I'm at 4.5 years 60K mile on my 2020 Prem-lux V6 AWD XT5. It's absolutely my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. I use it for 8 hour drives (California to Vegas) often, hot weather, cold, wind, snow. It handles all with ease. I've only had 1 issue that was quickly taken care of by my Cadillac dealer a cracked thermostat. I 100% recommend it.

My fiancé just got a Premium Luxury V6 last month. Got a great lease deal and the car is very, very nice!

Like the review - I am considering the XT4 and 5, but not happy wit a 4 turbo, the Subaru Ascent has a 4 Turbo (270 HP) and the top of the line can be bought for 45K or under, and its loaded. May not have the Cadillac ride tho.

LMAO, these sell extremely well in my area, tons and tons of Karens own these 😂I prefer the XT6.

He was funny on AOTS he should have never quit that show.

nice looking suv. pricing and quality (material wise) is not in line with other makes - may do better if its lowered. And the turbo engine - I'd prefer the 3.6 over it.

For some reason, I’m already thinking an older well off lady is driving one of these Cadillacs. Probably on her way to place that has a manager.

Never having compared actual specs, I would've compared this to the RDX and XT6 to the MDX. Am I missing something?

Personally I'm so fed up with turbo 4 cylinders. I'm tired of getting a smaller and smaller engine. Just give me a 6 and 8

Turbo 4s get better fuel economy though. And many manufacturers have 2.0 liter turbo 4s that have over 240 horsepower, which is enough for most cars.

It's sad. GM has some of the worst MCE. That's how you can tell they're going to are the car. Look at what they did to the Cruze and Impala

The XT5 straddles the line between being a compact & a midsize crossover

I purchased my first house for 60k. This refreshed XT5 can be had fully loaded for $69k and lose 25-30k in its first year. What a world we live in.

Cadillac sells good cars at great car prices.

Same side view mirrors on the XT4, XT5, XT6, Camaro, Blazer, etc. Also, I adore how Cadillac is using primarily analog gauges in a class where almost every other luxury brand is, well, not. Nothing like spending the money on Cadillac that offers you little that a Mazda doesn’t improve on for thousands less.

Great review Micah; the XT5 doesn't offer anything over other GM products to justify the price tag. Not impressed with the interior at all. Is Cadillac still a luxury brand? Or does it compete with mainstream cars now.

Upgrade to 4K cameras

The CUE of my XT5 got broke 3 times and had been replaced 3 times and continue broke the CUE And my previous Cadillac had the same problem Specially in somer Too hot Miami for this CUE And Cadillac does not call for a recall

It actually come in three trim levels with Luxury 2.0T only, Premium Luxury 2.0T & 3.6L V6 and Sport V6 only with Premium Luxury & Sport with Platinum Packages. There is NO BASE!

The XT5 & MDX aren’t really competitors

Not sure why you're comparing a 5 passenger SUV with 7 passenger SUV's. This should be compared with the Lexus NX, Acura RDX, BMW X3, Infiniti QX50, etc...

Either the XT5 or the Palisade. Not impressed with the other competitors.

Note: Acura MDX is a 3 row luxury crossover.

Bottom line is you’ve got better options; but, for some people who want an older car that looks like a newer car there’s Cadillac 😁

I bought my wife three Cadillac CUV's in the past. I recently passed on the 2020 XT5. I bought her a Chevy Equinox Premier 2LZ and saved a bunch of cash. Why? 1) The switches. They were so cheap feeling. So disappointing. The Equinox Premier 2LZ has actual BUTTONS that while not super-premium in their feel actually felt so much better to the touch and actual activation. The second reason was the interior and seat leather. The Equinox Premier leather is not quite as good as the Cadillac but, it was just not worth the many many thousands of dollars the Cadillac was asking. The difference in quality just did not justify the price difference. If Cadillac cannot step up its game to significantly separate itself quality-wise from a top of the line Chevy to justify the Cadillac price premium they will be in deep trouble. The nameplate alone cannot justify the many many thousands of dollars price differential. We are waiting to see what the next-gen XT5 brings to the plate. In the meantime, she's actually satisfied (not ecstatic) with the Equinox Premier 2LZ.

1:15 The MDX doesn't compete with the XT5. The RDX competes with he XT5 & the MDX competes with the XT6

Buy the palisade with that money

​@@georgionw6554 it really is. I have a black on black xt5 with stainless steel and brushed aluminum accents. That along with the minimalist padded leather seats....it just flows and is really nice to ride around in. So quiet too

Its fwd platform that's why, I believe they are switching to rwd platform in a few years and at that point they may have all electric SUVS instead of trying to throw in twin turbo 6's. The Cadillac Sedans and Escalade are a different story though as they all ride on RWD platforms.

I'm supposed to buy a Toyota because they're reliable? Look at this thing! LOL

Just a thought: It is wise of him to smartly differentiate himself in the world of car reviews.

So average and underwhelming. Talk about doing the bare minimum. The crazy MSRP is insulting with those cheap materials. Would not buy over any of the competition. The "400" on the rear tailgate is hilarious and embarrassing at the same time

MSRP on the XT5 is 44 thousand dollars. Most of them come with luxury/sport trim and awd setup, bringing them to about 52 thousand. Most people will lease them and get good deals on leases. It's most certainly not underwhelming, what are you comparing it to?

such a bad design. it looks like a blob on wheels plus its expensive with some cheap bits! why cant we just get it right the first time GM? cadillac should have its own switchgear, its own engines and world class designs! Lincoln on the verge of collapse some years ago finally gets it ! look at its Navigator and Aviator even its Corsair has gotten some great reviews. GM is one of the largest auto company but it seems like it would rather be second best. Stop trying to fool you customer base, step up your game and stop product sharing if you cannot make your products different from one another. QUALITY and INNOVATIVE designs! didnt cadillac develop a self driving car that was supposed to go into the CT6? where is that now? Where are the blackwing engines? the consumer doesnt want parts of a car that are great but the entire car! stop bringing out products that havent been developed entirely. we dont want to hear it has this engine but wait till next year when a better engine will be used. GM please wake up and stop sucking!

I agree! GM is my favorite US automaker but I stick with Honda/Toyota because GM cant seem to get it right! Reliability may have went up from early 2000s but build quality, styling and perfomance is still ages behind their competitors. For example, I like the exterior of the new Trailblazer but the interior is cheaply made, a thrown together design and I can't figure out why they would put a 3 CYLINDER ENGINE in a CUV🤦‍♂️ #HardPass

This GM is a very dangerous company for the client and the tragic experiences I have experienced in great suffering. Be careful!!!!! Share so more customers don't get screwed.

Another BLACK BLACK BLACK Interior. So Over Black interiors. Ford is Famous for Black also. I would REALLY HATE to have the name KAREN right now. I can’t imagine what every school girl named Karen is going through. Horrible

Can barely watch the reviews with this tool

Why do the Cadillac models seem cheap? The car is not really that fancy and for $32,000 I could buy a Honda Pilot LX that has more features and is less money. I think General Motors needs to work on the interior and exterior and make a better quality product that has more style and features for the price.

Karen remarks, my that overpriced Chevy sure is slow but, at least it's unattractive as well. Thank goodness the start/stop system is flawless so you can save the big bucks on gas.
