S63 looks too much like a C class though, that’s one place where Mercedes messed up on. Even big car enthusiasts would have slight trouble of telling the difference between a c, e & and an s class coupe from far. Definitely wouldn’t bet your house on it

The S Coupe is a few years old and still looks so damn good! It was ahead of its time.

That 4.0 V8 is very impressive, 612hp and the same torque figures as a Twin Turbo W12.

To each his own but I would pick the Bentley above the Merc for so many reasons, it's more unique and rare, has a w12 engine which sounds way better and the interior is a lot more cosy to be in. It also looks so nice.

@Kzn Nzn Bentley is basically VAG so not realy true. I own a s204 c63 amg so not biased either. Both are reliable altho my engine the m156 got it fair share of problems.

S63 all day everyday. I have it. I chose it over the Bentley. For 1 very specific reason. Luxury. Benz bested Bentley at their own game. The leather is so much softer. The massage is more pronounced. The speed is better. The ride is smoother. The cabin is quieter. The Benz just does the Bentley better. I am talking the new GT by the way. Not the 18 or below. 19’ and up only. The S63 is just ahead of the game of luxury and sport right now. Nobody touches them. I am a Rolls fan by the way. The Benz just took my heart by storm. Couldn’t believe how much more of a car it was by comparison to the GT and Wraith. They have a lot to catch up on. Benz just needs to do small updates every few years to stay ahead of the game. Incredible vehicles. Both of them.

I have the S63 too and agree with all of your points. I think most people answering here don't have either car, so they probably haven't actually sat in either car, or driven either car. For most of them, their opinion is based entirely on videos like this one. But when you actually sit in these cars and drive them, well the Benz is the winner in all but the most subjective categories - and everyone has the right to their own opinion about aesthetics.

In Germany everybody drives an amg it’s pretty common. Bentley on the other hand is more unique and the interior is the best I have ever seen. Would go with the continental gt all day !

S63 Coupe all day. It just looks amazing inside out. The head lights, rear lights, the Panamericana grill, the AMG exhaust pipes and the whole interior is unbeatable. And the S63 coupe sounds way better even though it uses the M177 engine to replace the 5.5 M157 engine that sounds even better. But that resulted in better acceleration performance. 3.4 0-100 and 1/4mile under 11.5 for a big luxury coupe is mind blowing. As comparison Bentley is always ugly as hell. Maybe this two door Bentley is the least ugly car in their lineup but that wouldn't change much.

No, the Bentley Conti GT is one of the very, very few cars that have a better interior than the S class coupe. Actually, it might be THE best one out there.

I think it’s about a tie on interior but remember this design for Mercedes is about 5 years old already so is jut caught up.

I've always been a Mercedes-Benz lover. And the S63 AMG Coupe is among my favorite cars they build. I'd rather take the Benz. Plus I feel that the S63 would be more reliable on the road with that 4.0 V8 than the Bentley's 6.0 W12. Mercedes-Benz for me.

Taylor Williams I agree, but the old Conti was actually pretty damn reliable. I have a family friend that’s had a few of them (now on a GT Speed) and he’s had zero issues with them. Older models too. His current one is like a 2009 or 2010. Though I’d still pick the Merc because I think it looks better and has a nicer looking interior.

@@BeesonsCars I know I hate sounding like a fanboy whenever I say I like something, but I've always had a thing for Mercedes since I was little. The S Class was always my favorite class of car they made. The E Class was next in my favorites like the E63 S AMG sedan & wagon. The first car I actually loved from them when I was little was the 1997 S500. Mercedes-Benz is my favorite foreign luxury/performance car maker, but I'll always love 1960s-1970s American muscle cars. Shelbys, GTOs, Chevelles, Chargers, hard to not love classic muscle cars.

Taylor Williams I’ve been the same way. My grandma had always leased a new C class every 2 years from the time I was born to about 12 years old. Then she got a 2000 S500 (needed something bigger and didn’t want to lease again.) that’s when I really fell in love with Mercedes. The car was just SO advanced for the time. Heated/Cooled seats, push start, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, bi xenon lights and more. Then a few years later I convinced my uncle (who lives with my family) to get a low mileage 2006 E350. I basically learned to drive on that car and absolutely loved it. When I turned 16 my family gave me their 2010 Camaro SS and I loved the car. It was loaded with a 6 speed manual and only 13k miles! But I grew far too large for me to be comfortable in it. I’m 6’3 and 200 pounds and I was as far back as the seat track went and my feet wore a hole in the floor mats because the pedal box was way too small for anyone with a shoe above size 12. So when looking for a new car my family friend (who owns the Bentley) showed me his business partner’s W221 2007 S550 that was for sale. My family loved the car and it’s service history (1 owner, every single service record down to the receipt for each time it had its tires changed.) I loved how large it was and we were sold. It’s by far the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven and it’s still really fast. 0-60 in about 5.3 seconds. It’s beautiful and pretty well optioned. AMG sport package, Premium 1 and Premium 2. Wooden steering wheel as well. I was so lucky my parents were so generous. I’ve now had the car for about a year and a half and still smile everytime I get in. There’s just something about an S class that makes you relaxed, regardless of age. I got the car with 79k miles and now have almost 96k miles and it’s been decent reliability wise. We maintain it very well and the only real issues so far have been the tires (the car EATS tires, 11k miles on my set of tires I got last year and they’re already bald. ) I cracked my front left rim, and some minor suspension issues like bushings and control arms. Luckily my family has helped me DIY 99% of issues I’ve had. Awesome cars. The W140 is probably one of my favorite S class designs. So regal and imposing. Almost rolls Royce like in intimidation and class.

@@BeesonsCars Hmm. That doesn't sound normal. Cars shouldn't go through tires that quickly. Maybe there's something going on with your suspension or control arms or something. Or maybe they don't have the right amount of PSI air pressure being put into them. Cars should never eat tires like that that soon. I'd get that looked at ASAP. But nevertheless, MB has always captured my heart when it comes to German automotive engineering. There's just something about those cars that just grab me. They're luxurious, practical, reliable, fast, comfortable, fun, technologically advanced compared to most luxury cars, the whole package. BMW & Audi make nice vehicles too, but there's only 2 cars I like from each of those brands. The M5 & X5M from BMW and the RS7 & RS5 Sportback from Audi. MB has a handful of cars I love from them. S63 AMG Coupe & Sedan, E63 S AMG Sedan & Wagon, the new G63 SUV coming out, the new GT63 S AMG hatchback coming out, MB has the luxury car down if you ask me. Bentley & RR are nice too, but too expensive to buy & maintain and not as impressive of vehicles compared to MB in terms of looks, reliability or technology. At least that's how I feel. MB is luxury car king in my eyes. Audi is 2nd & BMW is 3rd. For me that is.

Taylor Williams I totally agree. As far as tire wear I did do a few burnouts on the rear so they’re like 1/32 tread right now and my fronts are 3/32. I run them at the factory recommend 35 psi. They’re pirelli P zero Nero all seasons. I hated them the moment I got them. I’m getting some cooper zeon tires next. They have a longer tread life and are much cheaper. They have better reviews too. I took the car to my local discount tire for an estimate on new tires and my mb dealer the next day to get serviced and they both said that’s almost normal behavior for a Merc with the staggered wheel setup. But the fronts are unevenly worn from the control arm issues. I’m replacing them next week when the parts come in. Thanks for the info tho!

Was the S63 AMG 4matic/4matic+, or any kind of AWD, bec in most of the markets, specially in the most asian markets, its only available in RWD!!!

With a real V12 the outcome might have been different. It has to be said though that performance-wise all 12-cylinders dont make much sense any more because they are heavily limited by gearboxes which typically only handle a max of 1000 Nm and that figure can also be achieved by heavily blowing a V8.

Bentley looks better inside for me I think 👍

The S63 sounds better but the GT just is so cool and looks expensive. Both are flying machines on the road. Love both but for me the GT, it just is so lovely inside. It's high tech but looking plush and old school.

sky sander it would be useless cause S65 is not an all wheel drive car like the Bentley altough has more torque..but still useless. Right comparison would be in cruising at high speeds / interior comparison for example.

I LOVE them both! But if I HAD to choose it would be the Bentley. I’ve been fortunate enough to see one at a dealership in that car is absolutely EPIC. The Merc is amazing too.

Somehow every time someone gets into a V8 powered car people forget how to drive automatic transmissions I know it’s for the sound but it’s sort of annoying to shift three times in a second and not to stay in a certain gear for more than 10 seconds you can drive spirited and have it in sport mode without shifting like a maniac too 😄

Damn both are amazing I wouldn’t cared which 1 but the Benz sound a lot better
