

Yes, I've let the shop know I'm not overly happy about the "oversight" and expect them to get me a manual ASAP. Question - how do you turn on the headlight?

I would lay the bike on it's side before removing filter cover, as manual states. Less messy since there really isn't any oil in there. Just enough to dribble down the side and make a mess

Good call! My aftermarket plate is more "fun" to remove (or maybe it's user error), so I'm definately taking this advice to avoid burn city.

The hand guards are acerbis x-factor. I don’t have a fender eliminator, stock fe350, not the fe350s (which comes street legal).

I am wondering: I want to buy an fe 350 and use it 90% in the city and then maybe go through the woods on the weekend. Do you think I still need to pay attention to the 10-15 hrs oil change interval or this only meant for heavy enduro action? for cruising it seems a bit crazy to me. thanks :)

I have an FE 350 and you definitely need to stick to the 10-15 hrs oil change interval. That is if you want to take good care of it

Chelsea is 5'6 and about 140lbs with a 29" inseam. We used the 30mm zeta internal lowering kit for the fork and shock, re-sprung for her weight, paired with a 15mm lower seat and it made a huge difference. She use to tip over all the time if she didn't perfectly plan where to stop, now she almost never tips over. I'm a firm believer that the most important modification to a bike is a properly set up suspension. the zeta kit is the best way to lower a bike without compromising handling.

I' m 5'5 and with a 29-30 inseam. I haven't lowered the bike. As long as you can reach with a foot on one side you're good to go. The bike is very light and not intimidating at all.
