Love it.

Alpinestars Andes V2
Schuberth C3 Pro
Alpinestars WP Boots
Thanks for watching and for reading this... nobody ever reads descriptions anyway!

Best Xmax review out there! Thanks! I think it is my 15th vid on Xmax and all other sellers reviews show usually on stand still and than 2 minutes ride. After they say how great the bike is and why you should buy it. You say that you have done 2000 miles and why you like the bike so much, why you've changed your mind about scooters and all of it while riding it! With some good examples of filtering. Plus your thoughts about brother in law, Btw. You should try your brother's Tmax for 2 days and give us your thoughts. In general I feel like I would say it all to myself before buying rather than sale person trying to sell it to me. 👍👍👍👍

Thanks Jerry, appreciate the feedback! His TMax is gone now. GS1200 in the garage, I won't be trying it as I'm not a big fan haha.

Great review man! I have the XMAX 400 for almost a year now and I really love it. The only “problem” that I can think of is the annoying vibrations but that can be fixed too, other than that it is a perfect scooter.

Your bloody good at filtering . I’ve just got rid of my ktm superduke 1290r for 2016 Xmax 400. And I I love it . Bloody good scooter .

I have to agree with that statement John Wick with the face of Saul! Do you run it with a custom exhaust or factory? Thanks for watching mate.
Can add a rear box off the end ? more leg room; longer ? Missed the boat with the mirrors left on handlebars !!!
@AJHDuk

Seen a lot of Xmax's with top boxes, they fit just fine and don't look that bad , I'm just against Top Boxes in general as I find they ruin the look of any bike, unless you're on a GS or Africa Twin... It's long but not as long as the TMax and legroom wise, I mentioned in the video that I love the fact that you can stretch your legs on the bike while riding and not have to stay in the same position all the time. Sorry but I didn't get the part about missing the boat with the mirrors. Stay safe mate!
How many miles do you get on a full tank or anyone else who has an x max 400?
How many miles a day do you commute? I have a Cb500f and a full tank gives me about 220 miles. Topping up every other day seems a lot. I get 6 days of riding doing around 38 miles daily.
@AJHDuk
4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, 72 Miles a day roughly. 220 miles is very good. Consider I have never ridden anything in a sensible way , as in, there's always moments when I give it full throttle on my commute, when I merge the motorway, at lights, etc , which means that I'm also not the most efficient ridder.
i love ur videos

Some of your lane filtering is dodgy as f##k!
Sorry for my question but i can not understand english, what is the fuel consumption on normal ride? So 100/130 kmph on the highway? Km/L?
@AJHDuk

Hey there mate, don't apologise. I was getting about 6L/100km at that speed.

6 ltr./100 then somethings wrong with the xmax 400.I only need 3,8 ltr./100 km.And Im not a slow driver.
How is the fuel consumption? L/100km or how much can you go on a full tank?

I did double of what I would normally do with the MT09. I believe Yamaha claim 75mpg but I only got around 55-60 mpg

I currently do 3 L on 100 km with a brand new engine im still in my breaking in period (mileage 400 km) i heard some people are able to 400 + km on a full tank:)

@@AJHDuk i get 55-60mpg on my MT 07 so i think a xmax 300 would be more worth it to save the most on fuel and cheaper tax tyres no chain maintenance am definitely thinking about it

Had an accident, this video was supposed to go live two months ago. All good now, should be back on a bike at some point soon, thanks for checking, appreciate it.
Question for all advanced users in here: is this a good choice for beginners? Totally noob here. Doesnt know a thing about motorcycles. Thnx

I've only tried two "big" scooters , the SH300 from Honda and the X Max from Yamaha. The X Max is great and all but the SH 300 is much easier to handle and flick through traffic as it's light and slim. X Max was more comfortable and I think it had more space too.

@@AJHDuk thank you for your reply. Just a suggestion regarding this video: it would be easier for the viewer if you had voiceover in post rather realtime because its easier to understand what you are saying for us non English speaking. :)

Thanks mate, I'll consider that! All the best!
Thinking of getting one for my London commute, instead of a MT-07. Is that a poor choice considering they're so popular amongst thieves?
@AJHDuk
5 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, if something needs to be stolen it will get stolen, MT07 can be just as popular as the Xmax, you need to make sure you have "proper" alarmed disk locks, not just one on your bike/scooter, a chain and a tracker installed which might lower the risk of it getting stolen. Consider that on a scooter it's much easier to take all.the security with you on your journey. If that's your concern, make sure you use a lot of security, I've got a video coming out in August on this with a funny story. Thanks for watching and commenting ...
Good for cruising at 95-100 mph on the motorway!!! I don't think so
@AJHDuk

I didn't say that mate, I said motorway wise it can get up to 95-100mph cruising speed, which is not bad, power wise. Thanks for watching!

One chain to ground anchor, second chain to light pole, 2 alarmed heavy duty discklocks on front wheel, each side of the disk brakes, one alarmed heavy duty disk lock on the back, one Kryptonite Faghettaboutit DLock on the rear wheel. 2 alarms inside the motorcycle and 2 GPS trackers.

Hello mate, I left all the specs out as that's something you can find on almost every website, I just focused on how you can filter the bike and how it handles and feels in my personal opinion , what I enjoyed and what I didn't , again , from a personal perspective, I'm not a professional reviewer so it's all relatively amatorial. Thanks for watching mate, appreciate your honest feedback, stay safe.
