If you raise your seat height, your arm won’t be hitting the armrest.

I'm sorry but your eyes are literally the same height as the gauge cluster lol, and the center console isn't that high. I believe that's a personal problem. I would give more details about the equipment in the car on the specific trims.

Remember this is a new car, so the gearbox will loosen up over time. You seem to be sitting very low down ? are you short ? because I have not seen any complaints from other testers regarding the centre console being to high, I would say you are sitting too low !! Otherwise a good video, have subscribed !! love the colour of this one, makes the car look so classy !!

Me being a past owner of a P3 V60 who drives an SPA V60 now, I just think he enjoyed the proper sporty seating position that we simply couldn't achive in the old V60. :D That car was on stilts, or the platform just wasn't low enough since I always felt like sitting ON something, not IN something. 😂 Edit after a few days: all of the above should be interpreted in the context that I am a 6'5" (196cm) guy with a long torso (more torso-height than leg-height), and now my head (or at least my hair) does not touch the headliner, like in the old V60... :D

Great review Sean and gorgeous car. Pity most functions are accessed by the touch screen. A bit too distracting while driving :-)

Thank you Andy! Yeah, I get why it's done but it isn't the easiest to deal with in any car... I just poke the dash and hope for the best!

Yes lovely to look at, but I would still prefer separate buttons for essential items, such as heating, volume, music etc, why not have a line of buttons along the bottom of the touch screen, which would eliminate having to scroll through pages of info !! causing a distraction.

Another comprehensive in-depth review maintaining the high standard set, Volvos are getting so much better and shaking off their former boring image but, personally, I'll stick with Audi for now!

Well with all respect, it wasn't all that comprehensive !! very little info about the cabins interior, boot size etc etc, it was well produced though, but to be comprehensive, then you need to go to here.. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iXpopMyvfZauf6Q.html Now this IS comprehensive !!!!!

i have the current v60 which has the 5 cylinder d3. A few points to make and note i'm a volvo fan 1) i'm a little worried to spot in this vid the chrome window trim looking mis aligned from rear door to rear quarter window. I hope this isn't a sign of poor build quality. 2) in defence of the low torque feel at low revs i believe haven driven and owned over a dozen volvos and also a few auids and bmws to compare with. Volvo i would say will have set the drivability of the engine for smooth refined driving. My current v60 has very similar figures in bhp and torque to my old 320d touring. The volvo though feels much much smoother and more refined, if you want torque its there when you ask for it. The bmw seemed to want to deliver its torque the minute you used slight throttle. It resulted in a very agitated and tiring driving experience the engine was very tense and highly strung. Again tuned for the track and not for real life .

Nice one I have the same model as yourself and yes I'm a Volvo fan of both the cars and trucks, but I have too say this v60 I've got maybe the last sadly the latest saga involves the leather bolster on the driver's seat coming adrift, new lumber section quoted by my local dealer at £751.00 all in to replace - not a very happy bunny right now.

OK Sean. A little more time with the design front and rear, a bunch more time with the new fabulous interior, including you sitting in the rear, showing us the packaging (roominess) of the new platform and also then showing us the boot, as well as a bit less time watching you speak (talking head gets a bit boring) and we would have a really terrific review.

I just bought a v60 t5 rdesign- love it! My doctor (we talk cars a lot) when looking to buy a car narrowed it down to the Volvo and the Merc. He went with the merc simply because the Volvo he wanted colour wise was going to take 6 months to arrive. That was a year ago. He told me this week that he regrets not waiting! 😬 Either way, enjoy your new company car!

I think that one must understand what Volvo is meant to be. It's not like a Ferrari, but it's also not meant. Those who prefer Volvo are also not interested in playing a go-cart.

  • @newmotoring

Yes, it's not a Ferrari, totally get that. But dynamics are important, whatever you're driving. There's no point a car looking good if it's terrible to drive!

  • @RobertWilliams-hj3ic

Disappointed with this review. Not enough detail about the car and too much talk about his likes and dislikes. What model was he driving? There are four levels: Momentum, Momentum Pro, Inscription and Inscription Pro. Just a talking head and I'm not impressed.
