I recently bought the 2020 Genesis G70 and her name is "Ruby" which matches her red color. I love this car, its sporty, yet luxurious and drives so well.

I'm sooo in love with my Genesis G70. After one year of ownership and over 30,000 miles, Damn! It's a vehicle that fits all of my moods. When I wanna be bad, sport mode Everyday commute, comfort mode Adventurous smart mode I'm never conservative, so forget Eco mode. There's not another car like it !

Yes I love my new baby !! I am a Lexus owner several times and changing over a bit I was worried but now I’m totally impressed!!

I just picked up a 2020 G70 Sport, 3.3T AWD...it’s an amazing vehicle..gorgeous..powerful..love it!!😎💪🏻

I own a 2019 Genesis G70. Yes the Kia Stinger Gt has the same powertrain. For me it came down to needs. I bought mine April 2019. I already have over 23,000 miles on it. 96 % of the time, I'm in it alone. The other 4 %, with my wife. We also own 2006 Hyundai Tucson and 2012 Hyundai Azera (both bought brand new). If I/we need to haul large items, we can use the Hyundai Tucson. If I/we need to haul passengers, we have the Hyundai Azera. Since I don't need a bigger trunk or back seat, the Genesis G70 is perfect. Made just for fun. If this is going to be your only vehicle, you might want to check out the Kia Stinger.

As soon I saw the G70 , I knew it was going to be a hit. Hyundai/Genesis is playing ball with the big boys like Lexus/Infiniti/Acura did back in the '80s.

That new Kia optima aka K5 looks amazing too... Koreans are def going to take the market by storm as they are highly underestimated at the moment. Many, many haters

Exactly. It's always the same lame criticism. I'd rather take this over the competition. I test drove one and fell in love. Once Genesis gets the dealer network sorted out, they'll be unstoppable. That new G80...damn. They're on a roll.

Love this car test drive both models myself. Love how the backend likes to be playful. Just wish it had some more backseat room. Definately take this over a German car!

Was looking at this and the Stinger GT. Both amazing cars with a fantastic V6 engine. Ended up buying the Stinger because I love the sport back styling. But if Genesis decides to make a N version in the future, a M and AMG rival, I'll definitely be putting down a deposit on that G70.

Pony! I'm back man but I have to leave again on the 3rd brother. Keep doing your thing I will catch up as much as possible before uncle Sam comes to get me!

Love the G70 but this desperately needs the digital dash that they already use in other models in their lineup. Also wish they hadn’t changed the grille.

I like the analog gauges with screen in the middle better

With this year to about to end, I would like to see you do a top 10 of vehicles you liked and why? Would like to see what you think are your favorite vehicles.

Cracks me up to read people saying this car is too small. In 2007 I went from a BMW 740il to a Mini Cooper S. T he Mini is small. After 13 years with the Mini I just bought a 2019 G70, and it certainly feels large to me. It’s all about perspective. I also prefer the analog gauges, although the digital dashes that mimic analog gauges are nice; but that Genesis 3D dash shown is hideous.

Great car but good luck with the dealership experience. I was not impress when I visit a local Huyndai/Genesis dealer. It is going to be a long time until Genesis can achieve the level of service that other Luxury brand can provide.

If you think a latte is worth ten thousand dollars, boy are you rich! I had no problems. Soon Genesis will have there stand alone dealerships. How often do you really need to be in a dealership? Genesis will bring the vehicle to you to test drive, pick it up for service and leave you a loaner, that's included in the price. Will either BMW, Mercedes, or Audi come pick up your vehicle for service? Dealership that I purchased my Genesis G70 from, sent an uber to pick me up on delivery day. My choice. They would have brought it to me, but I wanted to drive the 50 miles home. Since my purchase, there is a dealership 10 minutes away.

Good review, the g70 is a compact sedan tho similar to the 3 series and c class, not midsize which includes the g80, 5 series and e- class

Great 4K exterior camera work, interior video angle cuts out instrument panel. Info pop up signs take up too much of window blocking dash. Worn Attire clashes with vehicle class.

It seems the G80 Sport price is about 3k more than G70 3.3T. Which do you prefer?

The G80 is much larger, quieter, and overall just more of what one would call a luxury cruiser. The G70 3.3T is really very small and feels much smaller in overall room. The trunk and backseat are very small which may be a big deal for some people. It really depends if you want performance or more room with a small amount of performance.

I own a 19 - 3.3 t sport.. Annoys me how the 2019 Hyundais such as the Palisade/sonata have a much nicer and updated interior. I know it's coming but from a product planning strategy... Would you not put the latest tech in your newly launched "luxury stand alone brand?"... 😡

It's more profitable to put high tech new designs in a brand that sells a much higher volume. Genesis brand is still fairly low sales figures compared to Hyuandai and Kia. So if technology attracts buyers and you as a manufacturer have to decide where to invest than the obvious choice would be the brand more people are buying. High volume selling low priced cars are far more profitable than low volume selling high priced cars.

At 2:09, you mentioned 17/26 MPG for the 4 cylinder. That has to be the worst fuel economy for 4 cylinders. I think your numbers are off.........

You're right that's the 3.3... the turbo 4cyl gets 28hwy... Not much of a difference really but I probably just said the wrong thing

Was really looking at this car but it’s really tight on the inside. Back seat room is ridiculously small. Ending up with an A4.

Back seat and the trunk are very small. But since I rarely have anybody in back and the dealer discounted my 3.3T greatly I went with it. Very fun car to drive. Performance compares very well with competitors ESPECIALLY given the price and potential discounting. Genesis is still relatively unknown so it's not difficult to get out the door with a good discount.

@@davidw4936 I've got $5K on my 2020 G70 3.3T AWD. But it was only one car available for this price. 2021 model did not offer such discount.

Nice video but the G70 is absolutely NOT a Midsize sedan, not at all.

Its a VERY compact car. Luxury Sport Compact.

The G70 comes with a can of shaving cream in lieu of a spare tire. So sorry Genesis, you lost me. I had a CTS with no spare tire and it left me stranded 5 or 6 in times due to no spare. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. No G70 in my future.
