Black Texas Governor No I didn’t, principally because neither of the 2 dealers I was negotiating with could get a T4 for me to test drive. Plenty of diesels, but I want petrol, and T5s are fairly plentiful, but that engine is a bit too thirsty for my liking and I reckon I’d be happy with the 190 bhp that the T4 puts out. 250 bhp would be fun, but I don’t really need it. T4s are more available now, but I don’t want to consider changing my car until July/August time and I have other priorities right now.

This has to be the best review I’ve ever seen for this car. Many thanks.

just a note regarding ordering individual options. Buying a base model and adding individual options will not maximise resell value as the car will still get priced as its base model, regardless of what you put on it. It is far better from a residual value perspective to opt for a quantifiable derivative model that holds its own primary CAP ID. In addition, BLIS is not available at the time of writing this comment due to the world shortage of super-conductors.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply Just bought one, after driving a 2017 Kia Ceed 1.5 Diesel for 2 and a half years. The Kia was a GT Line (top of the range), but the V60 D4 is Momentum spec, so have lost toys like reversing camera, auto-dimming mirror, proximity key fob, and 12v socket in the boot (WHY don't premium cars do the very basics like this I don't know!). Also no spare wheel, just a gunk injection kit. On the other hand, you can turn the rain-sensing windscreen wipers off (Yay!), have an auto-dipping main beam, voice commands, auto-boot open/close and the road noise at motorway speeds is quiet (the Kia's biggest failing). Agree the auto box is not perfect, and it's more built for comfort than fun, but I really like the V60. It's comfortable, economical, respectable in terms of speed, looks good, drives well, very safe, and is a bit of an outsider considering the number of BMWs and Mercs on the road. I might well keep it while ever driving a diesel is still legal :-)

5 years later, gift me this beautiful v60. sounds difficult but possible.

Great review. The boot shape and space is very narrow with high walls, that's what Skoda does to it's estates, it reduces the load space considerably. Volvo is usually much wider and open in the boot of its estates. I have a V70 III and that narrow boot space on the new V60 means I'll be hanging onto it for a few years or having a look at the V90. Even the V90 doesn't have the 40/20/40 split rear seats the V70 does, they have not really thought about the practicality of these new models : Wide boot space 3 way split rear seats, this is basic stuff for Volvos and they are missing. I have just replaced my V6 A4 Avant Quattro for the Recharge hybrid. The boot is larger despite the battery pack. The car handles exceptionally well and the turn in is far superior. It can drive RWD, FWD or AWD. This is a seriously capable car.

I thought the UK standard power from a standard wall plug was 13 amp ? NOT 6 amp ?

What comes to my mind first is not safe and sensible. It's stylish and chic. Now, seeing that it is a Volvo it will follow that it is safe and sensible. Though some things about it sacrifice a bit more function and sensible quality for style considerations. It could use more physical buttons, but they went for a minimal amount, for instance. I like OSV reviews. They're thorough and actually longer than Autogefühl's.
